Well, luckily I can still do my advanced keying in Natron. I’m thinking about doing a series of blender 2.8+natron in VFX. I’ve been asked that several times. But I’d been gone from blender for about 5 years (got frustrated with its lack of shadow catching. Looking at 2.8 I was like: wow! They’ve done a lot in 5 years. So I stopped upgrading my Modo (staying with the foundry ;) ) and I think I’ll do a complete compositing course. Because most beginner vfx people have not clue as to scientifically approach color matching, keying and the subtleties of compositing. So I’m currently orientation what is available and whether it’s worth the effort. You got some good stuff, great filmmaker!
Hello! What if I have a situation where I need to remove the background from hair and need to keep all the whispies and other detail but the background is the same color as the face? How can I extract the hair and keep the original colors of the face?
Chris I know you have locked off your camera for the shot so that you don"t have to track, but what about those micro vibrations that you don"t see with your eyes.
Hello! I'm still anxious to hear back from you! I'm trying to get far away from After effects and Adobe... I've asked you for this on another showed tutorial and I'm trying to get your attention very humbly. I have a video of a moving figure(person) - I'm trying to change parts of the person's figure maybe from fat to skinny on the torso...and of coarse make it look real and natural. How can I do this on Natron? I was also inspired many years ago by the demon face warp tutorial by Andrew Kramer...How can we do this in Natron? That was Andrew Kramer's most famous tutorial I think. Can you help me out?
Holy crap...it actually has IBK clone exactly the same. I can't believe The Foundry hasn't killed this yet. I'm going to give this a shot...if I can stop paying foundry I'm in!
There's a few things missing, the biggest being a 3D workspace, but I have two other videos on the channel showing a workaround for that using Blender. Particles are missing too, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've needed them, and there are other options for that.

hey your awesome love your videos
Awesome
Hey how do you make the screen bigger as your drawing the mask? How do you zoom in and out? I can't seem tot do that on my laptop.
You scroll middle mouse as on many other softwares. But on a laptop idk how to do it, if you can emulate 3 button mouse as in blender.

With the optical stabilization of the lens, it hasn't been a problem

Richard Servello same here! All of Natron is a copy of Nuke.
Their whole IP is stolen - I’m not complaining though :)
very unstable software
