It’s hard to appreciate just how steep this run is. I hit this mid season on a Capita Mercury and my calf muscles were burning from trying to keep my edge from kicking out!
wow! I visited the K on the 23rd a couple days after you did and I was hesitant to go on lower ovation because there was even less snow then this. I am happy I did not because this looks terrifying! I already yard saled down it years before. HAHA
Honestly this has got to be one of the hardest trails for them to cover, even with ample snowmaking equipment down the side. I've never actually seen lower Ovation with what I'd consider an acceptable amount of coverage and they just open it on marginal conditions just so the crazies can get their double diamond fix haha. I wasn't too far from joining you in the yard sale club either!
Just the last part yeah. I feel like they should label the very top as a double diamond along with the top of Escapade as well, it's really just a matter of inconsistency between the trail map and actual signage
This looks like a snowbird blue run. Just kidding. It never looks as steep on video. Good job! I think I've only skied outer limits in a completion. Which is steeper? The spring moguls look fun on that big snow patch.

SO UNDERATED it’s insane. I love this.
this trail is nuts
Ahhh - the sounds of skiing the East. Love it!
I was there and did this trail same day. Even saw my track where I stopped to take a video. The snow was good early on

@@Bram4Real if your edges aren't sharp enough this trail can be nearly impossible
Love this slope. Kicked my butt
The view from the bottom never gets old!
So the double diamond is just the very beginning?
nope the end, although the very beginning is quite steep too
