Glittering Girl (Version 3) ©1967 She wasn't a fool That glittering girl She followed the rules That shimmering pearl Said the rules mama preaches Go down when they break The things mama teaches You just gotta shake But she wasn't a fool That slender love figure She followed her rules And made money bigger She wasn't a fool That shining young woman She followed her rules She's crying for no man...

And I moved Simon Philips that drum groove pattern and sound of that snare amazing master drummer
Pete Townsend probably went through numerous guitar techs as groups went through numerous drummers--albeit for an obviously different reason.
I've never seen the Who at their peak! Million tank youse
Where has this been hiding. Great stuff. Thanks for the post
Crowd of ca 200
could you add video of complete shows from 1989 ?

@@TheWhoVault could you add video of all pro filmed who concerts in one video from 1989 ?

500th edition of Top of The Pops...now wiped
I’d be interested to hear more about how Eric Burdon hasn’t recovered from the pressure on the Animals in the 60’s, as Pete says

Anyone know the name of the American band Pete referenced at the very beginning?
An epic performance by Pete and one of our favorites. He promised to comeback to the Fillmore but never did.
Wow. Great share. I REALLY enjoyed it. Long live rock!
Do you think there will ever be a release of LIVE IN TORONTO 1982 or any more professional filmed concerts of that era ? They were epic performances & even though some diss Kenny Jones the addition of Him & a keyboard player gives a better 'musical' experience overall. Moon's drumming is so patchy here it kinda ruins the experience musically (IMO). It's sad. Love Him but love the LIVE concert experience of the WHO also & the live footage from 1979 to 1982 is all really really good ,from what I've bought & other's I've watched on youtube so far.
Bo Diddley Rules ok
Holy shit.
I was there, in the front. This was an EPIC version of EF!
Wow, never seen this footage before. Thanks for the share. Must have been mindblowing for the audience. The Ox only gets a few seconds on film, a pity. Otherwise kudos to the lads - forever the best and most original pop-rock group of all time. Time to release one last single to remind the world, Pete and Roger?
Roger forgot the lyrics in take 1. Called it "a senior moment." I am really surprised to find someone filmed this. Robert Plant was the opener.
Uma revolução musical,a qual inspirou muitas bandas, início do heavy metal
Even as long-term Who fan, I've never seen anything quite like this, in terms of what happens at the end. Strangely, Roger keeps singing throughout the destruction, and Pete seems to put some thought into it, rather than just smashing the guitar. His tuning adjustments at this point are also unusual - any theories regarding why he's doing this?
I was there - when they played PINBALL wizzard the roadies released some HUGE silver beach balls that looked like giant pinballs - about 10 feet wide. The crowd bopped the balls all over like a giant pinball game -anyone remember that -? No footage. And I wasn't THAT STONED
Keiths birthday!!!!
Pop group? The Who are pure rock.
Great footage… at the peak of their powers The Who were an incredible live act!
BEYOND! (゜o°)
They are worth more smashed over being intact.
I wasn't there.
I first discovered David Sandborn because of his association with Roger in 1994... this show and they were both on Letterman together too. Your sax continues on in the cosmos! You played beautifully! Thank you for sharing your gift. RIP David Sanborn. ♥
Bravo!👍🏆
Did they screw up? Is that the frustration? sounded great to me👏
Pete had a lot of artistic integrity & a great work ehic. The rest of the Who too! They poured themselves into the band!!!
That night a Telecaster became a 4 string solid body ukelele, magic .
Rock's greatest philosopher.
There are stories of boys at shows like these picking fights with the band, because the girls are giving them so much attention.
I was at this concert. Jeff Healey and the warm up band. Great show
WOW!!! Just came across this, I am a huge fan, totally forgot about this one. Thanks so much for sharing 👍👍👍
Gotta say...1966...These dudes were violent :)..
The French public...sooo "Blasé"...Qui ça? The Who?...Bof...i dunt knu...hahaha
Pete was not to be fk'd with when his band was on stage!
Might have been a gd drummer but that was one weard mfkr. I can tell you
Why does Zeppelin release all thier 1969-1973 shows in great quality while the Who only gets 1968-1971? Both the greatest live bands ever and they never get the same treatment in releases. The Who was at thier prime through 1968-1976 and Zeppelin from 1969-1973.
Has anybody seen my guitar? I left it right here leaning up against this wall right next to Pete's, but all I see is Pete's ???
Moon must have just got the double bass kit after getting the idea from Ginger.
I don’t think Pete liked the Marshall’s because they distorted too soon. HiWatts were cleaner at louder volume. It worked for everyone else though…
Cream played here in Oct66 and Jimmy Hendrix fresh off the boat sat in !! Why no footage of that??
I can't take my eyes off the CBC logo
