Less so lately just because the best places to practice jumps near my college are like a 5 mile ride each way, and I don't think the nimbus hub could survive the uphills. I don't have a car, so that makes things harder. I've been practicing a little on flat though
@@ajkinsella-johnson4441 Recently, I’ve got a 27.5 quax freewheel and been practicing it, but in my country it’s not easy to get information about it. Then, I happened to see your video, watched it, and liked it so much!
I just ordered a freewheel 20" . 3 Months you say. Feels like starting from scratch again. Can't wait for it being delivered. Did you build the wheel yourself or could you buy the 26" freewheel?
Setonix Roo I had to build the wheel myself. The only complete freewheel unicycles sold that I have found (and I’ve looked pretty hard) are just novelty, for the challenge. Does yours have a brake?
I'm trying to learn to freewheel and would love to add it to muni. Are you basically just riding the brake the whole time??? How do keep the wheel from shooting out on a steep drop down?
In this video I am using the brake all the time. It’s not very efficient so I have been practicing coasting without the brake. On a drop I just make sure I am balanced when I leave the ground, and then use the brake more when I land.
ballistolballs it’s kind of hard to say exactly at what point you can ride a freewheel unicycle because you can learn to rely on the brake for balance within a couple of hours, but to give you an answer I’ll say being able to coast without touching the brake would define freewheeling. Learning to coast took about as long learning to ride a fixed wheel did, but after I could freewheel my skills on a fixed wheel unicycle carried over.
R A V E N sort of. I can hold the brake, and then hopping is pretty normal, but I can also hop while coasting (almost like a dashed line), which is a little harder, but also a more useful skill because I no longer have a brake on my freewheel uni.
Wow that is brilliant freewheel riding!
Yeahhhh nice run!!!
This is truly innovative. I used to BC wheel as a teenager, maybe I'll get back into unicycling with a freewheeler
Georfe Shoemaker YES you absolutely should!
Where can I find this unicycle. Looks awesome. Great riding
Woweeee absolutely awesome!
I love it!
Respect!
Do you find skinnies are easier or harder in comparison to MTB?
Wow. Superb!
Awesome.
Wow… I wonder if you still continue this.

yes definitely. Can't use it without a brake.
I want one.
Love it. How long did it take you to be able to freewheel a uni? I have the Oracle too as u can see on my videos.
UniMart I had been riding about 9 months when I made this video. To be able to ride on flat ground/slight uphill consistently it took about 3 months.
AJ Kinsella-Johnson it's on my to do list now

If riding a regular uni is a skill level 10 What skill level would you rate freewheeling? I'm trying to get a sense of how hard is it. Thanks

What hub did you use? I am trying to find a disc brake freewheel hub but I can't find anything, even on unicycle.com.
mateo beeney this is using the Nimbus Drift Trike Disc hub
AJ Kinsella-Johnson do you by chance have a link? Ive been able to find the Nimbus drift trike hub, but not disc compatible.
Can you still bunnyhop if you would like to?
