It looks like those sliders need to be turned into a ski like shape if they redo the sliders in the future. It will help with not digging into the dirt and shoving rocks and dirt up into the body of the camper. Also having larger tires on the trailer would be better for the suspension clearance on obstacles. Other than that, looks like a great trailer!
That was such a cool video. Happy I found your channel. Great Skills by the Gladiator Driver. I’ve been looking into Mammoth Trains for a couple of weeks now. Might be placing an order because of your video.
Dear Maker..... I know shat they say about opinions and all... but me, if I were to buy one of these from you I would custom order mine 4 ft. longer. That way I'd feel like a king salmon in a can instead of a sardine in a can. Great concept on your park. Love the Timken set up
Really cool looking trailer. I like that it is a king size bed. Definitely needs to be reworked as far as clearance and a better suspension. Timberen not bad but I would look into cruisemaster or similar suspension
HI MAXX 👋 PRETTY TIGHT JOURNEY ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 IT COULD OF BEEN WORSE ! GOOD DIRECTIONS 👍 I DON'T THINK I'D BE GOING THAT WAY ! GLAD NOT TO MUCH DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK OR TRAILER ! HOW MUCH ARE THE MAMMOTH TRAILERS GOING FOR 🤔 ? THANK YOU 🙏 GORGEOUS VIDEO FOOTAGE 📹 GLAD NOBODY GOTTEN HURT TOO !
I think round-tube sliders with a radius front would have helped a little. Realistically, most people who own these types of trailers aren't testing them as severely as you did in this video, so a slightly larger tire is likely the only mod needed. Great video Maxx!
Maybe some 10” small wheels under the front corners would be sweet, even removeable. Like you see on handtrucks,or wheelbarrows. You could leave them mounted or pull pins and stow them. Just a thought.
This is where the hi-lift jack that everyone carries around comes into play, jack the back of the trailer and flop it over to the passenger side, it will move about a foot over!
Great video Max only thing I could see that that trailer is missing is just a little bit more of a lift on it and then it would be perfect but keep the videos coming buddy. Ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
I'm wondering how well The Mamoth Foamie Trailer holds up! As I talked to the Lead Engineer on it in person at Overland Expo West in 21,or 22 ,and he told me that they are a foam core, and that the structure is Very thin J Straps!🤔 Still think that they need to build a 5' Wide for us Skinny Jeepers!
Does mammoth overlanding offer those trailers with lift compatible to a lifted tow vehicle, ie (truck or jeep) Which would alleviate dragging that over obstacles To an extent
Hello, my name is Nolan Strawn and I work for Mammoth Overland. To answer your question, yes we do offer a lifted suspension. The suspension itself is a 2" lift from standard AS WELL as bigger tires. All in all it's just about 4" lift.
Knowing the ballpark price of this trailer made this painful to watch O_o. As someone considering a trailer, I would consider them good for base camp and really rough "roads" like old logging roads. But then park it and go play without the trailer in tow.
IMHO, that should convince anyone thinking of buying one of these trailers to invest in the 2" lift option and 33" tires...and Mammoth should consider that as standard if they are truly marketing as offroad trailers. The whole point of such a trailer is not to have to skull drag it through obstacles. Make the the option to downsize if you planning on sticking to gravel roads..
Dude I said the same thing! Taylor’s Jeep is a beast! The trailer would sit nicely on 35s but we will need to discover another way to lift it since it doesn’t have an axle
@@Maxx.Powell IIRC Timbren has multiple configuration option for those axles. I've seen one listed with a 4" lift. Though how that effects performance/center of gravity/etc on the trailer would be unknown
I feel like if the tires were more in the middle than being way back it’ll do better off road on the hills so it won’t hit the rock sliders and the tire would ride up once you get to the hill.
I think the trailer would be cool in the back of the truck after taking bed off. I'm not a fan of pulling a trailer off road. Very nice trailer. Sliders around the door would be sweet. Or x cage it.
trailer tongue should of been a lot shorter . what the hell were🤣 they thinking when designing this thing, LOL. No rear suspension articulation . Maybe the trailer builders have never been off road,I think you need to take trailer designer off road . shocks and springs anyone . haave putting camper back together
Gladiator for the win!
Rad trailer! I’ll recreate the trip with my ancient Coleman tent trailer! 😂 It’ll be fine.
Lol what could go wrong 😂

Agreed! That was my suggestion as well. It be cool to convert that slider to an angled ski with a flat skid plate bottom to help it slide
Best marketing video for Mammoth overland trailer! Looks like a solid trailer.
I’m shocked we didn’t break it. That really is one tough trailer
That trailer is great. Mammoth build tough trailer. Rock sliders are 🔥

Great to hear man. Glad you found my videos! Thanks for the encouragement 👊
Great video Maxx
Thanks brother!
Great video! Should have my trailer this December! Can't wait!! Thanks for the video Maxx!!
Good vlog and driving!

Love your videos bro the Tundra is looking great
Thanks man, i appreciate you watching!
It's just really TIGHT LOL!! That's what SHE SAID!!😂
Fitting comment for Tactical G Spot lol. 👊
I’m sold. You’re located in Woodinville, right? I’m going to come down this week and see if we can get a build going! :)
Wish I had seen the new and improved Tundra pulling the trailer. Great Video!
Sweet to put the Mammoth through the ringer! That Jeep did work with ease. Cheers from AZ!
Thanks 👍
Awesome video.

Awesome. I’ve been researching trailers for about a month now and I do be that’s the Lock N Roll hitch. Great content as always! 🤘
I think you are correct! thanks for watching!
All these Timbren suspensions look very bouncy. Doesn't look like there's much dampening.
What was the trailer hatch called? How do you get that installed?
Hey! That hitch is called Lock n Roll hitch. You can order them anywhere online and it easily slides onto the receiver tube of the trailer
Max is there still discounts at Heretic Studios by mentioning you?
Yeah man. Use the code MAXX10 👊
That trail was a bit too much for that trailer….? Oh my…! :-o
This is where the hi-lift jack that everyone carries around comes into play, jack the back of the trailer and flop it over to the passenger side, it will move about a foot over!
Keep us updated on your business too. Entrepreneur stuff is interesting.
I think that a good offroad trailer should have 35" tires.
Great video Max only thing I could see that that trailer is missing is just a little bit more of a lift on it and then it would be perfect but keep the videos coming buddy. Ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
Company logo is🔥 Cool vid
Hey thanks man. I’m really happy with how the logo and company branding has turned out! Thanks for watching my video
I’ve been wanting an off-road trailer like that.

Any merch coming soon?
There is still merch for sale at maxxpowell.com. But I don’t have many new designs
Are you getting another hawk
Not likely, I’m sorry. I miss falconry but it doesn’t fit my lifestyle

I never really cared for the gladiator until seeing this one on 40’s.
That trailer needs a axle flip and some 35’s
Dude I said the same thing! Taylor’s Jeep is a beast! The trailer would sit nicely on 35s but we will need to discover another way to lift it since it doesn’t have an axle

Those metal rails on the trailer need to have a rake up on the front so it forces it to go below the rails.
adjustable hitch, raise the point of connection
I totally agree!

I have a concept drawing of this exact idea! I need to find a king bed diesel for something like that!
Yeah buddy
Ay, thanks for watching!
Maxx didn’t break something this time? Wow!
Lol. Oh but I did. I just had to hold off on posting it for now 😅
@@Maxx.Powell pretty crazy how well the Gladdy pulled that Mammoth (no pun intended) through the forest! can’t wait to see the next #Maxxident
How many eggs were broken in the filming of this video?
Tubular sliders would have worked better I think
Wasn't he not worried about the tree stump?
The American flag in the passenger side is backwards and drives me crazy.
things definitely will not be where you left them
Hahaha yeah it was a yard sale in there lol
@@Maxx.Powell here’s your camper sir shaken ,not stirred
With enough speed you could have drifted the s turns easily
High risk high reward lol 😂
I'm not entirely sure he knows how to drive with a trailer....or in general
That's true. I literally crash every single time I try to drive anything. It's crazy. Constantly crashing into everything.
I thought he did a fantastic job.
@Maxx Powell Yeah I thought, considering how hard that trail looks. He did all right.
trailer tongue should of been a lot shorter . what the hell were🤣 they thinking when designing this thing, LOL. No rear suspension articulation . so please get hitch that can be adjusted moving forward that way you can raise and lower the angle of attack.. NERDS destroying my backyard :)
Good thing no trails were damaged in the filming of this video…smh
It’s literally a designated off road park lol 🙄
Reinforcement of the sliders and angle them with a shorter length hitch
I agree this is the way
@Maxx Powell this is the way. I'm ordering mine on Monday ill mention your channel
