  • One Summer. Six Men. Three Expeditions.
In the summer of 2020, Stephen T. Major of Extreme Expeditions Northwest, LLC assembled a team of men- each with their own area of expertise, to find definitive proof of the existence of Bigfoot near the picturesque town of Metaline Falls, Washington.
After having received numerous reports of sightings of a hairy man-like beast roaming the hills in the area- Six men go on three different expeditions over the summer of 2020 in search of this illusive creature. Artist & Filmmaker Marshall White documents and delivers an inside look into the world of Bigfoot Research: the stories, the techniques, the adventures, and the evidence they found.
Sullivan Creek Sasquatch is an exciting documentary film about real people doing real research looking for irrefutable evidence of the existence of Bigfoot in north Pend Oreille County, Washington. Enjoy the adventure!
Additionally, we are very pleased to announce that our upcoming 3rd Annual Spokane Valley Sasquatch Roundup will be happening Saturday June 17th, 2023 from 9:00am to 5:30pm at the Spokane Valley Event Center. For tickets and information please visit www.exnorthwest.com

I am 50 years old and have lived in Pend Oreille county most of my life, and do still live at a private lake in the mountains of southern Pend Oreille county. I know the Sullivan lake, area very well, and have backpacked alot of the trails all around northeastern Washington, including around the Metaline Falls area. I have had several different encounters, including a sighting on our mile long driveway into our property, just 2 miles from where I live now. My grandfather had encounters with Sasquatch on the same property, when I was a kid back in the 70s and 80s, in which most of the time I was there with him. I have quite a few things that I have kept private about the subject due to the fact that most people dont believe it anyway. I have been thinking about telling some of the things that I know about it, to the public, now that the subject is becoming more accepted. I even know about how they communicate verbally, and other things that I have only shared with a close few. I know about how they may bed down at night, and that they dont like cougars. These things are part of the expieriences that I have had throughout my life. This is real. I can keep it to myself and it would not bother me, but I think that the information that I can provide, might be helpful in preserving the species. And do not shoot by any means. They are very close to being just like a normal human being, except that they are grouchier, and some are more humanlike than others. I have probably said to much already, but if you want to, you can send me a message back, and we can go from there. I can pretty much hear the naysayers now. I would not bother to type this if it were not true. Thanks.

About 12 years ago, my wife and I camped at the Mill Pond Campground near the north end of Sullivan Lake. We had camped at Noisy Creek the year prior and loved the area but wanted something a bit quieter (lots of teenagers and music at NC that particular weekend). There were only two other couples at Mill Pond the first two nights and we enjoyed some relaxation in the woods. The following day the other two couples left, leaving us alone for the third night of our stay. We were cooking dinner and playing cards (sober as judges, I should note) at approximately 10 PM when we realized that all the normal forest sounds had ceased and it was completely, utterly silent. We had a funny feeling but continued about our business for another 10 minutes or so. At that point, we realized something was WRONG and we felt extremely UNWELCOME. We looked at each other and agreed that we had to leave, immediately. We didn't bother packing neatly, we just threw all our belongings and equipment into the car in a hurried panic and didn't even consider eating the awesome meal that was just minutes from being ready. It is hard to describe the unquestionable terror we felt to the core of our beings. It was overwhelming and HEAVY for lack of a better description.
I have only come close to that feeling one other time in my life, during an incident following a climb of Mt. Adams in 2006. My climbing partner and I completed the south route on a nice summer evening and drove to the Trout Lake Inn for dinner (Not sure if this place is still the same, but it was awesome! Great food and live music with sofas and loveseats.). After dinner, we went back to camp overnight at what appeared to be an abandoned quarry just off NF-23 between Trout Lake and the Cold Springs campground. We parked the car, set up our tent, and laid down to sleep, utterly exhausted after our long day. We heard some kind of animal moving through the brush, grunting, huffing and snorting loudly. I grew up owning horses and the volume of air being moved was at minimum equal to the lung capacity of an Arabian horse. We assumed it was probably a bear and started yelling and banging our ice axes on rocks to shoo it away so we could get back to sleep. Whatever it was would not be dissuaded, and it moved around the edges of the quarry just inside the treeline, never showing itself. This continued for hours. I even resorted to starting the car and shining the headlights in all directions while blasting the horn. I never spotted anything, but it was persistent and didn't leave. Just kept circling inside the treeline and making noise. We finally got creeped out enough to ditch the tent and sleep in the car for a couple hours.
The second incident could have been a bear -- maybe, maybe not. Hard to say. However, the first incident near Sullivan Lake is absolutely etched in my memory as something that cannot be explained. Anytime my wife and I discuss it, the hairs on the back of our neck stand up and we get shivers down our spine. You don't necessarily have to visually see something with your eyes to know it can't be explained by conventional or generally accepted scientific knowledge. We have discussed returning to the area for another camping trip, but haven't built up the nerve to do so just yet.

I have some unrelated experiences that gave me that "can't be explained by something natural, bad feeling described only as HEAVY" sensation, I wonder if our perceptions were similar. It's too bad it's not possible to direct data link to someone's brain lol. But yeah, I believe you when you say you can tell it wasn't right, even though it wasn't a visual cue that left you with that impression

My daughter and I had a very chilling experience camping in Noisy Creek campground in 1999. I have never been back. We were the only campers on labor day weekend! There were no birds no squirrels, no chipmunks, just absolute silence most of the weekend except for bees during the days and bats flying around at night. We slept in the car for 2 of the 3 nights because of this incessant yip yip yip sound going off and on for an hour or more and the sounds of thudding wood and clinking rocks! We have camped alone in remote areas before but nothing as eerie or hair raising in all my years of camping. On the last day of our mother daughter camping trip we took a hike on a south eastern trail and caught a mountain lion very fixed on my 8 year old daughter. That was it! We booked it back to the campsite packed up the tent went home and have never returned the colville national forest to camp ever again!

My brothers and I saw our three Big Foot's during the day! This was in the early 70's in the Mt. Hood National Forest. it scared the crap out of us. What we think we ran into was mom, dad and son family group. How anyone has the nerve to be out in the forest in the dead of night in total pitch black I do not know.
I remember camping at both Beverly Beach State Park in Lincoln City and also at Fort Stevens State Park--both located on the Oregon Coast. The first one is more central coast the second one is more Northern. At night you cannot see your hand in front of your face without a flashlight. At Beverly Beach State Park, if we had the right camp site closest to a closed off area which campers were not allowed to go into--a person could hear strange noises at night. Loud wood knocking and funny cries during the night. The rangers said it was the trees falling down at night and the funny cries was the wind moaning at night through the trees.
Watching some of these programs that have recorded vocalizations, I have recognized that those noises are the same as what the those forest rangers said was "wind moaning in the trees". I now live in a very windy area of Oregon where the wind does in fact MOAN. Let me tell you, it does not sound like the vocalizations of a big foot! What we heard as children were vocalizations of a big foot! WE just did not know it. Today that same wild area is gone, swept away by horrific land slides and coastal erosion. Half of the camping sites are gone too. From what what there more than 45 years ago is all gone. I doubt the same creatures live there now.

@ 41 mins the guys talk about forage available in the area and eventually discuss the fact that some believe sasquatch would be a vegetarian. If they are real and they are roughly built like us, I assure you that they are evolved to eat meat. Meat eaters have 2 eyes facing forward used to find and focus on prey they intend to eat. Why do vegetarian animals have eyes that face out to the sides? To help them scan for animals who have fwd facing eyes and if they don't do a good job of scaning they become supper. Simple...

    • @unropednope4644
      @unropednope4644 2 года назад +3

Plenty of animals that have forward facing eyes eat mostly vegetables and fruit. Small monkeys and apes are mostly vegetarian though they do occasionally eat small animals and insects. Bigfoot beings on the other hand are known to feed on deer, chickens, rabbits etc as evidenced by the frequent reports of them stealing chickens and rabbits from farms and reports from hunters of bigfoot stealing their kills. This information alone is just another factor that further establishes that these beings are not just an undiscovered ape species or monkey but rather aboriginal human type beings like the native American and native canadians have always stated.

I actually had an experience with hearing knocks and noises in the woods. The next morning I had flat river rocks stacked up into a pyramid sitting 10 feet in front of my tent. For example, the guys are in the woods and it's night time and during this time there is drum music going on in the background except it is over powering everything, it sounds like you have a tribe of Indians along with a college drum corps going at it while you guys are walking thru the woods in the dark of the night. I feel we the audience can get into it more without it. Great work otherwise you guys. I wish I lived around that area so I can get involved. Thank you.

I totally agree. Let the natural sounds speak for thenselves. No sound effects, no music when not needed. Music is fine if they're in a vehicle or fast-forwarding, but not in the wild.

I’ve hunted and camped the Sullivan area religiously. Salmo mtn, pass creek pass, grassy top mtn, Hall mtn and across the river on Abercrombie and Hooknose mtn. I’ve never seen or heard anything Bigfoot related. In 30 years never one track even. But I did have a few rocks thrown at me once- that’s the only thing that made me wonder.

Western NY Sasquatch Research is the name of my channel. It's NO BS and full of incredible stuff. I never imagined they lived around here. Or be able to find my home and make it known that they're here. Freaks me right out but it's an exciting journey to say the least! Take it easy and God bless you and yours.

I live in Port Angeles. A central point in the NW side of Washington State phenomenon. The folks who describe “friendly” Sasquatch encounters? I honestly don’t get it. The first thing anyone usually feels (and certainly per the comments posted here) is foreboding precipitated by all woodland sounds going pin-drop silent. Anyhow my first trip to Priest River (on the Idaho side) was the closest I’ve felt to said feelings. Those woods have heavy duty vibes. And heck I was there attending a Christian conference! Never felt scared per se but had I been there for recreation I would not have gallivanted, off solo trekking either. Lastly I had a kissing close encounter with a black bear in the San Bernardino mountains in 2011. Typical: asleep in the tent, big herffing sounds, massive shadow brushed past the wall of the tent 12 inches from my head. It was like another comment described-an Arabian horse size lungful. Anyhow the two feelings are maybe in the same spectrum but the bear feeling was more like “SHIT!” The Priest River feeling was “you don’t belong here” or “go no further into these woods.” Sardonic though it may be at least whatever these incidents are; they seem to typically offer fair warning. And like everything else in the 21st Century, people living life on cruise control are usually the ones who wind up with befouled undies.

I have had 4 encounters With Sasquatch. Two of my encounters were only 25 -30 feet away. The creature had 18 inch long footprints & had 5 toes.
I had one follow me down a very dark Road at 2 a.m. for about 3 miles one night.. I would stop, it would stop. I would take off walking, it would take off walking.
This happened several times over three miles distance that it followed me.
I screamed at it at the top of my lungs, three different times. Thank God it did not scream back at me!
I was 12 miles from the nearest house. I know where these creatures hang out at off and on throughout the year. I've never thought about making a "team" or setting up a "base camp". I've never even considered doing "surveillance". ...Why?
    The question should be.....
    Why would I want to?
The creatures are real. I surely don't want or need to try to prove their authenticity to anyone.
That has been done thousands and thousands of times!
Either people are going to believe you or not!
All I can say is, be careful. You might be getting into something you can't handle & can very well end up Missing 411.
I don't go looking for them and they don't come looking for me.
I like it like that. We just seem to run into each other & by the grace of God, they usually take off running away from me.
    Stay safe everyone!👍🇺🇸

I got to meet Adam Davies at the Sasquatch Summit in Ocean Shores Wa a few years back. He and John Carlson had seen what could of been a Portol in Sothern Oregon. They were down there with Doctor Mathew Johnson trying to study the Sasquatch. What they did see at night was a 3-4' light with 2 small figures in it. I told Adam that I knew a guy that had seen almost the same thing in western WA. The only difference was that the guy I know said he seen 3 figures in the light. They had their backs turned to him, and when they turned to look at him they looked very pissed off! The guy ended up being a friend of mine, but he moved somewhere. Adam wanted to talk to him, but I don't know where he is now. Whatever they were scared the HELL out of Adam, John, and my friend!

I don't know what kind of cranes those are that are squawking in the background that they sound just like the cranes that fly directly over my house every year for the past forever I can remember sometimes it's 10.. sometimes it's 30 of them they're really really high in the air I'm talking up there past some of these smaller airplanes.. and that sound I can I hear it in my head now just one of them I'll remember forever but it's definitely cranes the whooping I see the whooping cranes or the sandhill cranes they used to nest here on our Drake's Creek on highway 52 but they don't nest there no more but they still use this area as their flight path.. but my house is one of those that are directly underneath them every year , every year ..it's pretty cool.

It strikes me as I'm watching this that Sasquatch may just be savvy to the idea that humans are out there knocking on trees. They have a language of sounds, and they are said to be fantastic mimics of the sounds that other creatures make, particularly bird calls and whistles. It may be that they simply will stop responding to and using wood knocks at this point and will stick to their other traditional, discreet forms of communication. Just a thought.

I am a person that has been believing in bigfoot all my life. You have really helped me to understand them. Have you ever seen the films with Todd Standing filming them? He has got great pictures of them. He leaves apples for them, he whistles at them and calls to them to let them know he is there and his position. He respects them. He has been attacked too. You need to see that, why they did that. He did something that intimidated them. He still respects them and studies them. Please watch his films. One is called Discovering Bigfoot. I hope you get this letter.
