I've thought these were a neat idea since the first wave, but haven't bought any before this year. I don't normally buy Star Wars figures unless I can fit them in with my GI Joes, or theyre really cool . However, nutcrackers have been a favorite of mine since preschool, and I have over 50 of them now. As soon as I saw the nutcracker Purge Trooper I pre-ordered him. He is a pain to pose, but looks so nice. The coloring of his Mouse Droid makes me think of a gingerbread house.
I agree with that these are fun repaints. I grab the ones I come across in the wild, so I only have about a third of the releases, but they all make me happy.
Wow I didn’t even connect the Hanukkah color connection. That’s subtle but very cool. My favorites this year are the Purge Trooper and the Snowtrooper. The Snowtrooper’s face had me cracking up when I was opening him! 😂 Great review Mike!
I simply can't figure out how you get the figures to pop out of the boxes like that. I've been trying with my own collection, and no matter how hard I strike them, all it does is mash the box. Hmmm.
Hello Mike thanks for sharing your thoughts on the newest black series holiday figures. I didn't collect the original holiday figures, but I did get the first Snow Trooper from a friend for Christmas that year. I held on to him for awhile and about a year ago I donated him to Justin from OOTB. I wanted the Santa Range Trooper but never got him. I ordered the Christmas Wookie figure last year. He's just an albino Wookie as far as I'm concerned. This year I picked up the Christmas KX Security Droid. He's just a different KX Security Droid. I also ordered the Christmas Ewok from BBTS, he was up for preorder there a couple of months ago, I think he's sold out now. I'm still waiting for him to come in. I personally only ordered the ones I want and I display them with my regular figures. Thanks for showing off all of these figures to us and I'm glad you enjoy collecting all of these holiday figures, I only like a few for myself. Note: The original Purge Trooper from GameStop was rereleased as a figure people could order, I got two of them myself. Thanks for putting this video together for us I appreciate it. I passed on all of Wave 1. From Wave 2 I like the Wookie and Gingerbread Trooper (still need) and I also have the protocol droid. I love all of this wave.
8:32 i actually found him in a random south GA Gamestop Black Friday weekend, got him as part of their b2g1 sale with a Daredevil and a Power Ranger😅 its the only Gamestop ive ever seen one in- but it is also available for preorder on Entertainment Earth right now btw. A couple of my Gamstops actually got the jawa one too, along with the scout trooper and protocol droid from last year🙃
