He is so pure when he sings. So real. Just 💥 how he tells the story with the song. Just amazing. Singing telling the story more meaning. Intense. If only we still had concerts like this. What happened!!?? Why isn’t there anymore? Sucks. Was so awesome!
Once upon a time we traded/ shared all of Adam's music freely. This is an amazing alt, but some of the stuff he did with Round Here, Rain King, and Anna between 97 and 01 was beyond epic. I miss Napster. FY Metallica.
I had some amazing stuff from between August & Everything After and This Desert Life burnt to CD back in the day. I even printed up a kickarse CD liner with the art from Dave McKean's "The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish". Literally - GFYS Lars Ulrich.
one of the best versions of this song, still wish someone would post the version they did in san fran back in 99 with a cover of Fountain's of Wayne's "Radiation Vibe" in the middle
@@michaeldaniels8690 it is a live performance and a very effective and beautiful one. Studio is a whole different world, I give you that. Today they would make perfect with a.i. tough.
That’s for Michael. If he didn’t sing all their songs like this live, they wouldn’t be selling out shows 30 years later. It’s performance art that can elevate each song in each show. Their albums are great, but like all albums, they’re static and can become sterile after hearing them the exact same over and over and over and over and over again. Their songs continue to grow and live on. I’ve never understood people who to shows to hear bands play songs exactly like they were recorded on the album. What’s the point? Just stay home and listen to it again. But you’re preventing yourself from an actual experience that will only happen 1 time.

And the insert of Ryan Adam’s heartbreaking “come pick me up” is incredible.
I always get him confused with Bryan Adams. I know he has a great sense of humor when that happens
