The #1 priority for me is to create an ambience with heavy focus on the auditive experience. No immersive ambience should have a hearable loop and every video is filled with recorded samples, that may only be heard just once in 2 hours. Every ambience should be as unique as possible and provide a realistic and immersive experience for the listener. Sit back and enjoy!

Audio Log: 571: "Initial Reports on the Survey team found Reports of a strange Radiation signature in close proximity to the Colony, despite the Lack of Nuclear Runoff from the Colony, Reports from the team said their getting reports of Auditory Anomalies, crew is expected to help renforce Colonial Security." Audio Log 573: "We've been getting Strange Interference with the comms, Technicians report that the comms are working properly, we all assumed that it was the recent solar storm, but crew from the surface report seeing a ghost signal coming from the planet, I checked the Colonial frequency, but found no matching signitures, I'll Interview the Survey team 12 hours from now." Audio Log 574: "I don't think the planet is abandoned, Survey team has been telling me that they found the source of the Radiation signature, I doubt their Stories, but what the Interviewer has been telling the crew about Rumors, saying that a Alien Civilization used to live in the caves of this new world, and our Colonization have angered them, I told them that the Ruins are said to be millions of years old, and their where no trace of Life when we surveyed the planet almost 24 months ago, but if he's true I'll have to request for a Security Force be Deployed to the Colony." Audio Log 575: "Well, I think the Survey team was right, Security Forces deployed to the planet have reports of hearing voices in their head, shortly after that a team found a Strange Artifact in the Ruins, then after having it brought to the colony, the Colonists have began having anxiety, 28 Hours after that, All Hell Broke loose." Audio Log 579: "we are starting to fear the worst, Half of my Security detail was turned into those things, and something sinister has been reported in the detention wing, casualties have Been reported to be Dangerously high, and I've Initiated a Purge of over 150 of my men, most of my Executive Staff were killed, but containment is Critical, If the Fleet gets here, who knows what horrors will be Unleashed, whoever is reading this Find the containment cell, Destroy the Artifact, Scuttle the Station make sure what ever is here keep it from leaving the system." The space station is so haunted both the space marines and the alien xenomorphs hiked it out of there in double time. When interviewed one of the marines said "It was creepiest place man." An alien xenomorph agreed saying "grnksss-shhtnksssh-ahhkkssss."

Day 45: My food and water have long run out. I've been able to salvage what water I can that comes off of the cooling pipes, but it isn't much. The only sign of life I've found on the station are the rats that scurry in the lower levels. I'm so hungry, I've begun to set traps for them. I've continued to try to get the communications beacon up and running, but I'm no engineer, I have no idea what I'm doing. But I have to keep trying. This constant feeling that I'm not alone has only gotten stronger as the days go on. I'm starting to hear things...things...that don't sound human. Maybe it's the exhaustion, or the hunger playing tricks on my mind. I'd like to think that. Except....I went down to the stations core to get a tool I thought might help me, I've been there countless times before. That's when I saw it, the blood on the wall. It wasn't there before. It's wasn't some hallucination, I could touch it, it was real. And what it spelled out..."Abandon All Hope..."

"Whoo-ee! Looks like we hit pay dirt! Ain't she a beaut? We knew we'd get some salvage in this sector but this is way beyond anything the syndicate promised us. She's not just ripe for salvage; she's still functional! This was an unregistered station so the previous owners aren't gonna complain. From the outside it looks completely undamaged. We're looking at an easy ten million credits. With my share I can clear the bounty on my head, pay off my debts, and get that lake house on Ganymede. I won't even need to work again if I don't want to.
We docked and got to work. We got all systems online in about thirty minutes. That was the easy part. The unpleasant part is always clearing out the bodies. You don't want to know what it's like to stumble on the remains of an old space battle in zero G. The chunks of bodies and clouds of blood floating around is nasty. But we didn't see any of that here. No scorch marks, holes leading into space, or spall scattered through the corridors. We did find bodies everywhere but most were completely untouched. They didn't even show those signs of asphyxiation. It was like someone just flipped off their light switch. But we did find several other bodies in a wardroom and boy that was a mess. They still clutched whatever holy texts or symbols they had believed in, and there was a bullet hole in each of their heads. We only found one pistol there so we're thinking either murder-suicide or suicide pact. There's a lot of data in the crew's datapads to comb through and I'm sure we could find out what happened, but that's not in our contract. We just need to get the station up and running and wait until a syndicate crew arrives in five days.
Some of my crew are nervous and want us to leave. I've worked with these guys for years and I know they're not cowards. We've had run-ins with Space Patrol and have been in more than a few scrapes with pirates. Through it all my guys never flinched. They just have a bad feeling about this. But we can't leave. We have a contract and I'm not ditching this fortune on a hunch.

Entry #4: Captain's real excited about this one, doesn't matter how much he's trying to hide it, but we've made one hell of a find out here. The last of this class of Station was decommissioned a century ago over politics, but this one may as well have been in service for a decade it's in such good shape! Long range coms are still out but Riggs says it's a short somewhere, he's looking for it, but I want a look at the security records first. We're all rich but only if we can tell someone about this and I wanna know why this place is abandoned. Something's bothering the dog too, Toby's a big boy and you won't find a pirate's bigger nightmare than him, but he doesn't like being here.
Entry #5: Got into the security logs but they're all scrambled to hell, so are most of the records we've come across. Haley's spending her time trying to clean them up but so far nothing. Riggs still hasn't found why the power's not reaching the com array, he swears it should be but it's like it's being blocked. Gonna check it with him after lunch. Can't take Toby like I want to, he pretty much refuses to get back on the station. Not sure what's getting into that dog, maybe he's getting skittish in his old age? I hope not, love this big boy too much, yes I do. Who's a good boy, Toby? *clicks off*
Entry #8: Toby started barking at the airlock between the cruiser and the station last night. Snuck out of my cabin down the hall and pitched such a fit he woke half the crew. Captain says he's not sore about it, not after I managed to calm Toby down which took some doing, but he wants another sweep of the station. I'm gonna try and take Toby with me again. Something got him mad over there and it's time he showed me what bothers him about the place. I mean I'm bothered too by how empty it feels even with us here, but this isn't the first derelict he's been on.
Entry #13: Toby doesn't like visiting Haley anymore. I can't blame him, she's spent too much time trying to clean the data logs and not enough time sleeping I think, she's looking pretty ill. Doc's gonna try and get her to take a break, Captain's orders. Toby and I are sleeping on the station now with her, Riggs, and Geoff from Engineering, so we've stopped the round clock work shifts. Still can't get power to the long range comms, it's driving Riggs to a fit.
Entry #15: *alarms are heard in the background, along with a barking of a dog* I don't know what happened. The lock cycled closed between us and the Homerunner, we can't reach her even on the hand coms. Power's cycling erratically, and-Toby shut up! There's nothing here! Haley! Open this damn door! Open the- about time, we-AHHH! *The sounds of struggling, a dog barking more and clearly a fight happens. There's a gunshot. Followed by another, which silences the barking. A woman's voice-distorted by damage to the recording device?-comes on* No mutts allowed on my station...
*Log ends after an hour, no further entries, Segar's body is not on station nor any sign of life aboard the Rogue Trader ship still locked to station*

When we found the crew we didn't even realize what we were looking at. Gazing out from the observation deck window, we see over one hundred figures laying perfectly still on the surface. simultaneously frozen and burned in the vacuum outside.
They looked like they had been there forever. Like the bodies of climbers on Everest. Their exposed flesh cooked by solar wind. Their blood, boiled and frozen, now a rust coloured stain on the pale lunar regolith.
We thought maybe an explosive decompress? a breach in the pressure vessel somewhere? but then we saw it. The footprints.
They walked out there.

Quiet...it's always so damned quiet. I keep expecting to turn the corner and run into one of my fellows. To see the smiles of excitement and wonder on their faces at what our future would be like with such a tremendous stroke of luck. To find what we thought would be a goldmine of technology and materials to repurpose when we stumbled upon this derelict star bastion. These old forts were death incarnate during the days of the outer rim rebellions. Billions of tons of titanium, steel, and weapons platforms large enough to shatter moons. Most were accounted for and repurposed, yet the rumors always persisted that some were left behind to float through the eternal night. Either to damaged or outdated to be of continued worth to the Core System Alliances.
But for small salvage crews like ours, they were early retirement on a silver platter simply waiting to be claimed from the void. Yet now I wander the massive hallways of this once magnificent piece of machinery. The sound of my own heartbeat and shallow breathing, my only company. Why did the others leave me here? Where did they go? Our doctor Julie, always so bubbly and excited. The kindness in her eyes bringing a warmth to my soul in the coldness of the dark. Captain Adrian's strength of leadership, guiding me and the others whenever we felt lost, pushing us forward to a better future. First Officer Lacy's diligence to academic pursuits, ever increasing our own desire to learn and explore the beautiful worlds we discovered in the darkness. And of course Bo'ato, our engineer. Old as the stars we used to joke, but as reliable and strong as the machines he repaired in our travels. I loved them all dearly. They were the family I yearned for but never achieved on my own.
I did my best to keep them safe on our voyage. I was trained as a guard. To act as sword and shield against raiders, against rebels, against those who would harm our family. Yet now my family is becoming a fading memory of days long past. Maybe...maybe I should head back to the bridge? I haven't been in that section of the bastion since the first days of our arrival. Surely there must be some clue, some captured security log that will finally explain why they left?

These security codes are ancient by our current standards, but by the Gods, they still are such trouble. Yet the digital tumblers seem so familiar, so similar to the ones I've seen time and time again. But that is just preposterous. This bastion is over two centuries old. It should be like busting the lock on a rusted iron gate...Aha! I've got you now! But...wait a moment, this...this isn't right. The underlying code keys...these are my designs? I don't understand why my digital signature would be at the core of this derelicts systems. Damnit, I will have the answers I seek. Ah yes, here, the security log of our arrival. There it is, the footage of our boarding. To see all of you again, even on old security logs, it's truly wonderful.
Wait, what am I doing there? Why did I hold back as they near explored the aft hanger? Why...why am I raising my hand to the pressurization controls? Oh God no...please stop. Please stop smiling at them. I can see the fear in their eyes even on these grainy cam-feeds. I'm begging you, don't hit the controls. Don't, please!!! They're suffocating you bastard, stop!!!
*Several hours later, Aft Hanger*
Ah, I see now. I never came back here as well. I figured why return to an empty hanger? But I understand now. It was to forget the twisted expressions on their frozen corpses. I feel the memories starting to slip back once more. Trying to bury themselves in the deepest recesses of my mind. But before I forget, before I hide from the truth...let me use the pressurization controls one last time. I'll see you soon my beautiful family. We'll never be apart again...

We fucked up. We stirred something out here that we shouldn't have, and now we're suffering the consequences. Something's on the ship. I dunno what it is, but there's... *something* present. It took the others. It'll take me too, if it gets the chance. But I won't let it. I escaped through an air vent, and now I'm stuck in a box room with no other way out than the drop I fell down through to get here, and fat chance of me getting back up there. Fall broke my damn leg. It hurts real bad. But surely that pain can't be worse than what'll happen if *it* finds me?
The hell was that red light? And what happened to the crew... they just started turning into these... black silhouettes. And then they just... vanished! It got to Kylie. Oh god, the look on her face when she faded. I've never seen anyone so horrified! And her scream... I can still hear it echoing in my head. I... oh god, I'm so sorry, Kylie! I loved you so much, but I wasn't able to do anything for you! I'm so fucking sorry...!
I've been down in this hole for I don't know how long now. Hours or days, what difference does it make? I keep drifting in and out of consciousness, so it's hard to keep track of time.
I keep writing in this thing just to stay sane, but I hardly think it's working. I keep seeing shadows moving out of the corner of my eye. I hear faint echoes of voices ringing through the walls. Am I really going mad, or is that the remnants of the crew? Are those shadows and echoes what's left of them after *it* got them?
I'm really fucking hungry, but there's nothing to eat or drink down here. I'll probably die of starvation. I hope I do. I'd rather be a real corpse than whatever that *thing* will turn me into.

To realise, it came from the other side of the shaving mirror, where my reflection waved at me, on its own accord.
Folks in the commentaries interpret this as an alien stories with artifacts, crazy AI and blood trails. They have all rights to and pretty good at it. But I think sometimes a hint of mysticism and lack of information is more scary than a whole creative plot.
True. One of the greatest horror films of all time, "Rosemary's Baby" was most horrific not because of what it showed you, but what it didn't! The amazing powers of the mind!

That's the exact reason why the first Alien was the best one. You only ever saw the Alien at the very end, every encounter before that was only alluded to. The crew members got picked off one by one, the only thing they noticed was the creaking and the occasional scream. This is greatly represented in Alien: Isolarion, too, where in the sections with the Xenomorph you only have a scanner that may or may not work and you never know. You can't kill the Alien and you can't hide forever because as time progresses it gets better and better at finding you. The fact that a certain percentage of the Xenomorphs behaviour and its interactions with you is randomized leads to an absolutely horrific gameplay. Wjereas in most games you can count on the enemy following a certain path and your actions have predictable reacrions of the AI, in A:I there's no way to anticipate what the Xeno will do. Maybe you can just slowly crawl to the exit without a single encountee. Maybe it'll show up on your scanner. maybe it'll drop down from an overhead vent, or maybe it comes out of the wall. At times it may not come out at all and run away again instead. Or maybe you just hid in a locker and remain perfectly still even before it drops from the wall and it still comes towards you and rips open the door. There's no fucking way of knowing.

Log of the Sphyrna, recording 13:66. We took another scan of Styx Gamma Black, and we seemed to have a found a survivor of what happened here. He hid in the refrigeration unit while whatever terrible thing happened that killed the crew. Fought like a madman when we tried to take him out, screaming his head off. We took him into questioning, but he was completely silent on every question we asked, he just kept staring off at the ventilations of his holding cell, like he's seen a ghost or something. He only said one thing at the end of our interrogation: "They're still here...they mostly come out at night. Mostly". He just kept repeating that over and over again. Whatever happened to him clearly caused massive psychological damage to his mind. I doubt he'll recover.
I ask ensign Thomas to try another scan for the colonial mining base dirt-side, but I doubt we'll find it. The damn thing's vanished into thin air. On another note, Lieutenant Logan and Mackenzie have disappeared while searching deck -3F for survivors and to repair damage...and dead bodies. I've sent Erik and Thalia down to find them, but for some reason I can't explain, I have feeling that was a bad idea. I don't think that we're alone out here....

Here’s a story idea I came up with!
Garrett Clone 001, Journal log #18: “Something’s wrong with this place. Garrett, my creator, said I would be safe here, that nothing would harm me, even though he left me an assault rifle with a few pallets worth of ammunition. But, after he and his soldiers left, what started out as a figment of my imagination has now become a terrorizing reality. I know I am being watched...by something. Whatever it is, it’s not human, but it’s intelligent, and it’s hunting me. It hides in the shadows, watching me, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. I have barricaded myself inside the galley where my food supplies are, and I’ve sealed off all of the big ventilation tubes. At least I am still getting air through the small secondary shaft. *Sigh*, Garrett, why did you leave me here? When you created me you said I would be serving a great purpose. It’s been 5 years since you said you would check on me, but I’ve not heard from you at all! You’ve fucked me over, haven’t you?! You knew this thing that’s hunting me was already here, and you wanted to see if I could survive it. Pretty fucked up that you would leave me here to fend for myself while you’re off fighting your war against the surviving faction of humanity. If I live to leave this place someday, I’m going to come for you and let you know what it feels like to live in fear. On this I swear.”
I took a glance at my spacesuit's control panel, flicking to the interface tab, where the suit had connected to the station's mainframe.
"This is impossible."
"What is it, Ant?"
"I was aboard this station just before I left to collect you from Resendas X. There was over two hundred people working here, two days ago, Nocky. The escape pods are still docked. But the station keeps track of how many are aboard. It's just you and me, man. Where did everyone go?"
A beep, loud enough to grab our attentions, sounded from the station's tracker program. We were on the first level, near the docks and decontamination area. A dot had appeared above us on the tracker, on the fifth level, moving towards the staircase. An anomaly; the station identified every soul aboard in a little tag next to their dot. This just had a question mark. A deep ball of dread coaleseced in my belly. I looked at Nocky for a quick bit of reassurance, but little was found. His six eyes were glued fo my screen. The strange dot was in the stairwell now, descending from L5. A sound emanated from the stairwell now, a thud of heavy step, with a clicking following the thud. Like a big, heavy, clawed foot.
"Antoine..."
"Yeah?"
"I think we need to leave. I don't think that dot is friendly."
Thud. The dot had jumped across the stairwell, skipping an entire flight of steps. It was now on L4.
"I think you're right," I said, jamming our helmets back on, herding my friend back towards the decon area, keeping an eye on the stairwell and the tracker. The dot moved swiftly, jumping from L4 to L3 in just a moment. Nocky hustled his bulk through the decon as quick as he could, pulling me behind him while I kept the watch for this strange being. L2 landing, now. It was a single level up, now.
Nocky had hustled quick, for we had cleared the nonfunctional decon in a short amount of time, but not quickly enough. A shadow, tall, thin, had appeared on the floor before the stairs. Nocky booked it through the stationside airlock, slammed his fist on the 'CLOSE' button then hauled me through into our ship's side of the airlock and slammed that one closed.
Nocky let me go and booked it to the cockpit. We had almost been too late. A creature stood, silhouetted, presst against the viewport of the airlock doors, looking at me. I saw nothing, but that was enough.
An emergency undocking lever was built into the ship, though I had never tested it. Why would I? It only worked when one was docked, and emergency undocking without cause was a good way to rack up a massive fine or a jail sentence because it damaged the docking mechanisms. But no one was around to care. I seized the handle in a flash and pulled with all my might. A hiss, a crunching sound, and we moved away gently, floating away in zero gravity. But why so slow? It didn't take but a moment to hit the emergency thrusters and make distance from the station. Nocky should've heard the emergency undock and hit the thrusters thereafter. Why were we still just floating?

Things have been quiet for the most part here on the space station. However, I've been receiving reports from fellow engineers about sudden power fluxes, unnatural arcing in the generator rooms, lights flickering and other odd anomalies. I've been doing my best to fix these problems, but sometimes it feels like what I fix, it becomes undone some time later. Another weird aspect is that Dr. Lecter brought two....coffins....on board the space station. He said they were astronauts who died due to a malfunction in their space suits from a space walk 10 days ago. Now I don't know if that's the root cause of all these strange problems, and apparent sounds people have been telling me about, but I do plan on getting more logical answers to fix these electrical issues.

Command this the investigation team leader, we just got to the station orbiting KT5947, this station was supposed to be housing over 600 people correct? Well there’s no one here, all 600 people are just gone, we can’t find anything in the logs & there’s nothing on any of the recovered personal logs that would explain what happened here. The only out of place phenomenon we’ve been experiencing is there’s strange noises coming from some of the corridors, & there have been black outs that have lasted for more than a minute. One of the cadets nearly got a concussion in one of these blackouts after he ran into some pipes in the dark, he claimed he heard a voice whisper “help us” right behind him. The teams doesn’t know what to make of this, we’ve been finding what look like plasma burns on the walls but if those were accidents when the personnel was trying to make repairs then that’s nothing out of the ordinary, just wear & tear. It’s strange the investigation team says they feel like they’re being watched from time to time but that could just be the tenseness of the situation we’re in now. Wait there was something else, my lieutenant said he thought he saw a light outside the station two hours ago but no one else saw it & it didn’t show up on any of the ship or station scanners, we’ve been using our portable life-sign scanners but nothings turning up, not even traces of DNA, it’s like they left in a hurry & cleaned up every cell of DNA, or they were taken, I don’t know what to think, we’ll report back on 40 minutes, Nightshift10000 out.

Spooky noises don’t really scare me.
However, when the station has lost all atmosphere and been filled with a vacuum and I can still hear sound?
Now that’s scary.
After adrift for four days in my ship, low on oxygen, food water and hope, I discovered this craft, this station orbiting a dead moon. It appears to be abandoned, yet this is air and water. Some old military rations, left overs from the second war of rebellion that my grand father fought in.
This is some kind of orbital station as it has no means of propulsion. My hope rose as is left, fitfully, in the captains quarters. I found the bridge. The commo sections was very old but limited to local communications with the ground on the dead moon. After repeated attempts with no response, I gave up.
Who would bring this old, yet functional, station here? To store it for some future use or is there something about this station that they wanted to forget?
The captains log is now functional. Starting with the last entry, my hope died. “Captains personal log. They are all gone! The crew has abandoned this station and returned to the surface of Hammer. They left to return after the strange events that started out as strange outages, then fatal “accidents” that could not be explained. Soon after the crew began to see the recently dead crew members begging them to join them in death. I’ve seen my wife, who as the science officer, was the first to die. It has been decided to row this accursed station to some far off place where the dead can not harm anyone else. I, however, will not be going the surface of Hammer but will join my wife by stepping out of airlock 7. If you find this, leave this station as soon as you can,”
I admit to be shaken but the recording. Hammer was glasses soon after this event and I imagine they all died.
Warning lights flashed! My ship was released from the holding clamps and began to drift towards the rock below.
Turning to find a way to retrieve my ship I noticed a beautiful but translucent shape of a woman. ‘You won’t be needing that old thing. You can stay here with us, forever!’

You look through the window and see the massive colony ship above that new planet everyone's been talking about, New Eden.
"You'd think that with a couple hundred thousand people aboard someone would answer at some point" you think to yourself.
The giant has been radio silent for weeks and just two days ago your ship cought one of its beacons emiting a distress signal.
"What do you think partner?" Your co-pilot asks you.
For some reason you can't shake this one bad feeling from your mind.
"Nothing" you answer.
The door behind you opens as your captain aproaches "still no answer?"
Both you and your co-pilot shake your heads in response.
"Fine then" he brings his radio up "attention all personel, this is your captain: I want both Alpha and Bravo teams geared up and ready to deploy, we're boarding the Exodus-4"
He places his hand on your shoulder "you know the drill"
As he walks away you turn your head around and call for him, you don't understand why but your gut just won't let this go, something is wrong and you need to tell him.
"Yes, pilot?" He asks.
"I... Sorry, nevermind sir" you say as common sense kicks back into your head. Both him and your co-pilot stare at you in confusion before resuming their tasks, as if nothing really happened.
"Exodus-4 this is the Seraph, prepare to be boarded".
Meanwhile, on the observation deck of Exodus-4, a monstrous figure watches the approaching ship, and smiles evilly.

Our salvage team didn't think it was unusual that a Solya-class arcology was found floating abandoned in the Aram belt. They didn't think it was unusual that there was a sign of previous struggle on board, and they didnt think it was unusual that there were barricades everywhere. Oh but by the stars, I wished they'd found it unusual that every barricade pointed inwards and not outwards.

Log Entry 3543: It's been a long journey 24 months on the outer rim, be glad to get back to the station. Don't get me wrong they are a fine crew, but it'll be good to see different people.
Log Entry 3543 an hour later: This is damned odd, no reply from the station.
Log Entry 3544: Still no reply from the station. Hell, there isn't any chatter of any kind. This is normally a busy place but there's nothing here, nothing on our scanners, just the station. Crews starting to get nervous.
Log Entry 3545: Stations on visual, doesn't appear to show any damage. To borrow an ancient saying " The lights are on, but nobody's home." Gotta admit I'm a bit nervous now. If it were medical they'd have a warning buoy out. But we've go nothing. The station is receiving, our communications confirms that. When we get closer we'll do a closer inspection before I even consider docking.

I have lost track of time, days now. I'm not sure whats outside, but the readings indicate the atmosphere is unbreathable. I have to find the planetary exploration suit fast. But, the ships AI is still hunting me, relentlessly. Its only a matter of time when it finds me, and when it does, i know it will torture me in horrifying ways for the access codes to the bridge. I have to get off this ship. Before i become as lifeless as the other 4000 people that were on board.

You see a crew mate sitting in the corner muttering to himself you get closer and you here what he is saying in a whisper
“Cut off limbs make us whole again.”
The station rotated slowly through the empty vacuum of space. Bits of debris drifted alongside it, so thick in some areas that it created a shroud around the upper four pylons, as if it were a veil hiding the face of a corpse. The station had stopped transmitting four months ago, where just five months prior it was announced the station Commander was engaged to be married. It should have been the honeymoon. Instead we were investigating a possible station-wide catastrophe.
Lights flickered on and their beams surged through the debris field to illuminate the station. It had completed construction less than a year ago; the newest model, with top-of-the-line structural reinforcement and a host of anti-asteroid armaments, as well as living quarters for a half a million people. The station itself was gargantuan, and as we closed in on it, the size of it astounded me, eclipsing my expectations. Every window was dark. Every landing platform empty.
"Docking platform 32-B looks intact, cap. Let's see if we can land there." Our pilot, Bastion, pointed to a docking platform to our starboard and one level above us. The captain nodded and placed his hand on Bastion's shoulder. "Looks good. I'll get the suits ready. Buckle up, Carrie, looks like we're going to go find your brother and his wife."
I snapped from my reverie and turned, heading for the back of the ship and our rescue equipment.
The ship rumbled as the magnetic docking clamps secured themselves to the platform. A ringing in my ears gave me brief pause, my helmet held in the thick fingers of my gloves.
"Something wrong?" the captain asked, speaking through the com system embedded into my helmet. I looked at him and shook my head, then placed the helmet on and secured it. As soon as the helmet was on, the ringing returned. After several heartbeats' wait, the ringing died, and I closed the airlock door behind me. The exterior airlock door opened. A figure floated in front of it. I turned on the flashlight attached to the top of my helmet and illuminated a face, gaunt and preserved by the vacuum, missing both eyes and with a torn and slashed face, ripped apart as if by wild animals desperate for a bloodlust they could not satisfy.
"WHAT THE HELL-" The captain shoved the body away from the airlock and it drifted with the momentum of the shove, spiraling away as it joined the shroud of debris. I couldn't speak, I couldn't move, for the face that I had seen on that body was my own.

You wake up aboard a very strange place... a ship. You look around but no one is there. It doesn't look old and dusty like what you'd expect from an abandoned place. The mainframes and computers were working just fine... the little beeps and low hum of the engine are still running, reminding you of a hospital. You call out to see if anyone is there. Nothing. You try once more. Still nothing. The metallic creaks echo through the narrow hallways. You decide to wander around and see if you can find anyone. Your footsteps are the only ones you hear. You come across a supply closet where you find a flash light and batteries. You quickly insert the batteries into the flashlight. You continue searching the ship. You pass through the cafeteria, food is still sitting on the table, untouched. It is strange. 'How could an entire crew just dissapear?', you wonder.The lights begin to flicker the further you venture, so you turn on your flashlight, the halls getting darker and darker. You turn a corner and find a flight of steps to the flight deck. The elevator is broken, the doors keep opening and shutting on their own. You use your flashlight to guide you. You reach the top of the stairs. The flight deck doors are closed, so you press the open switch. The doors slide open slowly. It's pitch black inside. You start to smell something vile, the smell of something decaying. You shine the light around to find the floors littered in corpses of the former crew. Killed by something inhuman. Blood is splattered everywhere. Even the ceiling. You hear a sound coming from the pilots cabin, something growling. You shine your light into the cabin. There is nothing there. You are relieved, but still cautious. You start to turn around and leave when you hear a voice, "Joinnnn us." Your flashlight shines on the once fallen corpses, now reanimated, staggering over towards you. You manage to run past the zombified crew and run down the stairs. The halls are all dark now. You try to look for an exit. You run and run, looking for an escape. You hear uneven footsteps behind you. The zombies are after you. You reach the escape bay. You move towards it when suddenly a demonic figure appeared in front of it. Your flashlight dies out of nowhere. Its pitch black. You hear the growling you heard before in the cabin. A set of red eyes glowered at you. You hear the sound of footsteps stop at least 10 feet behind you. Out of the darkness a giant wooden Gnome jumped at you uttering the words, "YOU GOT GE-NOMED!!!" as it opens its mouth and devours you whole.

we’ve arrived at the Zenith Orbital complex around Jupiter, no one was aboard. Just the hollow echo of the ventilation. My crew has found a few logs, and a missing escape pod. What the hell happened here?
Day 646: -Audio Log-
“This is Jim, Freeman I hope you are listening to this…. Look, my crew has been searching this station since yesterday, nothing is here, not a single person. There is however, a weird substance that I’ve found in the ventilation shafts, a black paste. I’ll have a few of my biologists analyze it. Until then, I’ll get the shuttle ready and warmed up, we’ll be ready to leave by tomorrow. If I don’t send a message by then, call in a search crew, there’s no telling what will happen to us. Jim out”

Jim again, the complex is still orbiting Jupiter, I’m surprised the thing’s orbital stabilizers are running after this long without maintenance. My biology team has a new supervisor, I believe his name is Oliver Herrbach? I’m not sure. But his team more importantly, has found traces of peptides and silicon in the black paste I mentioned a while back. They said that peptides are essential to life forms. If it makes it all the more unsettling, my crew is tasked to dock with Zenith again, in a short few months. There’s still no recorded activity since our original docking, but knowing that this “paste” is still onboard, leads me to question whether something is hiding there…..
Day 841: -Audio Log-
Alright, Freeman you can have our logistics team inspect the shuttle. I did some crude math, but I believe we have enough supplies to explore Zenith for a few weeks. Food, tools, water, books, everything. Comms reported flashes inside the station, it appears the mainframe put the place on lockdown, and that only happens when theirs movement inside….. god it doesn’t help that we have to go there soon
After it happened, I came to miss looking out into the endless expanse of star-spotted black, nothing outside the hardened glass for millions of kilometers. Now when I look outside of this accursed station, all I see are lush fields, flowering meadows, cozy little towns, all of them saying "It's safe here. Come out."

Day 81: This morning, Major Mandell of the 227th Marines Regiment arrived with one hundred and fifty of his fellow Marines for their drop to the planet Rhen Var. We know something is going on down there, but the military and the colonial administrators wont tell us, simply because we're civillians. Some of the colonists who have made it up to the station have been talking quietly amongst themselves about a species of alien tgat they call the "Klesk" whatever this "Klesk" is, it doesn't sound good.

I landed here expecting a haul, turns out landing on an abandoned space station was not one of my smartest career choices. I hear them everywhere, in the walls, in the floor. Come to think of it, what was the FIRST "investigate a creepy abandoned ship/station and try to figure out what happened to the people there" sci-fi/horror movie or show? It has to be like Event Horizon or Aliens where the movie takes place entirely at the creepy location. Hence, The Thing and Alien don't count for briefly visiting such a location before leaving.
There's Aliens (1986).
There's also Solaris (1972) but I'm not sure that can even be considered a horror film (Event Horizon was pretty much a full on horror remake of it).

Nah, Cosmic Horror simply blends well with the unknown factor such as the vast vacuum of space or like the Thing an alien lifeform so grotesque with no real characteristics. We try to categorize it so that our fear factor can drop in the face of such a being.

@@razorburn645 If by full audiobook you are referring to music, sound effects, etc., then yes it has that. It makes it very unsettling at times. You wouldn't think something from Star Wars could be creepy, but this audiobook pulls it off nicely.
