Absolutely loved Digimon growing up and really wish people would stop looking down on it just cause it's not as famous as Pokémon, I love both series but wish Digimon got more love.

Never played a Digimon but it definitely looks like they’re trying more than Pokémon.
You should try something from Shin Megami Tensei or Persona, the progenitor of "collectibles monsters" is Atlus and is still kickin with every new game.
Digimon has always tried more than Pokemon, it just never got as big.

@@jamiecranton it's not just strategy rpg it has in common chucklehead. The talking to digimon to recruit them is straight from shin megami tensei and the art style is very similar to devil survivor. I would see your point if I said this was a FF tactics clone. Moron.

He's saying this game has the same vibe as a Devil Survivor game, but with a different battle system. Take being trapped in Tokyo with demons, and replace the demons with Digimon, and you get this game.

The only Digimon games i played were the ones for GBA, so i can't say im hyped for this game. But i have fond memories of Tamers, if Impmon is in the game i'll consider it.

Digimon deserve much more than this. I personally prefer digimon over pokemon and I always get frustrated with how bad digimon games are, digimon creatures are so stylish and the universe is so rich, there is a real potential for a AAA game.
it's just a side project game. Digimon has confirmed they have been making another 3D game similar to Digimon Cyber Sleuth while they were making this game

They are working on another game in the at the moment, that is part of the stories series which includes cyber sleuth

Very disappointed that this game is 70% dialogue. That’s just way to boring. I want to play the game not sit there and watch a visual novel. I’m extremely disappointed in that because I was looking forward to this game. I’ve been waiting years. You’re basically paying for an online book with minimal gameplay

it's actually fully 3D environments for both battles and the overworld that purposefully looks 2D because they want to make you feel like you're playing an anime.
