Thanks! I really liked it but unfortunately it passed through to the next realm shortly after. Was sad. Sold what was left on eBay though so not all bad.
Thanks! Loved your channel when getting to grips with this machine. Sadly it now sits in bits in a box having gone the way of so many others. Do you need one for spares?
RaveTracks It’s in bits in a box. Two buttons stopped working so I replaced all the switches and they still don’t work. Maybe the board? Probs ok for someone who knows electronics. Might try and sell it as spares to someone on the Facebook group or eBay. Have a Digitakt now which eases the pain a bit. I did love this charming box of tricks though.
guys what is your opinion on the rm1x? I am considering to buy one, but have heard that it isn't too easy to use. Wanna use it to create common techno tracks and probarbly live performance. From what i have heard is that it has almost no space to safe tracks/patterns? Is it true? Greetings
Hi Mr Lenin. I didnt find it difficult - it depends on how much experience you have in general with synths and grooveboxes. There are no storage issues I can remember. The problem is they are all old and prone to fail. Mine did and I am going to eBay it for spares. I have the Digitakt now which is more money of course but so so good.
@@dg1llard good to know thanks! I have mine now and it is a really amazing machine. Hope it will be useful enough for my purposes, but it is a all-in one piece, very compact. Have no clue about machines its my first. Been djing though for 1 year now on 3 turntables most of the time but wanted also to make own sounds
Used old floppy disc works in RM1X . You'd be surprised at how much music creation you can save to a floppy. I've done full sets off of 3 floppy disc in a night of performing. RM1X loads pretty fast. can also remix your songs live. Just don't forget to record your remix to outboard gear separate from RM1X.
bmxband1t77 they are just old now and prone to switch failure. It turned out mine had some shonky soldering by someone inside too that failed. I sold it to some electronics guy so I like to think it’s had a second chance and is still making music somewhere!
The airy string pad is a beauty. How different is the CDR enhanced version fro the original Volca sound? Which Volca patch was that? Really nice end result, so airy. Thanks!
P. Schouten Hi there, thanks for the compliment. The CDR is changing the sound completely. I am using the poly mode of the Volca to create chords, but to be honest almost any sound source would create a similar sound if you use the particle reverb on the CDR.
this is really gooooood!! Can I ask a question though? Just got the rm1x and when I save a user preset and try to load it, it has the right midi notes but not the correct instruments! any ideas? Thanks a keep makin' this inspiring stuff for all of us!
Hi. Thanks for the compliment. Sorry I cant help with the problem, I've never had that happen. Mine has practically stopped working now. It seems they get temperamental with age. What a shame...
Hi, nice video, nice music! I have a question about RM1X. RM1X ist also like multi midi channel Sequencer like MPC? I mean, Can I provide sequence from RM1X to another synthesizers at the same time? Thanks:)
Googling RM1X vs RS7000 will give you a lot of info. Main thing for me is the loop remix function of the RS7000 - which enables you to take a track and remix it on the fly. It also samples, has two midi outs and more knobs. But it's a big beast :)
Happy I found this. Many thanks for sharing ✨
This hits "the spot".
Hi, thank you!
Nice composition!
Brilliant sequencer !

Nice & chilled. Good sequence, indeed.
Hi Stefano. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
Very kool !
Many thanks!
LOVE this sound!
Hi, Thanks!
This sounds really dope on 2X.
The bassline sounds lolz!
Superb and beautiful!

Nooo, surely it can be saved!

Hi. Really pleased you like it. Many thanks.
Lovely sounds and top composition! :-)
Thanks so much!
So good to see the old rm1x! I sometimes wish I had not sold mine. Amazing sequencer. Is that the zoom cdr 70? It sure makes the rm1x sounds good!
Hi. I just got it and am really enjoying it. Yeah It is the CDR70. The Volca is running through it to get the pad sound.
Thanks for subscribing.
RainClouds Nice! Thank you sir.
Hardware sequencers are truly the backbone of great music. the limitations force you to be extra creative IMHO
lovely!
Hi. Thanks a lot!
well done , like, very powerfull , greetings m.
Hi. Glad you like it. Many thanks!
I miss my RM1X. It died on me :( Great instrument tho and a very nice sequencer.
This was excellent.
Hi Matt. Many thanks. It is a great box. Best £100 I ever spent.
It didn't die Matt, you broke it and you know you did :D
I got one recently for £50 ..wicked machine
soul+tech=awesome
Cheers!
Lush, lovely vibe! Musical and hypnotic, loved it :)
Hi. Really glad you did! Appreciate the comment as aways.
Good vibe!!

Hi Emil. Thanks!
RM1X 😍

This one died but I sold it to an electronics engineer so hopefully it lives again somewhere.
@@dg1llard ha ha and it lives in the songs
@@dg1llard Dude i have MC 303 running at home, all perfect but one claviatur key . 👆
'whatever' lol
really nice feel on this.
well done. =)
Hi. Thanks a lot for the comment.
did i ever dare dream
think you just sold me on this machine. beautiful stuff! where are the soft pads coming from....Volca or the RM1x?
The volca, which is going through the effects pedal. It’s a great bit of kit, but they’re old now and prone to fail. Mine did 😪

Lenin On Acid The RM1x is just amazing. Yes it takes time to learn, bit it is pure fun to explore it.

The string pad sound is the one in isolation at about 7:00. Thanks.

Nice sounds!
May I ask how did you connect the keys so that the RM1x can sequence both keys and its internal sounds?
Hi Peter. Thanks for the compliment. You can send any one of the Yamaha's 16 tracks to midi out.
That only lasted just under 8 minutes but I swear an hour went by ...

Yes, you can
I had a RM1X but now use a RS7000 which I prefer for it's functionality but dislike for it's size :)
Hey thank you for your Answer!
Why do you prefer RS7000 than RM1X for functionality?
I'm not sure which one I will buy..!

Hi. Thanks for the compliment. I see you have answers already. Bear in mind the RM1X has a tendancy to go very wrong - mine has RIP. :-(
OMG I loved my rmx....but the power is wobbly and it keeps cutting out. so sad.
Yeah they are really good. The switches are failing fast on this one. I have bought replacements and a soldering iron and am prepping for surgery...
