Does anyone else absolutely LOVE the part of the melody here 0:26? It makes me feel so inspired. It's unfortunate Chopin didn't expand on this part of the melody but I think that was on purpose. In my opinion this piece is meant to feel lonely and make you feel like you're falling into a kind of sadness along with Chopin, as if he is telling you a sad story but instead of you just hearing the story, you're encapsulated in it and drawn to the emotions that come with.
I've always considered the Nocturne pieces as that, yeah - very sad and melancholic, with small bursts of happiness in them to make them that much more missed when they are lost. An internal struggle between happiness and joy, against sadness and despair. Or finding the bits of happiness in a dark and cold world. It's a rollercoaster ride for sure lol

I don’t understand it. Your expressive playing is unmatched I believe and not to mention you have the virtuosity to perform The moment mauxiaus no.4 at its intended speed and aggression.

This brought me to tears. The good kind. The interpretation and speed are masterful, and I think this slightly slower pace compared to other interpretations heightens the emotionality, and adds space where it was lacking. The composition by Chopin has a meditative, almost sacrosanct holiness to it not unlike Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, though the Sonata takes me skyward more towards an outer kind of space, whereas this Nocturne takes me inward, more towards inner space. when I her this I want to cry, but i can’t. because there is still hope in this melody. I think this is what Chopin wanted to tell us and you translated those emotions perfectly. Thank you very much.
Wow, I love this version! Rubato, tempo, everything works so well here
I loved the slowed down interpretation. I was teaching myself this song awhile back but lost patience with learning the timing on those early runs.
강약조절하는거 너무 좋아요ㅜㅜㅜ화려한 연주도 좋지만 느리고 감성적인게 더 제 취향인 것 같아요💓
I know it isnt a competition, but your pieces next to rosseau are a no-brainer which one of you plays with real passion and love for the music. You're absolutely incredible and the feel you have in every single piece blows me away. I have dabbled in this one and you motivate me to be better. Thank you so much.
@@Syzygizing you're right. I didn't mean to imply passion vs no passion, just Kassia's playing is so beautiful. I dont find Rousseau to have the same feeling behind it. I believe Rousseau uses multiple pianists and each performance is different(?). Kassia just seems a step ahead of the other visual style players on youtube.
@@Syzygizing I do=)
The rhythm is actually insane
Incredibly well done. I love your interpretation of this piece.
That’s a amazing interpretation!! So beautiful to watch and hear!!! I absolutely love it!!! You deserve way MOOOOOOOORE subscribe!!!
I have found that your interpretation is by far the best I have ever heard... Honest to god most pianists play this way too fast... Slow is best for this one, incredible job!
I love this speed too. I'm working on trying to get my expression closer to this
I love this piece; it’s very challenging, but I’m determined to learn it. I’m ver determined to learn this piece, and I’m so so grateful for this person playing it on the keyboard, so I can the fingering right; I am getting tips from online teachers I have subscribed to
I learned this piece for my final high school piano performance and people in the audience were crying by the end. Chopin was such an astounding composer
It’s so outrageously beautiful that I don’t have any other words to describe it!!
If Chopin would have been alive for just a little longer what kind of music could have been added to this beautiful genre
I learned this piece in memory of one of my crush, this is one of my principal and favorite pieces, the one I play very well every time I play it, and that calms people listening around me.
This is the first piece I played entirely, correctly, and emotionally.
Very good interpretation girl ^^
(hit me if you're a boy btw)
I'm learning it in memory of my crush :'(
wtf
How the hell is this your first serious piece that you played entirely? There's this mad polyrhythm at the beginning (maybe it's just me who struggling with polyrhythms, but that's unlikely because you literally need to practiy the skill of entirely separating your hands)
@@MatanVngsh agreed.. Then again, we don't know, maybe this person practiced so much that they were able to pull this off? (although I doubt it)

Thanks for this. This nocturne is insanely fun to play. I’ve got it so close. Gonna go through this tutorial to memorize when it’s quiet and when to get loud, which you absolutely nailed in this performance. It’s really hard to play the left hand of the middle section quietly.
I love this piece, I discovered Chopin with this piece and started playing piano for it. I love your piano interpretations, too, they're played really well: I listen to you when I've to study. Sorry for my lousy English but I'm from Italy, and in my country English teaching is really really messed up to say the least. Keep it Up!
Magical. So sad and relaxed. It is so basic, but you make it better than all this playing! Gretings from germany!
Thank you, Jano! I confirmed this comment now.:)💕
We need musicians like you.
beautiful.... shifting of key often... that dissonanse F > E is amazing
I have just started learning the piano at 40. Can't wait to get to Chopin!
Hell yeah
My heart❤ melted. 😌. Feel so relaxed. Chopin was a great pianist. Never going to forget him... Your hands are so sweet. I loved the way you played... I feel so relexed I was so in stress. Now I m cool after listening this . Thank you🌹❤🙏
Have a lovely life. God bless you. Thank you so much.
I don’t understand it. Most pianists are good with one thing in particular (day: Rubinstein and Chopin, or Gould and Bach), but somehow everything you play convinced me that that interpretation has to be perfect. Your expressive playing is unmatched I believe and not to mention you have the virtuosity to perform The moment mauxiaus no.4 at its intended speed and aggression.
Beautiful piece of music by Chopin. Classical music just hits different
Music is magical, you can express your feelings, you can make people feel in the way you want, you can tell your story with music. You can make people feel your pain, joy and any other... You can refill your soul and get rid of depression, stress. You can drink a cup of hot chocolate and listen to music while watching snowflakes falling down...
You can enjoy your final weeks of life, maybe days or even hours with music. You can understand death is not an ending. It's just an ending of a chapter and a starting point of another. Music is this, what makes you powerful, the thing that lets you to understand the life. Music is necessary. You can't live without it. That's the meaning of life...
Que música mais linda. E pensar que a maioria da população não tem a sensibilidade para gostar deste tipo de música.
Your touch is fantastic! Wonderful performance!
the right hand octaves section is so beatiful... i really love the op 9
I envy your skillssss. Love the interpretation btw👍
this piece sounds like a spirit is gently whispering into your ears. Beautiful!
0:14 my favorite part
Made me sway from left to right all the way, I think you really captured the magic of this piece, beautiful! Props
0:27 - 0:42 is so beautiful!!!
@Julius Vino this guy got it
@Julius Vino yeah *EVERYTHING is beautiful*
I love your icon ❤️
So effortless. I like that I can see the hands too. If I could learn music like this when I was a kid I think I would have stuck with it. But now 20 years later I am relearning to play. I Just want to play for my moma again. I think it made her happy way back when, and thanks for your vids I will play for her ones more.

Chopin is the GOAT, but you are a true artist yourself Kassia... GREAT performance!
That sounds great!
Beautiful interpretation. The slower pace, and your light touch made the piece. Bravo!

Literally one of the reason I bought a piano. I loved the music in that show
you are beautiful the way you play is just so meaningful, you put so much of yourself and even you don’t realize it every note you play feels and means something
I'm going to learn how to play this piece! Gods, the key signature must be a nightmare-but you expressed the piece so beautifully! You got another sub, Kassia :)
Yoo how’s it going? The key signature isn’t that hard, but if you’ve already started then you should be fine
@@gracie7534 wow never expected a reply 😮but thanks for asking! it’s going quite well, i’ve finished the first section and i’m practicing the second one right now. it’s not too bad, but i do also have to focus on the abrsm theory exam sooooo i don’t have too much time for this piece anymore :(
@@strawberrymilk9302 Aw, I hope you finish the piece and have fun playing it!
Hello, I would like start to learning it and i have a question for you?
Do the arpeggios with the left hand repeat themself a little, for example every 8 bars (only for example) or they change with no arithmetic logic?
Thank you
How's it going? I started learning it two days ago , btw :)
I don’t know why this reminds me that state of happiness is just a fleeting moment and that makes me sad yet my heart is full of hope and love
I believe that indeed happiness is momentary in this earth but I'm certain that there is an afterlife and if our heart is full of hope and love our next existence will be a never ending and maybe increasing state of peace and happinness in the company of the Creator of all things. Godspeed.
Both are good, both are necessary.
One of the best ones I’ve heard!
This nocturne is so relaxing,i love it.
My daughter just struggled the 3,4,5 bars in past 2 weeks and survived . . Believe she will get it done soon
