In China's history, only men sang in operas. Women were not allowed to perform. Whatever you choose for a Dimash reaction will be great. I would like to suggest a few songs from when he first appeared on "The Singer 2017." That show is where he gained world prominence. He was only 22 and the first foreigner and the youngest to perform in the history of the show. Adagio, All By Myself, Unforgettable Day, and The Show Must Go On are my favorites. The concubine is before the Emperor (Dimash) for treason. She is to be put to death. She reminds the Emperor of the wonderful time that they had together when drunk. He says to her that he wishes that they could have one more drunken time together before she is put to death. In between is 'Diva Dance' from 'The 5th Element'. This is one of my very favorite duets of Dimash. This is like no other duet in the world and it is epic! Every time that I play this video I like it more than the last time. :)

I have to say that I learned about so many artists and instruments around the world through Dimash. Another amazing duet is with Tengri “Swan Goose”. You will also hear the Mongolian throat singing (not by Dimash, but he can probably do it too 😂) there.

This was such a fun surprise. My favorite "Dimash Diva Dance" On live stream I mentioned Jackie Chan's movie Vanguard. I was confused. Vanguard is the movie that Dimash sings the last song in. "Be Happy" in mandarin. Very interesting fast beat but not my favorite Dimash song. I have no idea if Dimash sang a new song for the Americain release of Jackie' s movie "Ride On" October/2023 or if it was for the March/2024 release of Kung Fu Panda 4 My best guess is Kung Fu Panda-4. While millions of women remain hopeful, he will likely settle down with a young Kazak gal when he has time. In this song his high whistle note is a G7. Li YungGan is an artist that performs in a traditional type of Chinese theater where the men play all the roles, including the women's roles much like in the Shakespeare's time. A reactor who is a vocal coach said that Dimash's movements while singing are not just stage craft. He said that the way the body moves influences air flow up through the throat, mouth, head. Dimash did an interview while he talked about how important it was for him to understand the science,/mechanics of singing. That knowledge plus daily voice practice allows him to use so many so many tones and octives. I watch a lot of Dimash reactions and I akways say that yes, he was born with talent but he has also studied music composition, multiple genres of singing, performance and stage craft. He swims every day to maintain breath capacity and dies vocal training up to 3hours each day. He is marvelous but that came through more than 20 years of training and education. He worked for it and continues to train.
I love this duet! Two amazing singers! Dimash said himself that he Almost reached the red belt. He came to a point where he had to choose where he was going to spend his time. Also, he was having health problems.

Mr Li Yugang is a professionally trained Chinese opera singer. He specialises in 'nan dan' ....male performing female roles in traditional Chinese operas. He also performs contemporary songs. Li Yugang is no stranger to performing on large stages and in huge stadiums in China. It's not easy to be a professional traditional Chinese opera singer......you need to go to more than a minimum of 8 years of stringent training to qualify for a lead role as it's not easy.....facial, eyes movements, hands, body, vocals, etc......all must be trained. But of course......Dimash's vocals are fuller, more powerful and better controlled.....even his highest notes are fuller , more stable, better controlled. He's DIMASH....afterall.
There is a very old traditional way of singing and performing in Beijing/China (like operas but with a whole other tune/technique to it). All the parts in these performances were done by males. Li Yugang is a master of this specific technique. And YES - Dimash always tone it down when he does duets, to not over power the other singer (he's as humble as humble gets... ). But he couldn't help but to throw in a very high whistle note in the beginning of the Diva Dance part. Hope you didn't miss that (I think this is in the 7:th octave) 😁😁😅😅👏👏 SOOOO enjoying myself following you guys down the rabbit hole of whom me (and many, many others in "the industry" (vocalcoatches, singers, producers etc)) holds as The GOAT.... Li wants to help young artists like Dimash said on Worlds Greatest singer. I began to watch Chinese opera and study it a bit. Dimash does that. Opens people's minds to differing genres.

What is most amazing about Li is that he couldn’t study in the university or conservatory of music, he is absolutely autodidact which is so admirable!! 👌👍💥 ❤️🎤🔝 One of the things a I love the most of Dimash is his versatility and his ability to show us different cultures through the music. In this case with Li Yugang, they have made a perfect match with the traditional Peking Opera style, beautiful 🌟

On live stream I mentioned Jackie Chan's movie Vanguard. I was confused. Vanguard is the movie that Dimash sings the last song in. "Be Happy" in mandarin.

Li YungGan is an artist that performs in a traditional type of Chinese theater where the men play all the roles, including the women's roles much like in the Shakespeare's time.
A reactor who is a vocal coach said that Dimash's movements while singing are not just stage craft. He said that the way the body moves influences air flow up through the throat, mouth, head. Dimash did an interview while he talked about how important it was for him to understand the science,/mechanics of singing. That knowledge plus daily voice practice allows him to use so many so many tones and octives. I watch a lot of Dimash reactions and I akways say that yes, he was born with talent but he has also studied music composition, multiple genres of singing, performance and stage craft. He swims every day to maintain breath capacity and dies vocal training up to 3hours each day. He is marvelous but that came through more than 20 years of training and education. He worked for it and continues to train.

Mr Li Yugang is a professionally trained Chinese opera singer. He specialises in 'nan dan' ....male performing female roles in traditional Chinese operas. He also performs contemporary songs. Li Yugang is no stranger to performing on large stages and in huge stadiums in China. It's not easy to be a professional traditional Chinese opera singer......you need to go to more than a minimum of 8 years of stringent training to qualify for a lead role as it's not easy.....facial, eyes movements, hands, body, vocals, etc......all must be trained. But of course......Dimash's vocals are fuller, more powerful and better controlled.....even his highest notes are fuller , more stable, better controlled. He's DIMASH....afterall.

There is a very old traditional way of singing and performing in Beijing/China (like operas but with a whole other tune/technique to it). All the parts in these performances were done by males.
Li Yugang is a master of this specific technique.
And YES - Dimash always tone it down when he does duets, to not over power the other singer (he's as humble as humble gets... ). But he couldn't help but to throw in a very high whistle note in the beginning of the Diva Dance part. Hope you didn't miss that (I think this is in the 7:th octave) 😁😁😅😅👏👏

Li Yu Gang is a well known 40 yr old male singer in the Chinese Opera. Tradionally only men could sing in the operas so they would have to also play the female parts.

Li is like Simon Cowell in China. He used to have a TV show with many artists. Chinese opera did not allow women to be on stage. Li wants to help young artists like Dimash said on Worlds Greatest singer. I began to watch Chinese opera and study it a bit. Dimash does that. Opens people's minds to differing genres.
Li Yugang: Ancient Chinese tradition prevented women from performing for men at the Old Opera House in Beijing. From this tradition came a style called “Nan Dan” in which the man plays a female role in the Beijing Opera. One that was a restriction, today turned into culture and the greatest exponent of this culture in China is the singing and performer Li Yugang: Who created his own theatrical play (Who toured the world in 2015) and released several CDs (successfully of sales) he won 4 Denny award in Beijing.

Guys, I definitely suggest his other "Duet" performances, got variable genres and beautiful music \ vocals synergy in them with other performers.
Dimash represents the King and Lee yugang the Empress. Look at the thrones 😉( king and empress) and therfore the makeup, but in Chinese opera women are played by men.
Li is a performer in traditional Chinese opera, means no woman on stage. Honestly, I don`t like the sound in this style, but Dimash is really great.
Li Yugang sings different because he has the style of Chinese Opera. By the way, in Chinese Opera men sing the woman part. No women there, at least in ancient times. I guess this tradicion continues
The Chinese singer is an comedian, he does the women voice in his performance, but Dimash is way to good for any singer who sing with him as duet ❤❤❤❤❤❤
