I can understand her situation. I'm like that. Not working right now due to major backn issues. But my wife still wants to spend like when I was making big money. It stresses me out big time. But some things you gotta bite the bullet on. My dog has cost me $1k in vet bills and he's still not fixed. Poor guy. I wish you the best.
Invest in dividend paying companies. Stock market is your friend. 50k into 5-15 different dividend payers will bring you enough money every 3 Months to spend and grow the account. You’ll need around $150k in to pay bills and live off of it though.
