My first visit to Miami Beach was in 1964 and along Ocean Drive were a plethora of nursing homes. There were also some great hotels along Ocean Drive and Collins Ave , long gone, among them The Bancroft, Shoreham Norman, The White House, Poinciana Hotel, Surfcomber etc etc. Now, it's America's Riviera and fabulous place to live and visit, as this video shows. If i get reborn i want to grow up in a city with palm trees and 350 sunshine days per year. Not in a country with ice and snow and mud all over. Busses are dirty. Cars and sidewalks. Looks like a junk yard everywhere. This part of Miami looks nice. Now you only need the right car. How about a Bentley Continental Convertible in brown with Cognac coloured leather seats ? Added to that my standard cigarillos from Romeo and Julietta. 😎

Nice. City is looking good. 'Back in the day', in the early 1960's, people could rent 'efficiencies' on Miami Beach for $30/mo - yep ... $1/day. Makes me so angry about homelessness. You could sublet your apt. back home to pay for your months long vacay in Miami Beach. City is looking good but the weather ... get ready for some of the biggest thunderstorms on the planet.
