@mjcaboose666 It's basically just a metronome. It makes a 'click' noise on every beat. The drummer wears headphones, or an earpiece, and it clicks in his ear, and that way he knows to keep playing at a certain tempo, instead of speeding up and slowing down at random when you're just winging it. Which Trivium does a lot live.
@Leichim7 The riff he plays while he sings in the second half of the verses sounds so amazing live - even better than on the album. Ever since I saw their roadrunner records Shogun riffing of this song, I knew I had to play the shit out of this album

@kornslipknotfan5 They hear what it sounds like thru the soundboard so they can keep on time and not have to listen to the overly loud sound on stage in order to keep up with themselves.
this video reminds me alot of cliff em all hell there clothing looks the same down to the shoes they are wearing and plus the bass player is like cliff wandering to the drum set and shit! not that this is a bad thing trivium is amazing
I agree with you.Dont get me wrong I do like trivium alot I`ve been litsening to them since there fisrt album but I always get pissed at matt when he plays cause its like he cant actually do the things he does on the album and it sucks
First matt screws up his solo, sings like he's got asthma and goes off key so the backup sounds crap! If you can't do it live, don't put it on a cd! anybody can play a riff 30times and get it right once to record it...
