Very helpful video. For removing the blower wheel "tip" from the motor shaft (in video starting at about 20 mins), we used WD 40 and pounded the vice grips (to no avail), but then tried brake fluid and it loosened the tip after only hitting the vice grips 3 times. Thanks again!
Hello I normally put the regular sound and most of my videos and if it’s any sound and some of them is a reason why but for you or anyone else taht want to hear the sound send me an email and I will send you the video with the original sound, but just so you know in the background you’re going to hear the customer phone conversation dogs barking in the background and newborn baby crying you were barely gonna hear anything that I’m doing thanks for your support and your comment. You no idea how you’re helping my channel.
@@DIYRepairsNowhey, i’ve got a newer whirlpool dryer, not a lot of lint on the screen, when i try to turn it on it makes a loud and fast ticking sound and the barrel doesn’t spin. is that what this one was doing?
Good video take off the fan it's a half inch ratchet extension but as I was doing it counterclockwise (90% of motors are left hand threads ) the fan cracked 😢 So I use the hole saw then I used vise grips done deal took 5 mins
A powered Dremel with a disc grinder. ..that would cut it quicker even Dewalt should be making attachments for Dewalt products. Cause I'd like to buy stuff from Dewalt
I don't go tru that cut the blower wheel around the motor shaft same tools fan will come out easy deatatch de motor from the base and take that little piece from the motor on a table done deal tech for 25 years experience
Great video! You probably saved me a $450 service call. It took me 3+ hours to disassemble, clean and put back together. Had I not watched your video, closely, I'm not sure the story would have ended well. We got lucky, the blower fan was just clogged with lots of lint, after only 3 years (we have lots of dogs). Fan was still secure on shaft! Be sure to vacuum tube from dryer to wall before pushing back in. Thank you for the video!
I have this model : YWED75HEFW1 The scratching noise is brutal as fuck. And hurts the ears.. like listen to finger nails on a chalk board. :( torture 😫 days. . But that's the model I got. Know. I might have to lift it off the washer and out it on floor. And start taking it apart. You have any links for this brand
Thank you for your video!! My problem was the idler wheel, found that out from someone else’s video but I needed your video to show me how to take the dryer apart and put it back together b/c no one else did as good of a job as you.
Thanks my man! This definitely saved me a lot of trouble. I’m to the point of cutting the wheel out, it’s late and kids are in bed so I’ll finish the job tomorrow. Plus I know they are gonna want the satisfaction of helping dad vacuum the ridiculous amount of built up lint in here lol.

You are Very Much Welcome! Thanks for that Tip!
Having video of the actual noise would be real helpful.
Would have liked to hear the noise.

Tip for viewers. 1” socket with breaker bar on the nut on back of motor with vise grips on the front shaft broke it loose easily
