Watching your and other builders' videos always makes the impression that it is so easy to come up with ideas. So, it's kind of reassuring to hear that even you suffer from a creative blockage once in a while. :) Whenever I don't know what to do with a build I just leave it and come back whenever I feel like it. This might even take months, because I don't feel like pressuring myself with a GAME that's supposed to be fun.
It’s a good idea that you decide to go back to modern mansions when you feel less inspired or more tired! 🤗 My passion is drawing but now as an “adult” I have less time and motivation for that. but I realized when I have those big downs, if I go back to drawing my confort things (usually Sailor Moon characters haha) the inspiration comes a little bit more naturally!… Anyway this build is super great! I like the shape of the part of the building you’re working on at 9:55! I think it could make a great apartment building, if you ever want to make one in a Victorian style 😊
Hi Kate! Thanks for sharing! I made my own Queen Anne inspired mansion in Newcrest. In the US a lot of these mansions are located in the South. I thought since Newcrest was inspired by New Orleans, Newcrest just fit. Research was by far my favorite part of that build.
Hey Kate. I love how you've done the sides in the exterior, I could imagine rooms built into the earth. When I get a block of any kind, I tend to put it down and do something completely different and unrelated. That can help free your thoughts and allow new ideas in. It may take an hour or days but it happens.
I really like seeing builds with older architecture styles like this. I've built so many modern mansions that they are almost boring at this point unfortunately.
This is amazing! I can`t imagine the time and the effort you have put into this building. And don`t be harsh to yourself. Sometimes you need a break. When I get a block I love to actually play the game. I have an occult legacy challenge going on, so that is a nice break. Or I go build tiny homes. I love those 🙂
I just build for fun. When I have a big build blockage I build something totally different on another lot and usually while building the second one I become more creative about how to solve my building problems with the first one. I just started watching. At 6min and 40sec you are using blocks around the walls. I know you mentioned what pack they are from, but I can`t remember and in debug, I guess I always overlook them. Can you tell me where they are from? Thanks!
Hi Kate, omg I so know builders block it sucks but. I freeze the process and leave it alone, building something else or even don't do it for a day or so. Popping in and our, still not finding the energy back. Sometimes I let it go for a long time om that build I had once so much inspiration for. Coming back much later cause my mind is in tune with my whole self try to work further oooor I completely delete it because I've a way better idea than before! 😂I have it now with a farm I started 2 months ago. I didn't touched it for 6 weeks. It just doesn't work yet. I build other things like a penthouse which had roofing and vide trouble, nightmare with uploading it. While I worked with pleasure on it.🤣 the 8th upload was the best! It's not easy sometimes ha! 🫂 ❤ love this hard work of this mansion! Thank you Kate!💜💚❤️💪🏼

Do you mean the tray files? I recommend using the Sims 4 Tray Importer!
