love it. i so wish he could have kept it together enough to be an actor - he would have been one of the great british 'character actors' of his time! the first look he gives the piano player is just brilliant...
David Essex, Billy Fury, Ringo Star n Keith Moon, what a line up, bet they could tell a few good stories, well the ones that are still alive, Ringo n David Essex.
A quick sample from Keith Moon of the jet engine type of drumming he produced that got him the job as drummer with The Who which heard via an interview on DVD by Roger Daltrey years ago
Moon says you have to be American to write Rock n Roll songs because of the words. Good thing they got rid of that notion. Sure, in the Fifties initially Rock n Roll was about sock hops, cars and girls. But that changed once Bob Dylan got electrified. Suddenly a Rock song could be about anything. He expanded the canvas lyrically. And then the Beatles went even further. Now you can write about anything and from any point of view. Go Figure!
@@kenchristie9214 Well, that worked out pretty well! Didn’t it? It paid off big! And he even wrote: I hope I die before I get old! But he didn’t listen to his younger self and instead decided living long and well is the best revenge! Dying young is foolish and dumb! Don’t you think? Why succumb to the Rock n Roll death Cult? It’s stupid and senseless! Dying doesn’t sound like a good time to me!
Keith Moon. No other words needed ...

He would have been great as Nick Cotton in Eastenders !
0.20 - 0.31 - And this is why we love Mr. Moon!
Every time they go over Moon's history, they never mentioned this movie. I just heard of it today.
"I think what Mr Tempest is trying to say is that he'd like to get rid of me, but ya can't, can ya, Stormy"
The name is obviously a tongue in check poke at Rory Storm & The Hurricanes.

Polydor execs had to convince a reluctant Pete Townshend to write songs.
