Cognitive Disability Fitness is an exercise program that goes at a slower pace, still while keeping it safe, effective, and fun. It is perfect for anyone, especially those needing a slower paced workout due to Alzheimer's or other dementias, stroke, and more. They are great workouts to incorporate into a daily routine if the participant is at home, or in memory care or an assisted living community.
In this exercise video Meredith guides you through a slow and steady, easy to follow seated exercise routine using only a simple towel for resistance. Seated exercises are perfect for those who may have physical and or mental limitations. Staying seated during exercise provides a stable base for both upper and lower body movements. In this routine we are utilizing a simple towel to build strength and stamina across upper, mid and lower body parts.
Remember to only do moves that you feel comfortable with and that don't cause any pain or discomfort. Keep your water close by and take breaks when you need to.
    Have a great workout!
