A always love these videos because the tabs are never online anywhere else! It's great finally getting to Learn these songs that I can't find anywhere!
nice Chris I don't even listen to bands like this and avenged sevenfold but I always watch you play at the beginning of the video because you play awesome.
Great lesson as always mate. Could you do a lesson for To End The Rapture by A7X? I know there is already a lot of their solos on your channel, but there is no good lesson for this solo on yt.
"A Greater Foundation Extended Version" As I Lay Dying. Please do a full cover of the song. Teach us how to play the whole thing please. Much appreciated. Thanks. =]
Hey man, you post a lot of awesome lessons on here and firstly I just wanna say thank you for all of your hard work and effort you put into this. SECONDLY- I lost my shit when I just now noticed this video and it was posted "TWO WEEKS" ago. Lol
Ace guitar lesson my dear good sir! Always a pleasure learning from you. If I may humbly request/ask, if you are ever planning on doing another Andy Mckee lesson, his piece Ebon Coast in particular? Your tutorial on Drifting is the only tutorial that has helped me get the entire song down. If you could do an Ebon Coast lesson series, it would be awesome :)
Whiplash by Metallica that's all i ask from you I think many people would love to hear that too I already wrote one poem but i hope now you see this I want to learn that solo from you Dear Chris.
First, I must say that I admire your lesson. I'm a beginner guitar player, so sometimes I can not play the solo just looking to tabs. Could you make a tutorial for the solo of "AGE OF REASON" by BLACK SABBATH. Thank you very much!!!
Hi Chris, I just want to say that I like your lessons, especially the a7x ones! Can you make a lesson on how to mute the string you doesn't play when you doesn't use a pick? :)
I watched at least 99% of your solo lessons and I didn't learn any :d You make them look so easy but when I try it's like: Nah, it's impossible, but I promised myself I'll learn Enter Sandman finally :D If I may ask, can You do "Doesn't Remind Me" by Audioslave? This has incredible solo, best from Morello IMO. Also from him there are songs like "Township Rebellion" "#1 Zero" or especially "Take the Power Back" which have very tricky but tasty soloing, so if You somehow run out of ideas and have a little time... :D Cheers!
Dude! Sweeeeet vid! Im gonna practice this until I perfect it. Hope you don't mind if I request something, but do you think you could do a tutorial on A Song For The Hopeless from this band???? That'd be sick.
You get lots of requests, but how about some Savatage? Hall of the Mountain King or Legions, preferably Legions because I am obsessed with that solo right now! Thank you sir! XD
Schnauze Man as a basic example, the convenience of open strings is probably the no. 1 reason for using diffetent tunings, no. 2 would be the convenience of transposing. For example, if I wanted to play in F minor or Ab major, I could just play chords and shapes in a more common key like B or Gm. Another reason, look at the intro riff for In the Name of God by Dream Theater. Open strings ringing out the whole time that wouldn't be possible without detuning strings or using a capo. TLDR different tunings open up different tonalities, chord shapes, etc.
Same. Rush has some good songs but that 2112 is a masterpiece in my opinion. If you ever end up writing something make sure somebody records you playing it and post in on youtube lol.
It took me about 2 months to develop the technique to actually play the whole solo and today I finished learning all the notes. Thank you.

Can you do The Wicked End by A7X?
i spy two fender mustangs under the desk. are they different wattage or different models? or is one just a backup?
i hate this tuning, so few bands use it. but this solo is simply beautiful, damn
I reckon more bands should try writing in C# standard, it's great fun.
but as an amateur in music theory i'm asking myself what's the fun difference between C# standard and any other deeper standard tuning

Anyone suggest anything with wah in it? Preferably fun and covered by Chris but anything will do tnx :)
