I've got ~800kms on mine (2023 version, new last month) and I use re-gen brakes exclusively. SO much better than the Ghost. I haven't had a single flat yet (lots of gravel, a few big bumps) but I guess it's due. I always take Slime & a portable air compressor with me. The balancing beads is something I never considered - I do notice a bit of a wobble at very high speeds (60 km/h) that is unnerving. I ordered the same tires again, since they're great quality so far. I also ordered offroad tires for it. I'm told by several riders that they ride theirs in the rain all the time with no problems. It's only got an IP rating of IP54, so that concerns me - but I want to try riding in light rain soon. Don't want a rainy day to ruin a ride! Nice video.
hahaha thank you for posting this as a new scooter buyer and with the port delays i've been kinda nervous keeping my preorder with apollo with your review it helps me stay calm and wait, and with your only main problem being flats at least it's not one of their proprietary parts so i wont be waiting on them to ship stuff, because from what i heard their only problems are shipping since they are a newer company and don't have the infrastructure yet to deal with the demands that the scooter industry needs, especially since they have been doing game changing upgrades that everyone is excited about
If you hustle it like a gorilla and don't ever maintain it , you could be heading into trouble. I will release a video on some tips how to maintain it.
It sold with 2 batteries, one being brand new from Apollo warranty, and 2 new unmounted stock tires for $1800 cdn. That helped lots to sell it at that price.
Yeah my suspension ring looks the same with the tight cable. You have to check every so often because it'll get tight again. I've got 2500 km on mine now, only one flat, but my outer tires are getting very worn down and I just recieved some new ones from Ali express. Very cheap from there, same brand as from Apollo (paid 65 cad for 2 + tubes). I did break my stem bolt, but it's because it was loose. That was at about 1200 km, no issues since. Just check it's tight every so often. Otherwise my rear brake disc brake rubs badly. I think the actual mount is bent because I think the disk itself is flat. Otherwise I'm loving it.
Thanks for your input, the rear caliper alignement can be ajusted witht 2 top allen screws, 5 mm if not mistaken. Inner Tubes I got a pair for 18$ CAD on amazon, much ticker material.
@@vwbora26 nice, good find with the tubes. It's not the caliper, it's the mount that holds the disk on. I don't think it's exactly straight. so even if the disk is perfectly flat, it still wobbles as the wheel turns because the surface it's mounted on isn't perfect. Oh well, I've pretty much accepted it. I just keep the brake loose to prevent rubbing and that's ok. I don't really use the rear brake anyway so I don't mind if I have to pull the lever a long way.
What tubes did you end up going with? I've had similar issues with Apollo inner tubes. My Apollo Ghost has quite a few miles on it, and it's been pretty great as well. The only maintenance I've had to do is repair flats, and my tires started to wear out so I got some PMT E tires for it. I've got an Apollo Phantom V3 on order because I really want that dedicated regen brake. I'm curious about the locking feature in the app. Does it work when the scooter is off, or am I going to have to leave the scooter on if I want to take advantage of that feature? I couldn't find anything in any of the Apollo videos about it.
Locking feature leave a little P on the screen and no imputs of trottle will work and the wheels locks, it's not on or off per say. 1PZ inner tubes , 10×2.5 will work good. Hope this helps.
Wow, you didn't have many issues at all with yours! I had alot more flats and other issues even by 2000km (I'm at about 5000km now). But I've had to do lots of repairs. It was nonfunctional about 30% of the time... but I still love the scooter!

Thanks for this 🙏🏿
You are welcome
nice review I've got the V2 right now, ordered the V3 kit 2 weeks ago still waiting on it.
You will not be disapointed, thanks for your input!
Apollo is 🗑
I loved my Apollo V2. Stock tires wore off at 2200 km. Had to replace them before I sold it.

Why'd you sell it?
Not fast enough 😭
BALLANCING BEADS, best idea yet which brand and how did you do it!

I put flatout in my apollo ghost and a new tube in the back tire.
Thanks for sharing !
I do the same. Any anti flat works great. Even on a flat it could work with another 100 miles.

I was considering this scooter, until you said it uses tubed tires, I mean seriously?
Tubed tires have better breaking btw
