- Together with Frank Verburg I go on an epic Photography Adventure above the Arctic Circle to Senja, Norway. We face the full force of Polar weather conditions as we try to capture majestic snow capped mountains, rumbling waves of the sea and the elusive green glow of the Northern Lights under a starlit Nordic landscape. As always, not everything goes as planned...

Now that was awesome! It was surreal to see the landscape in green, like the WB was off :D and great images of course.
Thanks Matej! It was truelly a bizarre experience... as you might have noticed in my reactions 😄
Awesome work and love the moody shots plus the Northern Light .. ❤😮
Thanks Virat! It was a great adventure, despite (or maybe thanks to?) the challenging weather.
Possibly my favourite of your series. Loved your excitement!
Ahh, thanks Andy. That's great to hear! :D. Have to admit I have never been this excited before also haha.
Love the image at 6:33
Thanks Alyn! There is however no image at 6:33, except for my head in the frame? 😄 edit: ah, you probably meant 16:33 haha. My favorite also!
No I was actually referencing your head with the forest backdrop, amazing haha @@StarScaperPhoto Yeah 16:33. Man I need to go back to Senja!
@AlynWallace I can totally relate. Headshots with trees in the background are killer 😄. Recently rewatched your Senja vlogs. Really enjoyed those. Looks like proper adventure also, what an experience you had 😎.
Nice that you got to see it live and dancing. very cool vlog (again) always enjoying it.
We've been hunting it for 7 times now and we remain mesmerised and flabbergasted when seeing it.
It is the most beautifull and mysterious thing we've ever seen.
Thank you Rob! And I can totally understand that you're still mesmerized after 7 times. I predict this also wasn't my last time...
Wow just wow 😍😍😍 so happy for you guys 😎
Thanks so much Joshua!
What a great adventure we had man! I'm reliving it all over again 🎉
Great to hear dude! Already watched it about 15 times for the exact same reason. That drone crash maybe 30 times. Thoroughly enjoyed our adventure!
Incredible images! And awesome adventure. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for letting me know! 👍
Yas! So happy the Aurora came out for you! Definitely have hunted enough for it! 🎉🎉
Thanks so much Andrew! I was so enthusiastoc I hardly knew anymkre what I was saying to the camera. I kind of had to cut some parts out 😅
@@StarScaperPhoto aurora adrenaline is something else 😂😂
@@scotlandsnightsky haha, true that.
Such an epic adventure Jeroen and amazing photos and videos from the both of you. Must say, quite jealous.
Thanks Koen!
Spectacular shots! Glad you guys got what you came for.
Thanks man!
Wow, wow, wow - so spectacular and so happy the 4th night made the trip worthwhile 🙌. Also enjoyed seeing you engage your inner Thomas Heaton going for the moody landscape shots in the snowy conditions.
Thanks again Greg! That fourth night really was the last thing missing, what an experience! I used to do landscape photography all the time before I got into astro. Was fun to play around in the daylight again also 😀. And yes, Thomas Heaton has been an inspiration from the beginning. Still watch his every video.
@@StarScaperPhoto Agree, Thomas Heaton is an inspiration for me too
Wat een mooi avontuur!!
Dankjewel man!
Amazing Vlog Jeroen...! What an adventure and what a massive Aurora...:D
Thanks Benjamin! Also for watching again, really appreciate it. It was a great experience!
Absolutely chuffed that it kicked off for you, even though you had to wait! Beautiful images and great video of the adventure. Loved it. Hope you’ve got your voice back. 👌
Thanks so much for watching and commenting again Paul! We were so psyched it kicked off eventually after so much bad (although arctic) weather. My voice is getting there again, thanks 😅. Hope you will have some great shows too soon (and hopefully for us some nice videos also ;-)).
Geweldig avontuur!!
Dankjewel Marcel! Dat maakte het inderdaad helemaal af. Heerlijk!
I just love your vlog adventures. Always a nice highlight when i see that you have posted a new video.
Thanks again and i am glad you got the shot 👌🏻
Thank you! Great to hear! 😃. Hoping for a next adventure soon. Mostly clouds lately. How's that at your location?
@@StarScaperPhoto I live in the south east Norway ( close to the Swedish border ) i have enough clouds to share with everyone who wants it 😅
I hope to get a few clear nights soon so i can get to know my MSM Nomad and try to get better 🤞🏻
I will go after 12p Pons Brooks as soon as the clouds go away.
@@Roysivertsen haha, we all.got enough clouds to exchange I guess. Hope you will get to shoot the comet soon! Hearing that the Nomad is pretty good.
Awesome results. Would be wonderful to be there
Thank you!
Prachtige beelden Jeroen!
;-). Thanks!
Beautiful! 👌
Thanks!
Great video :) Fun and intreseting to watch. Hope you will get clear skies next trip :)
Thanks for watching and letting.me know! 👌
Amazeballs pictures, I'm hoping to go to abisko to see the NL Christmas 2025
Thanks! If you have the opportunity I can only recommend it!
Great vlog Jeroen! Crazy Aurora on the last evening, beautiful. Also cool drone footage of Frank. Now I want to go back to Norway myself
Thanks Mark! I think Franks drone footage really adds to the story indeed. Can totally imagine you want to go back!
I enjoyed the whole vlog and I am also happy for you that you get such a nice aurora. In January on iceland I also struggled so hard with the clouds and the stormy weather.
Thanks Kevin! It was also a struggle for us, but we decided to just go and drive while it was even snowing. We lucked out by getting some gaps in the clouds which were much more than we hoped for!
Dankjewel man!
so exited to see the aurora you reverted back to dutch 🤣🤣 since i saw it last November i totally understand you enthusiasm.
Haha, thanks! I hardly had any idea what I was saying most of the time 😄
Prachtig avontuur man!
En mooi video verslag!
Dankjewel Raymond!
Great video🙌🏻
Glad you liked it!!
Another great video, sir! So glad you got to see the aurora and you have a really great mix of video and photos in this.
As an aside, super-clean vlog footage too - I might have to get in touch with you about what settings you're using with that A7s because it looks great ;-) All the best to you and looking forward to your next adventure 👍
Thank you so much! The night footage is always shot at iso 102000 and I crop in a bit to get rid of the amp glow. To clean up some noise I use neat noise reduction in post.
@@StarScaperPhoto many thanks! 🙂
Stupid composition?! That looks freaking awesome!! Wow! You two really nailed it last night! Your throat is good again?
Haha, even that 'stupid comp' eventually turned out kind of ok didn't it? 😉. Thanks man! Still recovering a little but from that throat thing. Even skipped a clear night yesterday because of it, but getting better fast now 💪.
Vet resultaat!
Thanks man! Na zeer twijfelachtige nachten toch nog... 😅
@@StarScaperPhoto ja kers op de taart!
I have a video on my channel, I filmed the glow in December, but the camera is very bad, old, hard to see
But still nice you were able to capture it with what you had! 👍
