Nice. All of the used oils and hydraulic fluids I collect at home I catch as clean as possible in a catch can I keep sealed in double trash bags. When full, I pour the 15 qts into 5-qt oil jugs I save from new oil/fluid changes. I let the jugs sit for at least 90 days and then slowly pour off the top 4 quarts. The last quart has the settled solids or contamination in it. I mix 3 gal of the clean used oil with gasoline nearly 1:1 in 5 gallon fuel cans and shake for 1 minute, and put two 5-gallons cans into a 3/4 full tank of diesel. My 2005 Ram diesel has a 40 gallon tank. This makes a mix of about 15% used oils. It seems to run fine Winter and Summer. I do change my fuel filter a little sooner than typical, about every 10,000 miles, rather than 15,000. The dirty oil left in each jug i combine again and let settle another 90 days and repeat. The 2nd time I pour off the top and use the remainder as chain-lube and make two-cycle fuel for my chainsaw, and some start my wood boiler at night. It's a cheap and easy way to get rid of collected fluids, have a little free fuel, and not waste anything either. Peace
heck ya man you inspired me to get into this, really appreciate you going out and showing us how to do it ourselves. screw the haters keep up the awesome work!
I was going to make a oil burning stove for a garage but, my girl at that time wanted a new laundry room. After building a 20x20 room & a new roof on the entire house, she decided to throw in the towel & that was the end! Keep on keeping on, watch out for the patent office!
And for those that are using this method for homemade diesel fuel for their diesel heater, 1 gallon of gas per 2 gallons of used motor oil will make a Webasto diesel heater or a Chinese diesel heater run amazing
If you want to pay for it and get the negative effects of ethenol. If you don't want to use stale gas use fresh gas which is low % ethanol and cheaper.
I don’t think so. I would hate the overflow of work lol. I explained in the video that you have to make sure you have it clean and what system you’re using. It’s not perfect but it works well
@@calvinwright5040 I would think that to but you would think that they would find some way for it to be wrong due to them thinking dumb stuff with emissions and all
When I was making my own fuel like this I looked into testing. 1. Nobody I ever have talked to has had their tank dipped 2. Even if they did you are allowed to make your own fuel for personal use. As long as it isn’t red it shouldn’t be an issue.
If you look for places that sell used commercial cooking equipments - they might have the filter pumps used to pump used to pump cooking oil to filter fryer oil - You want the gear type pump - Use a small hose for w suction hose - I use a 3/8 ID suction hose and 3/4 discharge on mine - those pumps work good - I've used one to pump oil for 40 yrs
Use air impact would be so much more safer & efficient P.S. If you can't get an attachment to stir your brew with pnuematic impact drill machine it yourself!
This is fascinating. I'm curious if the time spent to do all of this start to finish is cheaper than it would have been to work to earn the money to buy the equivalent amount of fuel from the pump.
I would rather just pay the price for clean diesel, and put fuel additive to lube My 215hp P7100, injectors, and cylinder walls. I would rather the motor oil be recycled into new motor oil, that I give away for nothing, and now pay a damn fortune for. 😂
Used motor oil is sold as bunker C fuel oil after it's partly filtered - also marine diesel is generally 30% used motor oil or tar & 70% diesel - the EPA disposal of used oil is to burn it - I worked in the oil industry for yrs - We blended old oil and plastic into marine diesel lol
Mixing oil with gas by means of the electric drill is not a good idea. The drill produces sparks internally which ignite the gas vapor that comes out of the tank......BOOOOM 💥
Nice.

hi i chock my IBC tank so it leans to the tap bottom this allows the sludge to settle at that end easier to clean rather than sit on the whole bottom
heck ya man you inspired me to get into this, really appreciate you going out and showing us how to do it ourselves. screw the haters keep up the awesome work!
Some truckers pour the used engine oil from when they do oil changes right into their diesel fuel tanks.
Smartest man on RUclips right here. Brilliant!
Appreciate that

Awesome video, and thank you for sharing this.
Times like these I remember how lucky I am to have a sawdust plant next to my shop.
I always enjoy your black diesel videos. Best wishes from germany
Could you use ethanol instead of stale gas?
If you want to pay for it and get the negative effects of ethenol. If you don't want to use stale gas use fresh gas which is low % ethanol and cheaper.
Ethanol is bad for fuel systems designed to run on petroleum fuels
*_Fuel injector and pump rework shops love him!_*

Wondering if you work at the junk yard or if they give old oil for free? Possibly at recycling areas?
I have a friend that owns a junkyard
If you ask restaurants if you can take their used fryer oil they'll usually give it to you for free cause otherwise they pay disposal companies
I work at an auto parts store. I can get as much oil as I want.
Would this work on a 1997 f250 7.3 power stroke? I’ve been making my own diesel for my 7.3 Idi but always wondered if my power stroke would take it?
It does but it don’t like it
What is the brand of that tiny pump?
What is the thread count on the sheet?
Like 100. I think it’s maybe 200
Who knew diesel fuel had a vintage date like a fine wine?
🤔😳😜
What would it take to alter a small Diesel engine on a generator
So what do you do if they dip your tank with this stuff, I just can’t see them passing it off
I here is ok because the gas and motor oil is both taxed
@@calvinwright5040 I would think that to but you would think that they would find some way for it to be wrong due to them thinking dumb stuff with emissions and all
I explained it in other videos
It's not red!!
When I was making my own fuel like this I looked into testing.
1. Nobody I ever have talked to has had their tank dipped
2. Even if they did you are allowed to make your own fuel for personal use. As long as it isn’t red it shouldn’t be an issue.
Where do you get the stale gas?
Junkyards homie
Does it have to be stale gas
Bro 😂if u asking its over
Does the sludge in the tote make good heating fuel for a wood stove?
If you want to use it for anything you'll have to boil it because most of it is water, but there is some burnable "fuel" in it.
What's the mix for your furnace 70 oil 30 gas
Country boy can survive!
So why do you have 2 pa bio diesel centrifuges?
I used to use them
Have you find any uses for the gunk you suck from the bottom? Like making dark concrete or so
4:43
I wonder if that would work in my fuel oil furnace?
My mix(used engine/compressor oil) outputs a lot of visible smoke. Any tips on how to reduce the whitish/blue smoke?
compression ratio of your engine is too low, lot of deposits in the engine is expected.
Where do you get stale gasoline?
Junkyards have totes of the shit or at least the one I worked did
any issues using used Full synthetic motor oil?
No
Save lots of money I used to own one and it wasn't cheap to run
Gasoline like diesel ore petrol carburaror fuel ??
Hi there. I was wondering what brand/model pump you use to transfer your oil. I can’t find a reliable pump that can handle thick fluids like oil
If you look for places that sell used commercial cooking equipments - they might have the filter pumps used to pump used to pump cooking oil to filter fryer oil -
You want the gear type pump -
Use a small hose for w suction hose - I use a 3/8 ID suction hose and 3/4 discharge on mine - those pumps work good - I've used one to pump oil for 40 yrs
Mix in some stale gas, let the pump push it through a remote oil filter or through a line and fuel filter. Faster and better filtering
Can u show a short process of u collect some oils
When is the video on how to replace fuel system?
What’s the thread count on the sheet
Only the finest Egyptian cotton for black diesel 😂
Use air impact would be so much more safer & efficient
P.S. If you can't get an attachment to stir your brew with pnuematic impact drill machine it yourself!
A brushless electric drill doesn't spark.
Man we needa not be posting these on tiktok.. Don’t blow up the spot and get this shit banned
Protect this giy
As long as the fuel has self lubricating capability for the diesel engine I don't see what the problem is :P
Am i the only one who saw a hand , in the oil tank at 2:45 ????
Glove?
This is fascinating. I'm curious if the time spent to do all of this start to finish is cheaper than it would have been to work to earn the money to buy the equivalent amount of fuel from the pump.
It’s cheaper it’s like 30 cents a gallon to make
$5.50 a gallon at 250 gallons with not much time invested seems better then working
Many just do thing just because they like messing with things - It might have nothing to do with cost or savings -
My cost is 45 cents a gallon so
Depends on how much you drive. For a work truck doing 20-30k miles a year it saves $10,000-$12,000 a year
Definitely need to filter better
This is more work than just having a job and buying the fuel lol. 😂 Great for shtf though
I would rather just pay the price for clean diesel, and put fuel additive to lube My 215hp P7100, injectors, and cylinder walls. I would rather the motor oil be recycled into new motor oil, that I give away for nothing, and now pay a damn fortune for. 😂

Use air impact drill no problem
Brushless drills don't produce sparks.
Very good point, everyone like this comment so the dude can see this
Yeah at my old job a drill got wet with isopropyl alcohol and catched on fire, but I blew it out quick thankfully...
It’s fine
So no centrifuge and 1 micron filter, dewatering stage. Put it through a 1 micron sock dude, see all the crap still in your fuel
Me contemplating running waste oil though my 2022 f350 platinum tremor. 🤔
Must be you can’t tell people you use a centrifuge. What people do to try and get views 🤦♂️
It’s faster and better to let it settle
holy shit, this only in America, worse polluting fuel you can't do i think
No. Do research before you accuse me of polluting
🤦♂️
It literally burns cleaner than normal diesel and red diesel
Thank you mate
hmmm electric tools with flamable liquids, what could go wrong....
It's stale gas so not enough fumes to light, and for oil or Diesel to ignite, you'll need a continuous flame, not sparks. Basic science, kiddo.
