Very informative and beautiful video. I have been to Babadag many times, mostly in October. It's nice to see another pilot's impressions. And then so well prepared.
I was also there in May and found the thermals more rewarding. I didn't manage more than 2750m. Anyway, every flight there is an experience.
Thank you and greetings from Germany.

this year i managed to reach around 2985m. You have often the best climb in the east from the starting place at 1900m. In the valley between the start at 1900m and the next hill in the east.
And of course.. a lot of luck.
Wtih this altitude we thought about flying to fethiye, but our flight home was the same day and maybe even with that altidute it wasn't possible (??)

      Hi Bill
Take the igc and turn it into a klm. The latter file is used by Google Earth so import into that and look at the track log. Produce an angle you are happy with it and take a still.
The still is used in whatever software you use for video editing; I use Da Vinci Resolve.
Once in your video editor annotations and animations can be added to point out specific areas or information.
      Hope that helps.

Very nice! I will also be there in October hope there’s still thermals by then. Which way does the 1700 launch face?

@Sandra In The Sky It is definitely still thermic in October so you will not be disappointed.
I will be there from today and again a little later in October for the air games.
      Have a great trip!

@@Frank274 Well I gave it a few tries again last October and only got a few meters above 1700 hehe. Then I was back in Turkiye in April/May but got ill so couldn't fly. Now going back in a couple of weeks so here's hoping! I am taking two wings this time, XC & acro...well sorta & sorta ;)
      Great video BTW!
