    Glad to find your channel. Beautiful pen. It’s a classic look w a modern feel because of the transparency. Great vid.
    Beautiful art.

    I just received my Custom 74 in smoke color a couple days ago. Medium nib is ideal (Japanese Medium is similar to Western Fine). Loving it so far. The 74 has exceeded all of my expectations. Purchased from Goulet Pens....great service.

    Thanks for another great video, Teoh. I'd love to see one on your entire fountain collection. Someday, maybe?

    Omg! I agree...that is a beautiful pen. Teoh, pleeeeease, on the next sunny day that you go out sketching...please use this pen so we can see the blue translucency in the bright sun! Hope it's sunny in Singapore? It's pouring cats & dogs here in Cloudy-Southern California! lol ☔️

    Pilot Custom 74 is one of my favorites (I have three with different nibs). The con 70 converter is fun to use. There are more Pilots in my collection than any other maker. I bought the Custom Heritage 912 FA after watching your review.

      Which nib size is the best? I want to get one in translucent blue cause I think it looks very nice

    It's good to see art still being done by non-electronic means.

    Hey Teoh,
    Have you ever used a Pilot PO (POST) nib. I've read that it is a very fine and stiff nib, mainly advantageous for drawing when fine extra fine lines are desired.

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  5 лет назад

      I've not heard of that nib before

    This is a really beautiful fountain pen! I'm sure you can buy and change the nib. Can you tell me please the ink you used, you mentioned it's waterproof and it looks greyish. Like that! Thank you!

  • @harshbhise6827
    @harshbhise6827 2 месяца назад

    Do shake the noodler's black ink well before filling it as the colour does settle at the bottom. You will get a greyish ink instead deep black ink otherwise.

    That's a beautiful fountain pen; but, it's considerably beyond what I can afford to spend on a pen. The lines that you made with it are so nice and smooth.

    Great review Teoh - have you used any of the Waterman pens for drawing? They are similar in price to this one (which is about £80 in the U.K.) but designed as high-end writing pens but they have lovely solid medium/broad lines and very strong nibs so maybe are suited to drawing?

  • @jasperdaniels8072

    That is a very fancy pen. I want all of them in all the colors. Where can I get some copic markers? How do I hold my pencil to start sketching?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  8 лет назад

      +Jasper Daniels You can find Copic markers only. Compare prices on eBay too. As to holding the pencil, there are RUclips videos on this subject. I don't have any video on that.

    • @TheSpinDoctor

      Jasper Daniels Tip: buy Copic Ciao as they are cheaper (have less ink in them but are refillable and unless you are using them extensively all it means is you need to refill slightly more often) than Copic Sketch and that will save you a lot of money when just starting off. Big craft stores often have coupons and good deals on them - as do Amazon and EBay as Teoh says. Copic Ciao has same superbrush nib and same ink as Copic Sketch, just available in slightly fewer colours and are a little smaller so less ink inside of them. Much more economical.

    Great vid. Adding this pen to my short list. I've wanted it for some time but always end up getting something else. Also you should consider wiping your pens down with a microfiber cloth before your vids.

    Hello, where did you buy the Pilot Custom pen? Was it in SG and where? Or, from a website? Thank you!

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  7 лет назад +1

      I can't remember where I got it from. You can find it on Amazon, eBay. If in Singapore, Fook Hing and Bras Basah Complex Lv 1

    That fine pilot pen writes great. It writes so thin. Do you often draw with that pen?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  8 лет назад

      +Jasper Daniels I don't use this that often because I prefer thicker lines.
