Instead of leaving a request I'm just going to leave a "thank you" for making this tutorial.

thanks man you know exactly how I feel haha
hi chris can u make a lesson of the last solo part of inocence faded :-) thanks!
This guitar solo is out of this world. I'm not even gonna start to try this one. Props to you for doing such a great job with it.
I feel the same. You should take a look at the song THE GLASS PRISON also from Dream theater. Is way more difficult
Respect to anyone who can play this. It’s the picking. Gotta get your alternate picking and string crossing DOWN. Sextuplets at 130bpm is tough. But Technical Difficulties is also faster at 135bpm.
"For those who understand, I can't play this man."
yeah me too. I'll just go back to Deep Purples' smoke on the water.
"Not under your command, I cry at my picking hand."

Man, this dude has any solo I am looking for. I am just hitting like to all of them showing you how much I appreciate you take the time to do this for us.
Thanks man. Feel free to make a request!
@@chriszoupa7898 If you could do Sea of lies by Symphony X that'd be awesome!
Straight after you did the performance and did the giant sigh was just the funniest thing ever man hahah great lesson!
I think Chris should sell his fingernail clippings as guitar picks. Hell I'd buy a pack.
Chris’ sigh of pain after playing the solo at the start always gets me hahaha ❤️ Finally starting this monster
holy crap! its great to see some dream theater, it really is some intense stuff. youre awesome dude! not really even gonna atempt it but thanks for the tutorial anyway :D
c'mon an attempt costs nothing! Hell u may end up playing it!
haha that was out of this Earth Chris!
thought that said Earth Crisis lol.. Great band.
Chris you are the best guitar teacher i've ever seen. Thanks for all this vids and your effort.
you really deserve a like for this one
James Hetfield can downpick this solo.
Hope you're kidding
ofc he is.
As long as John Petrucci is helping with the neck.
Kirk Hammet can play this solo only if the wah pedal is in the room or on the stage !
I realize I'm kind of off topic but does anyone know a good website to stream new movies online ?
Nice lesson!
Fyi for others with 22 fret guitars, you can totally just play it in standard, all positions will be 4 frets back and played in F position.
Never saw someone explain it that much explicit and clear. You rock man, serious monk work there. This is serious "shit" demystified now haha
I starting learning this solo because myself and a few friends are going to cover this tune. The solo, WOW man, you nail it and show everything I need to know to learn it. Thank YOU for taking the time to share this with us guitar nuts. This will take me a month of hard work to get even remotely close.
This solo sounds like Petrucci is doing a tribute to Paul Gilbert and Zakk Wylde.
Holyyy facxxx
Honestly, im impressed you even taught the lesson. I think I would have set down the guitar and retired after the sigh of relief. Very nice man
well... gonna try it... wish me luck. Thanks for the video Chris!
Damn thats fast!!! F*****g well played Chris!
Thank you for your effort in making this video You're an angel
Behold the most epic and hardest solo of all time, who shall come forth and challe......
Chris: Here hold my pick
Pre fatherhood Chris could lock himself in a room and shred uninterrupted for hours. Good times
You playing that solo was euphoria to my eyes and ears. Maybe one day I'll actually learn the solo but until then I'm going to keep re-watching you play the solo for a couple hours
Awesome Finally!, Thank you so much and a big round of applause to Chris for making a lesson of this solo. I've been trying to play this by ear for years but I can't seem to decipher the several "wankfest moments" by JP. Also there's no accurate "solo" tab anywhere on Ultimate Guitar and all tab sites. I did not know it's in C tuning. I play this on standard, so I'm shock when I saw the tuning at the beginning. Now All I need is to "Clean and correct" all the inaccurate parts I've made through the years.. Also I'd like to commend you for NOW including some tabs on the video. Keep it up Chris. Your the best "note for note" teacher on RUclips......how long did you learn this?
I hope some day you will make a tutorial of the hardest and most insane solo by Dream Theater: -> BLIND FAITH UNISON..:)
Respect!! John is a guitar god 🙂
The best cover i have ever seen on RUclips
Still the best shredder on youtube. Great stuff, man!
I don't know who would request this solo but kudos to them
Still amazed to see all this patience to demonstrate so long solos! Nice work, Chris!
wow great cover and lesson chris
Wow! A lesson for a solo I can already play! My life is complete
I don't care what you think I'm proud of myself
Just incredible. You're an inspiration to all guitarists everywhere. Thank you.
Scary-ass solo dude. Still developing my alternate picking with simpler songs like Overture 1928 first, which you really helped me alot with. Thanks once again Chris! You helped me conquer the fear of learning DT songs xD
Congratulations my friend, thanks 👌🏼
Hey chris wanted to drop by and say thanks for this lesson! Bought the official book of train of thought many years ago and it looked impossible the way it had it transcribed! You made it possible! Thanks again man rock on!!!
Hi Chris, take the time pleaseeee 😁 hugs from Italy love You
Thank you so much for covering this song. You're amazing. Seriously. God bless you.
Is that guitar a signature model?? And if it's not you deserve to have one!! ;)
Omg Chris, I thought you were kidding when you announced this one... Awesome! You saved my life, the middle section particularly hurts haha
The solo was done to perfection. Thanks man.
hey Chris I've been watching your videos for awhile now and just wanted to say I always appreciate your sense of humor and teaching style. thanks so much for creating awesome lessons I really enjoy them!
Dear Mr Zoupa. Great thanks. Im Trying to play this.
jesus christ, that was bananas! awesome dude, thank you so much for doing this whole series!
You should have seen my face when this showed up in my sub box. Thanks once again Chris for the ace lesson!
Jesus! Well played sir
The alternate picking on the chromatic section is my brick wall. It's simply insane.
Well done chris you are a great human
Awesome, thanks to share it!
Congrats Chris for your engagement
Well done Chris! and a big THANKS. . .I was waiting for that solo for a while :D
Your tutorials are incredible. Not gonna even attempt this one
Really big thank you man, I came across your videos a while back when I wanted to do a cover of Shepherd of Fire and your video was so clear on explaining everything I ended up learning it within a day and have watched your videos since on songs I want to learn. I've really been interested in learning Dream Theater songs and I watched this video as soon as I saw it pop up on my feed. If you ever consider doing another Dream Theater song, could you do Constant Motion? I trust you would be able to pull it off no doubt and would love to learn it. Thank you again for all the videos you post! Keep killing it
That was awesome!
Hey Chris!!really thank you so much for this song, I actually asked you to get it done for us...i always wanted to play this solo..I could never get a good tab..but now we got your toturiol!!Thank you so much Bro!!!
Ep180! wow, Thanks Chris for yet another amazing+stunning lesson :)
out of the 40,000 that watched this, maybe 4 had the ability to play it😂, great job Chris
Awesome lesson ! Thank you, no request. :P
I've said it before, but it's worth saying again. Great teacher and guitarist! Thanks for all the great lessons Chris :)
Oh, and this solo is way beyond my skill level, but was fun to watch :P
amazing solo.
Great cover,Chris!
Thanks Chris, if you can play that i bet you could shred jeff loomis... really nice work on all levels..thank you so much mate , those cat vids are scary
Let's give it a try, probably the first 10 notes :-). Thanks a lot Chris for all those amazing tutorials ! Last one I tried was Foreclosure of a dream by Megadeth, thanks to you I was able to play it quit ok !!
gr8 job Chris , this is an extremly difficult solo and you did an amazing job :)
Thank you!
started this today... see you 1 year lol
hopefully that's making sense
Its been 9 monthes you nearly got it?
How's it coming bro? lol.
How it's going?
So... Are you alive there?
maaaaan i got too excited and played the whole thing! xD i love your videos keep wrecking dem solos!! :D
Awesome solo! Thanks!
hey buddy, thank you for putting this up,. However, on the F-G#-A# sweep it is actually 6 notes not 5. If you listen closely super slow it goes Fup-G#up-A#up-A#dn-G#dn-Fdn-Fup-G#up-A#up . This pattern makes the sweeping easier actually as you can smoothly rake the pick across the outside of the strings on the ends of the sweep pattern.
Masterful!
Cheers Chris for making this lesson. Could you possibly make a lesson on Glass Prison? that would be awesome. Thanks for all current lesson that you've done.
Congratulations on your engagement!
Thanks a lot for this tutorial, it really helps me to improve my guitar playing. :)
Dude that was great! I've just recently been really getting into Dream Theater and this is one of my favorites by them! you should do some more Dream Theater or some Exodus
Best pick ever
God damn you break these solos down so well. Makes them seem easy hahaha
holy sht chris your awesome
You are a GOD at guitar, thanks man! I'll never learn this but god damn I tried.
thank you my friend you are amazing
That was terrifying and I love it Thanks Chris you're the man! :D
thank u chris! this helped me a lot
hey man great lesson it blows my mind how you learn this kind of stuff so perfectly , I wanted to make a request for the solo for cattle decapitations manufactured extinct it's a great solo, thanks
For section 4 i think 17,19,22 and 17,19,23 are played 4 times instead of 3. Could just be me but whenever i play along with the solo I get to 17,19,24 way to fast but again it could be me. Thanks for the lesson your awesome as always.
really thanks !!!
Amazing, you're the man!
Chris, I love your solo lessons! Please could you do a lesson for Five Finger Death Punch's "Remember Everything" solo?
you are genius
Great stuff bro, I stopped watching around the part where you mentioned needing a 24 fret guitar, but still great stuff xD
8:12 took me the longest time to get up to speed
Thanks a lot !
Those who don't have a 24 fret guitar, play it in standard tuning (instead of c standard). You'll be able to play and learn the entire solo. Although in a slightly different position.
Thankyou
I love how some comments start with saying thank you, but inevitably end in a request. I think this solo is too hard to attempt, maybe better to just listen to in awe :P
great!
Thanks for the insane solo Chris! You should go for My Last Words by Megadeth if possible. Btw congratulations on getting married!
Does he play without pick?, only nail-pick.... awesome!
dude that was a-we-so-me! you can feel how intense this solo is, even for a player like you! big congrats, I am nowhere near this level yet! my point is that for someone who is at that level and wants to play solos like these, a note-to-note breakdown is probably a bit too much? I mean, a couple of friends of mine who play this thing, after years of playing at this high level (they are session musicians), thay can figure out these solos by ear, or they have a quick look at a tab or smth like that and they're there! immediately. it's impressive! I mean, besides a perfect solo, this is also a combination of really good exercises for both hands, so I guess the breakdown is worth it. It's just that I find it hard to believe that someone at a beginner or intermediate level tries to play this, even after having such a detailed analysis in his disposal, but anyway, thank you for doing this, it's entertaining just to watch the whole thing even if I can't play it! you are extremely talented man!
Goddamn chris. My respect to you sr!
That is awesome
Still trying to catch my breath after watching you playing this
That was amazing! :)
that's great, respect!
Thank you man!!!
