Hey Kevin, This question is from The GMAT OG 2019 question number 684 The section underlined begins from 'has' and ends at 'forecasting'. Options A, as usual is part of the original sentence and is in inverted commas. I'm confused between D and E, the correct answer at the back is given as D but I had picked E because of the "allowed for" could you explain why it maybe incorrect in the case. Cost cutting and restructuring "has allowed the manufacturing company to lower it's projected losses for the second quarter, and they are forecasting" a profit before the end of the year. B) has allowed for the manufacturing company to lower it's projected losses in the second quarter and to forecast C) have allowed that the manufacturing can lower the projected losses for the second quarter, and to forecast D) have allowed the manufacturing company to lower it's projected second quarter losses and to forecast E) have allowed for the manufacturing company to lower the projected losses in the second quarter, as well as forecasting
