BJJ, No Gi & American Shoot wrestling / MMA Student visits @My_VLMA_USA to get a lesson with Sifu Miloš Drakulic in #escrima and #wingchun #selfdefense
Thank you Sifu Miloš! Your explanation of timing & distance and the connection between how you can take away time by covering distance and any distance you give the opponent can allow then to either regain that time (space) and those principles live in action! Can't wait to come back sir! Thank you for being so welcoming andintroducing me to your Wing Tsun lineage and introducing em to Latosa Escrima!
My best instructors were always able to keep me in uncomfortable positions with my center line compromised while maintaining theirs I believe a fight can be one with just balance alone and it can be activated with Wing Chun
100% correct the best fighters are experts at constantly being able to adapt to the ever changing environment of combat that's why pressure testing and the free style playing must be one of your regular training practices
I love the neck thing, this is a thing a lot of people doing wrestling do not get. A tempered kung fu practitioner gonna hit them like killing a rabbit and then they lay down flat on the ground. This thing even created once a massive shitstorm. I think this was when gabriel varga and jesse enkamp had the thing with the video I Entered A BJJ Tournament To Prove It Doesn't Work. Funny thing is that i am not sure, if it really is a wrestling thing, but instead a sloppy execution sneaked in from judo and jiu jitsu into wrestling. The original greco-roman style does not expose the neck, they attack upright and push their head into your chest to unbalance before the leg takedown. Which makes the technique by far harder to counter.
I did not quite get the way you justified your choice to combine and choose latosa and leung ting. But i do not really find a proper distinction searching the internet either, what makes these styles different.
It is the focus of not wasting time and energy on technical applications or style signatures, but on efficiency of power, aggression and direct finish.
I did not quite understand either. What I think I picked up from watching and listening to the video was that the Sifu was demonstrating a concept of interrupting the opponent's timing but also interfering in the opponents decision making process (ex. the hand on the neck when the opponent went to 1 knee.)
Why did he grab his belly as if kicked in the belly then invoke the name of Jesus Christ when the kick never touched his belly? I'm a former student of Leung Ting Wing Tsun, Latosa Escrima and KunFa under Sifu Keith Fain and Sifu Emin Boztepe since the 90s.
But you know he is not trying to really hit you. Very fake. You used strikes with control, but he didn't. Wing Tsun is good, but it's tragic how people get duped into this.
Yes, he tried to control his attacks in his way, like I controlled mine. But, real or full attacks will always cause a proper response, in the way I practice and always did. So, he tried to have an experience of the move patterns and not to challenge me.
@@MYVLMA I am apparently speaking of 1) the impression given to the ignorant. 2) that he is amazed although he acts like a sitting duck; it's what happens to combat sport guys coming in contact with a martial art, tragic actually. 3) you controlled the number of your strikes less, giving the impression that you were realistically controlling the game, when you weren't. This all that I say has nothing to do with the system, nor is it to say you are incompetent in a fight, I am just pointing things out for the viewer. Do you have a problem with that? You say: "full attacks will always cause a proper response" - It will cause a response, but whether it be proper or not depends also on the opponent.
The way i see it, this video was with the intend to demonstrate intercepting. It is probably one of the most prominent features of wing chun, as bruce lee back then called his style way of the intercepting fist too. Miloš did explain a bit fuzzy, but it is an age old concept. Then how would you have structured the video to give a more realistic impression in your view?
@@canyouhandleit6718 his training partner seems to be former cannon fodder of his old dojo. Judging from the injuries he had, that he described in the last video. He might be not up to Milos level, but thats why you go into a dojo, so people that have the attributes you seek can guide you. Eventually there will come more light sparring videos in the future, lets just wait and see.
@@PaMuShin If I wanted to present just that concept, I would do it slowly while explaining and some times fast, pointing out that that is not how it will happen with all types of fighters. However, he shows more than that concept. It is one thing to show a concept, it is another thing to apply it as if you will always be able to apply it on an untrained or trained attacker. I know all do it that way, and I simply don't like it. Don't know if you read our dialogue, it seems you are talking about one thing, while I am addressing more.

Big fan... keep these coming :-)😂

Practice combat, not sport! 😊👍

He got kicked. He was not acting up.

That's why I asked. God bless you.
