They were not a failure by any regard, they were very good helper engines. They did exactly what they were designed for. A slow shove 15 miles up a mountain.
Too $$$$$ for me, but a great locomotive that was a failure un real life, but great model RR piece, the green boiler on the Denver model looks real nice
It looks so good! If I had the money to get one of these, it would be the 2603 Matt H. Shay. I do hope that Lionel does make HO Versions of the Triplex. After all, they did acquire the O Scale Tooling from MTH.
Save your money....the old MTH one is BETTER. Lionel's QC has slipped, they won';t fix defective products, either....and their customer service stinks.....
A literal wheelslip feature. Now that's a first in o-gauge model railroading.
Another Jay! That looks like a cool as locomotive! Keep up the great work buddy 👍
It makes a lot of sense to make this a Vision Line model.
Holy Cow!!! A Lionel Triplex!
This is going to be incredible but goes with the massive price tag. I can’t wait to see the actual model. 😊
Great review! Thank you.
It’s a shame that these things in real life were failures, these things are still very freaking awesome!

I wonder if this will become the norm for Lionel. Offering the Vision Line separately from the regular catalogs.🤔
Their actually was a VGN 701 in real life but it was a 2-8-8-2 Y3
really sad i can't get one of these. hopefully lionel got the railking version to make a lionmaster triplex
Lionel didn’t buy a whole lot from MTH, Plus most of the stuff Lionel did buy from them was Premier tooling.
Where did you get this catalog at of the 2024 try plex and all?
AMAZING Locomotive
What's the price
@@JamesGaston-v4g$2499.99 MSRP
what hobby shop leaked it
Where did you get these pictures? Is this a joke?
TELL ME THE TRUTH
@@rail-ryder7135it’s a leak
Nope, it’s not a joke!!! These images were leaked from a dealer, was shared online by a model train dealer in NY!
@@jaystrains27 link?
Price will be crazy on this One 😅😅
The price is $2499.99 MSRP. Probably $2250.00 from dealers
WHY do these trains cost so much money when they're made in China! Us or them are making a fistful of cash!
I don't even want to hear the Outrageous Price Lionel is gonna Charge for this.
Too $$$$$ for me, but a great locomotive that was a failure un real life, but great model RR piece, the green boiler on the Denver model looks real nice
This is a really nice try plex and Pennsylvania had more then one try plex on the rails years ago.
I hope they don't use the whistle that was in the demo. it's the same sound set as whats in the 1218 VL.. Kind of disappointing
Lionel said the sounds are still in development as well, so the final product will probably sound different!
@@jaystrains27 I really hope so!! It will make or break if I get one. Thanks Jay!
Love legacy’s

And I own alot of Visionline Locomotives but this one will Cost the Most 😅😅😅😅
I like the model but I'm sure lionel will have a 🤡🌎 price tag on it.
Wow, another try plex , they just came out with a try plex last year
How on earth do people even afford stuff like that? I can barely get by with HO scale.
Oh my gosh 8000 for that
Actually $2,499.99 for the engines and $3,999.99 for the set. Good Lionel dealers should have a pretty good discount for order though!

Is this real? 🫤
Yes it is.
