Monster variety is lacking alot compared to DD1 but id say its definitely one of the sequels of all time. the Post Game of DD2 is just as good id say as The Everfall in DD1, maybe the Everfall is better but idk, id have to go have another peruse through those halls (edit: Spelling)
Suck that post-game is limited within few in-game days. I wish I could play in post-game world longer. Also the lack of monster variety, I was hoping they added more monsters from DDO.
i know i’m late but from what I’ve heard, monsters will respond for 12 days in the unmoored world. You can stay there however long you want, but eventually there will be nothing left to do. The walls only move when you rest before taking out the four red pillars.
Yeah, if we don't count the enemies in the dlc of the first game, then it feels lacking. Hell hounds, cockatrice, hydra, metal golem, evil eye, and the senechal.
Bro why did the remove monsters? Like the Cockatrice for instance. That is so lame. But even the small enemies have low variety. Even when you reach Battahl, it's the same enemies but different skins or elements on them.
Cockatrice and Hydra, Metal Golems and elemental dragon variants, etc. Was really hoping for dlc enemies like Garm to be in the game too. Imagine exploring at night and three Garm run up on you? That would be terrifying!!
@zyfryth Panacea has always worked on it. Daimon could petrify in BBI and I ran out of Soft Droplets and Cockatrise Liquor, had to resort to Panacea during one of the fights with him on a Hard mode Bitterblack Challenge run. My Pawn kept walking into the spell and almost getting stoned.

I agree. I personally think isometric view games are unneeded now when we have 3D rendering. The reason the original diablo was isometric was because 3D graphics were in their infancy 25 years ago. One of the biggest reasons isometric view has persisted is that its cheaper to develop than third person. And who wants point and click, 2-dimensional combat when third person ARPGs like souls and DD1 and 2 exist. Don't get me wrong, I still play Diablo 4 and will play POE 2 when it comes out, but I will always prefer third person. There is a much higher skill ceiling when you have to worry about 3 dimensions.
impressed that this is the first game where asmon actually learns the ins and outs of his class instead of just sticking with two buttons the whole game
This game really dissappointed me with the enemy variety. Fighting the same damn enemies over and over for a game that could last 80 hours is so dumb. They removed so much content from dd1 yet bragged about this game having tons of new monsters. Nah theres like 4 most of them being one time appearances and already showed in all the trailers.
@@ThatTempesTGuy Elden Ring has over 150+ different enemy types, excluding Bosses and Variants of Soldiers (Different Weapons). How many different Enemies are in DD2? 30? 40?

You don't need a supercomputer. I'm on a AMD 5600X3D and 6950XT--total cost for the computer (less the case and monitor) was about $1000 and it runs fine with settings on high or max and running in ultrawide. it does dip to 40-50 FPS in the cities, but for the most part is well above 60 FPS when outside. Or just play it at 30FPS on console (used PS5s are around $400). If that is too much money, then obviously just wait. They will fix the bugs and eventually add DLC and put it on sale.
“You gotta remember I’m over 30 hours into the game I’ve explored almost all of it already” 😂😂😂. I’m 110 hours in and have only done 75% of the quests and still haven’t found all 50 locations, you have NOT done/explored even half the content 😂
I see people complaining about him "ending "the game in 40 hrs , guys ...did you know that every single open world game can be beat on 40 hours or less , if you rush the main story ...right ? LOOK at how black is his map lmao
True, I never can beat these games that fast but people do. Even faster even. I tend to be around average or even slower. If they have a "completionist estimation I'm usually in that range". I have to collect every shiny or Satan wins
Souls vets are jaded as heck at this point with ARPGs. I mean, Arrekz reviewer claimed he only died once in his entire playthough and that to gravity and finished in 20 hours. That is utterly ridiculous and won't be the experience for the vast majority of players IMO.
See, I think Asmon is crashing so much because he keeps several other programs and probably like 50 browser tabs open. That chugs vram and probably CPU usage too. And when was the last time he restarted the PC, I wonder? It all matters regardless of components.
they need to add a keybind that you hold to toggle walking, keyboards dont usually have analog input so you're relegated to either full speed running or not moving at all, and the weighty characters in this game dont handle sudden changes in momentum well at all
Kill a dragon, throw a pawn. Hello, I'm Arthur from Kill a dragon, throw a pawn iniciative. I'm here to inform you that: Do you know that pawns that kill a dragon think they are better than any arisen? Wanna put those pesky pawns under the belt? Throw them into the water! Don't let those guys think they are better than you. It's super easy! Just pick them up and plop! To the water, baby!
I guess. But the inability to reroll without using a metamorphosis, of which up until recently only two were available, is suspicious as heck. I wanted to reroll my character for like 10 hours, but I had wasted my ryft crystals on summoning pawns and it took a couple of days for my pawn to earn the 100 crystals i was short to buy metamorphosis. I know you find RC while playing, but the point I was at in the story, I just did not find any. I am 100% positive some exec at Capcom figured enough people would cave and buy the RC mtx that he could fund his new Ferrari.
@@Jaguar-s7f Of course. That’s the point of their MTX, is extra profit. But still you don’t need it at all. For literally nothing. Those things are sold as “dlc” and thanks to an international policy they couldn’t do a predatory “dlc package” where instead of buying those useless items singularly you would have to buy them in a package at a much higher combined cost. I don’t think people realize the state of the gaming industry, be prepared for what’s to come because capcom didn’t went really hard with it, and thanks to this new policy (I don’t know if it’s just in Europe but I think it works for Americans too) companies can’t sell these predatory packs where there’s a big shinny weapon and a bunch of useless stuff in a package and just because you want the 5 dollar weapon you end up buying the 15 dollar package because you can’t get the weapon without the package. COD did that a lot, they made billions out of it and yet capcom that didn’t orchestrated thousands of predatory packages is getting all of the heat… misinformed people do a lot of damage.
I really want to buy this because of it's gameplay but there's something missing about it something that is lacking, so I'll rather wait for a dlc, just like the first game has dark arisen.
Enemy variety and lack of challenge. Enemies can be spongy but aren't difficult so it just turns into mashing buttons instead of strategy. Even at night where it is supposed to be more difficult, you can just run around all willy nilly.
Honestly I kiiiinda feel the same lol 10/10 game so far but it really bugs me that some of the amazing bosses from the first game aren’t here. And no Bitterblack Isle enemies feels like the creature count is pretty lacking. I know it’s not fair to compare it to a game with an expansion out but…
its pretty much the same as dragons dogma 1 is without dlc, its great but there isnt like a real challenge after the lower levels besides the moored world if you didnt min max
all the cons are true about the game but this game makes you feel like an adventure its a great game wether you play it now or later. but i personally would say if the reviews are stopping you just try it for yourself,
@@AQS521That's been sort of my impression. Most challenging enemy I fought was the Sphinx, and she has a gimmick where you're actually just supposed to kill her with a specific arrow. It's honestly an amazing game, the combat feels so fluid but I wish most enemies were a bit more agile. Feels like I get to smack them multiple times before they decide to try to hit back. The rpg elements are amazing, the world is amazing, and I have few complaints. Also they should have some more challenging moments, such as two golems at a time or two chimeras at a time, something like that.
I never heard of pawns going crazy. One time I came out of a cave and a pawn screamed “hold on master I’m coming!” Like I was about to die but I was at full health and not a single monster around. She then started to talk a lot and become real annoying so I yeeted her into the brine.
There arent any bloody knuckle rings but the base moveset is quite powerful if you swap to warrior around level 50 with no strength buffs youll be doing something like 350+ damage before buffs, stacking the strength augment and two strength rings will put you over 400 damage but i prefer to go for knockdown power personslly since the shoryuken finisher looks and feels great
this about ds not DD This is just a personal opinion. I never really liked the souls games as I found them atmospherically boring and dull. The same goes for the story and game play. I just didn't like "I frames" even though a lot of games have them. Using them while rolling made the game feel unpolished and cheap for me. Also the character glow or whatever it was supposed to be had the same effect of unpolished cheapness. That said I didn't watch anyone play them for the same reason. I would just fall asleep. So I find it kind of weird that people who hate this game would still want to watch someone play it. It's like they're so mad that somebody else likes a game they don't, so they stick around to spam the same opinion over and over again. I don't like MTX but constantly whining about them while watching somebody play who does not use them seems a little immature to be honest. Maybe covid is to blame as it effectively stunned the intellectual growth of many children. Oh ya I just remembered the title of this stream Dragon's Dogshit 2. Got'em! I can imagine them clicking on the stream thinking he's going to be shitting all over the game. Disappointed they just stick around and nitpick.

Im literally playing it at work all day, waiting for the weekend so i can play it without interruptions and with a good headset
Played DD1 and enjoyed it. played the DD2 story and fought Grigori and was Meh. found out about the Post Game stuff and im genuinly blown away. im far more interested in the Post Game story than the actual game story itself. Monster variety is lacking alot compared to DD1 but id say its definitely one of the sequels of all time. the Post Game of DD2 is just as good id say as The Everfall in DD1, maybe the Everfall is better but idk, id have to go have another peruse through those halls
(edit: Spelling)
I hope they add something like bitterback, which was the best part of dd1

The game is dope so far! I went into a random cave and fuckin Medusa popped up and turned my party into stone
Forgot your panacea?
@@Apple_Apporu Pretty sure panacea doesnt work on petrification, unless they changed it. You need specific curative for that condition
There's a ring that totally stops it.

Theif is my 3rd class maxed and I am having alot of fun with it today just moved onto fighter and it is by far my least favorite of the 4 classes will max it but just not as fun
I am only rank 5 with it and only lvl 42 so hopefully I can find some of the other classes haven’t been to battal yet
Why did they put the best move in the beginning of the skill tree? He’s been busing that upper cut move for like the whole game
If only Blizzard had created Diablo 4 in the same perspective as this game, it would have been stunning to look at and experience.
Well, even so it'll face a similar backlash with people being so greedy and lazy you name it all
Thats all elden ring was and it won game of the year so with the towns, followers, and actual story this game should do twice as good 👍

Yeah, but that's why NG+ exists for this game.
@BrickenWolf in a manner of speaking, yes/maybe it depends on your choices.

NG + is $1.99?

bro, i'm so happy to see you're enjoying this game!
Wish i have a super computer to run this game. Man, i want to play this game😢
Does anyone know his Pawn’s ID? Tried looking in the official Pawns menu but didn’t see his pop up.
My heart dropped for a second, thought it was Fetalis lol
Asmon not using lantern throughout his playthrough is somewhat amazing lol
See, I think Asmon is crashing so much because he keeps several other programs and probably like 50 browser tabs open. That chugs vram and probably CPU usage too. And when was the last time he restarted the PC, I wonder? It all matters regardless of components.
they need to add a keybind that you hold to toggle walking, keyboards dont usually have analog input so you're relegated to either full speed running or not moving at all, and the weighty characters in this game dont handle sudden changes in momentum well at all
it's hard bind to alt
He doesn't read, uses one attack, and continues to not understand. Lmao
I was saying to people that all those MTX was available in game… look at the rate he got fairy stones… and there’s more if you actually play the game.

Honestly I kiiiinda feel the same lol
10/10 game so far but it really bugs me that some of the amazing bosses from the first game aren’t here.

Does anyone know if the rings bloody knuckles are in the game, if so i want to make the fist only build again.
There arent any bloody knuckle rings but the base moveset is quite powerful if you swap to warrior around level 50 with no strength buffs youll be doing something like 350+ damage before buffs, stacking the strength augment and two strength rings will put you over 400 damage but i prefer to go for knockdown power personslly since the shoryuken finisher looks and feels great
I feel like we gotta wait for an expansion for our endless farm and BBI alternative and please for the love of God... HARD MODE.
Give hard mode some time it will be out eventually
Hard mode wasn't even hard depending on your level in the first

This is just a personal opinion.

DD2 is at best 4/10. It's a downgrade of the first game, has microtransactions, no enemy veriaty, empty open world, and almost every quest is a fetch quest. The performance is worse than Cyberpunk's release. You'll be running into same group of wolves and goblins.
The micro transactions don't even matter all able to get items in game, an dd2 barely has less then dd1 enemy variety wise both were also empty world wise
