Elsa's power was a gift from the spirits because Iduna helped the 'enemy' even though they were at war.

@@madebysteventov well there is more too it. Elsa and Anna are of BOTH tribes. They unite the two by blood, which is why they are the bridge to the spirit world and why it took both of them to put nature back into balance. This was a very complex movie for a kids show.
Ahtohallan is the place where all memories reside. Iduna's voice came either from her soul that went there after death or it was Ahtohallan itself using Iduna's memories to call Elsa
Anna and Elsa are the bridge together. Elsa’s ice powers allows her to quell or tame or balance the other 4, as we see her wrestle with them all except maybe the Earth giants. Anna has no powers because she represents the Arendellian side, the non-magic side that loves magic hence allowing peace between Arendelle and Northuldra.
I don't understand why the other northrulda people look like native Americans but Elsa and Anna's mom does not. She looks plain white to me
And it's also bothers me that Anna, Elsa and their mother have the exact same face. It just looks lazy

They are based off the sami... the arendelians and the northrulda peoples are both indigenous Scandinavians. They are just different tribes... me and my mother are the same race and I look like elsa... where as my mom looks like one of the northrulda. People keep thinking they are like native americans vs Europeans, but that's not it... they are both native to Scandinavia... and the skin tones of the area are a wide range.

Maybe she sang the song that way bc the king isn't fond of magic bc of what happened back when he was younger and he didn't want the girls to ever go to that forest in fear they would get trapped or something idk 🤷♀️
Or their mother wanted them to find the answers by themselves
Or they were going to tell elsa when she got older but never got the chance or they decided not to for some reason bc she didn't have control over her powers and the fact that they ermmm...died trying to find answers
I liked that Elsa gets her own separate territory and citizens she has to protect while Anna rules over Arendelle. They are both queens of their own lands.
But I really hope that we get another Frozen short in 2 years, like we got Frozen Fever in 2015 and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure in 2017. I feel like there was still more to explore with the Northuldra tribe and I hope we do in another short.
The Giants are the manifestations of Earth. It's like they are moving parts of a single entity which is the land/earth. Hope that make sense

Brought the family to see it this morning. The kids loved it. I think my wife teared up at the end and I liked it. The snowman was the best part. I thought it was better than the first movie.
Where the hell do you see a rainbow in elsa's cape?! I see a White to purple ombre effect..!
The white is pearlsecent. As such, it is not unreasonable that some might see a rainbow effect therein IMHO.
I dont hear anyone talking about them cutting a whole song and scene changing it to Kristof proposing instead of Anna.

I just got back from watching this movie and I absolutely loved it!! The animation is stunning and the story really kept my attention and all the feels! I agree with a lot of what you've said in this review and had many of your same questions. When she said she woke the spirits, I was thinking "wait, she did?? When? How'd she do that??" Olaf, rehashing the story was hilarious! 😂🤣😂🤣😂 did you watch the end credit scene? 😆During Kristoff's song, I leaned over to my friend and said "as cheesy as this is, I love it!" I think they did a great job at making it intentionally cheesy, but not overdone. There's a nice balance to it and it's just fun! I think I'd also rate it 4 1/2 stars. I couldn't really say whether I liked one more over the other because I feel like they did such a good job at continuing the story that it didn't really feel like a sequel so much as just a continuation to the story? (I don't feel like I explained that well, but it's all I got. 😅) but I really like them both for different reasons. I want to see it again already!
The official Disney dolls I’ve seen call their final outfits queen Anna and Elsa the snow queen
Because of their mothers good deed to save their father Elsa was a gift because of her good deed
I also feel that Elsa should have go back to arendelle , being the fifth spirit doesn’t mean she have to be with the another four spirits all the time , and I don’t think Elsa is necessarily needed as a protector for the enchanted Forest, the four spirits is powerful enough to protect the forest themselves . 🤷🏼♀️

Awesome spoiler review, I adored everything about this epic sequel. One of my fav moments was Elsa casting that huge wall of ice to rescue Arendelle from the wave!
They made the point that Elsa's powers were a gift for her mother's selfless act to save her father. Ahtohallan is this magical glacier that "remembers" all of time because "water has memory". I don't know why her mother called out at that moment when she saved their father (maybe she was calling for Gale/the spirits to help her). Ahtohallan resonated with that moment and used it to call out to and help Elsa realize her "destiny" that was given to her because of that moment in her mother's life.
I'm kinda sad that they cut "get this right" it was a great song for the proposal. But if they did it would seem that he proposal would happen early on in the movie

I was rolling in tears of laughter from the Olaf re-enactment of the 1st movie
I have a few things to say. First I feel like the confusion and questions you had earlier in the movie are wonderful because they are answered by the end and they work wonderfully as foreshadowing. Second I think that Olaf’s when I get older song is wonderful, because none of it makes sense to us or him at that point in the movie, yet by the end of the movie when we have gotten a little bit older all of those things make sense. Third I also was originally confused by why the third spirit was multiple giants for the fourth spirit, but then I realized that it’s its own universe, and there isn’t just one fifth spirit either because Elsa and Anna were supposed to be both sides of the bridge. Finally I want to say that this movies made me cry so much and some of the scenes that you showed in the corner made me cry while watching this video. Frozen II was so impactful. So yeah I give it 5/5 stars. Also I want to say that other than Frozen every other 5 star movie for me is more like 4.99 stars so yeah it’s like 5+ stars
Oh also I think the the Northuldra and the Arendellian soldiers could definitely be there to set up for bigger characters in a potential Frozen 3

I didn't get how the earth spirit and Elsa come to terms. Elsa fought Air, Water, Fire, tamed them but they never showed how Elsa or Anna tamed Earth.
I loved the animation
But I felt the song numbers were badly directed.
For showyourself there was too much emptiness.
I didn’t get emotional at all watching the number compared to just listening to it.
I expected the scene to be as emotional as “I am moana” from moana.
I just felt they used too many blank empty backgrounds for into the unknown and show yourself.

Movie showdown: Frozen or Frozen 2?! 💥
Frozen 2 really made me FEEL like Frozen 2.
Me too, it didn't felt like she was awakening the spirits. I think you have to watch the movie times again to really appreciate it.
I was also confused for the grand transformation, like it didn't occur to me that she basically turned into a spirit in human shape.
And that moment for Anna in the cave, it also didn't occur to me that to her, it was like she lost Elsa for good cause as the audience I knew that it was temporary death and that she would come back. In Anna's pov, it was like she was dead for good and Olaf died for good too.
Kristoff makes a new look for masculinity and gets rid of toxic masculinity in animation, I'm glad.
The fact the sisters are now each on their path makes me a little sad cause I always loved them being together. But it's fine, I know it's for growth & healthy, it'll take time for me to get used to it.

Olaf is so funny, he brings humor in all this seriousness. I always liked him, I love the way he talks about serious stuff but in a childlike way so it appears less grave. And the reenactment of the first movie was hilarious and the second reenactment at the end too.
I wonder too, why is wasn't Anna having powers? I think Elsa had them cause she was the firstborn and that it was a reward from the spirits cause Queen Iduna saved her enemy Agnarr when their sides were at war and Elsa is basically the first fruit of the union of both sides, Arendellian & Northuldra, half of both sides. But I still wonder if Queen Iduna was a spirit herself or what, too. When Elsa saw her mom in Ahtohallan, I was wondering if she was receiving like an heir the 5th spirit position from her mom or that she was really talking to her as in a ghost form?
Elsa riding the water horse is mesmerizing AF, it's simply just pure magic. Seeing Anna in her Queen clothes felt to me like seeing an older version of herself or Anastasia in princess form. I think it was just her coronation dress so she'll not always appear like that I hope.
Is it just me or are there poeple out there who think that Anna shouldn't have been queen? It just doesn't seem to fit her, in all honesty.

If you see her clothes she is always wearing little nodes that she has a connection to arandelle unlike Elsa.
Whilst the story was good for the most part, it was a little bit too complicated for it's own good at parts and I struggled to understand some of it
I hope if there's a third film the animaters sort out the eye size they are too big and creepy, during the slowest parts of the film I was creeper out

Everyone working at Disney animation studios needs to be fired. Wreck-it-Ralph 2 Ralph breaks the internet (vanellope leaves), Toy Story 4 (Woody leaves), Frozen 2 (Elsa leaves) they have no more ideas they just ruined all 3 franchises at least Elsa is a 20 minute walk away the rest never
I really reckon they could of done better with the plot. The movie got a little boring at some parts. Especially makes it hard for little kids to follow. And it was super lame how Elsa stayed in the forest and Anna became queen
It was a terrible movie. They forgot how Anna's character was in the third act, they rejected everythign the first movie stands for, just to appeal to a large audience. And so here we have a subpar sequel to a mastpiece, URGH.
