Nice review man. I'm extremely happy with my 430. Accuracy with some custom arrows is extremely well out to 100 yards. (plan on taking it further). From what I've seen it is more accurate than bows costing 5x as much. It is long but balances surprisingly well. 👍👍KI!

i really like my orig vtalx from last year, but had to add crank as it was about impossibe to cock with factory rope cocker....but crank works really well once you get the hang of it! don't really need the extra speed of newer one you are advertising. throw a 150 gr mechanical onto ki light bolts/arrows and mine shot great with matching field points.....never got a shot at a fit deer to see what ki mechanical would do.....maybe in a few months will see. my second ki xbow and like both just fine, though vtalx is defenitely quieter with heavier overall arrow set up and paraell limbs design!

Hey thanks for your input! Good stuff! KI makes some nice quality bows for the price. Are you using those Swhacker 3” Broadheads by chance? I love those haha 🩸🩸

@@mountainbuck had to go to crowsbows 10+ plus years ago dt vision problems. was still forced to hunt with them left handed as right eye is shot and left eye not hell of a lot better, but optic magnification still allows me to bowhunt with xbows. all my bh selections have been 100 gr until last year, when i switched to the ki lights and 150 gr ki mechanicals. with that rivalx last year, my normal setup of 100 gr point and total arrow weight= around 420+ gr, including lighted nock, didn't group well at 50 yds out of the rivalx. out of frustration last summer i grabbed one of my ki lights, which i virtually had never shot due to such light wt shaft/insert from factory. threw on old half rusted 148 gr field tip from past years of shooting trad archery equip. well it flew near perfect with that boost of foc wt and overall increased arrow wt dt bumping up pt by 50 gr and adding lighted nock aswell. extra weight even quieted shot a little more and chrono only lost about 10+ fps over my normal deal of using 100 gr pt/broadhead. works for me! 150 gr mechanicals are not that easy to find and i wouldn't have a rage up my butt, so ki 150's should perform about as well as any other decent mechanical design. sorry for the long winded response, but why reinvent the wheel if it can be avoided! thanks for your videos.....they really are helpful for the exact same reason!

@@doncraig3665 Thanks for the info. That's great that you just happened to try that 150 grain broadhead by chance! I really like the 3" 150 grain Swhacker mechanicals. I'll definitely have to check out the Killer Instinct mechanicals at some point. Thanks for the tip!

@@mountainbuck hey thanks! i watched your videos last summer multiple times. your experience with these bows was definitely a help to me. nothing like practical knowledge/help when you're trying to accomplish something! anyone who thinks xbow set-up/shooting/hunting is simple or easy....they are full of it. thanks again!

Alright so how necessary is that little sticker that goes onto the black gasket? It didnt mention it in the KI installation video so i didnt use it. 😅

Haha ah man… I’m sure it’s not that big of a deal, but it’s not that hard to pop of the riser and add it in. I’ve had to disassemble and reassemble before and it wasn’t so bad. Best of luck this season 🦌👍🏻

All things considered, is this worth double the price of the Rapid 420? I can pick one up on Amazon for $326 at the moment vs $600 for the Vital X. I'm looking for an easy to use and reliable crossbow for whitetail hunting.

If you are looking to go a little less expensive, I would consider the Vital X (it came out last year). This is the Vital X 430 and I’ll have a review coming out on it soon. The 430 comes with some upgrades compared to the Vital X, such as an aluminum rail, Lumix speed ring scope, adjustable buttstock, an extra bolt and a broadhead. It also shoots a bit faster at 430 FPS vs. 405. Either one will get the job done. If you have time, check out my Vital X review and even my comparison between the Vital X and Diesel X (both bows came out last year). Thanks for watching 👍🏻

When is the full review coming? It would be cool to see you test it with various bolt weight/broadhead combos to see how much speed and accuracy variance you would get. None of the crossbow reviewers do that.

Yeah that would be cool. I’ll have to get a chronograph at some point. The review will b out tomorrow morning. Thanks for watching! 💪🏻
