    THANK YOU SO much for the actual progression to Pike push up! It is not easy to get the right form, Especially if you can barely do one. I'll work on the eccentric (?) version, going slow on the way down. Thanks again, huge help!!

    The treating the pike push up like ur on a rail is such a good tip!! Stops you from turning the pike push up into a basic push up and forces you to go back up!! amazing stuff :))

    Way more than just PPU instruction. Thanks for the foundation explanation. Probably one of the topics that get talked about the least, yet needed the most.

    Thanks for covering over-head pressing. I've been doing calisthenics for over 5 years now and it's still my weakest movement.

      Yeah it can be a very tough position to build strength, but with a process you can trust it will come with consistancy and a progressive overload you can handle. Jacko

    Excellent video.. 100% agree with the negatives and the static holds they are fantastic for building strength.. I've been doing weighted false grip holds 5 seconds at the top with a 5-second lowering which I'm going to build up eventually to a 10-second hold 15-second lowering . I struggle with my pike press as I find my shoulders are quite weak. But I'm working on them.

    I am trying to learn pike pushups but I cant even lower my head low enough to get to the ground. Are there any bodyweight excerises i can practise to build strength for it?

    • @Ricky-yi8dj
      @Ricky-yi8dj 3 года назад

      Honestly bro I have the same problem, Im fairly strong in all my movements I can even do a wall assisted handstand push up but when I bring it to the pike and have my legs straight and close I just drop or I cant go all the way its so frustrating and it seems that everyone finds the pike easy cuz theres not many videos about it.

    • @szczypi0rek

      Isometrics work for this problem. Hold your lowest position and youll improve in time.
