The tournament I went to was combo breaker last year and he did this for what seemed like a good 2 hours or so. Just sat down and played anyone, what a cool guy! I wonder if he does this at every single one.
Casuals with everyone is honestly the winners mindset. You can learn something from everyone no matter the skill level or gap and especially at majors its a chance to get sets in with players you dont get to play often or have never played before

I'm honestly not surprised. Japan has a lot of skilled players. Going there to challenge someone is like going to the highest room in the tower where everyone can use Nen in Hunter x Hunter.
EVO should do a Promotion where you can "Play with the Greats" or have a match with participating players (Just a match ). AND they should give back to players like Arslan for doing that work.

There culture is all about hospitality and respecting your superiors(to a fault). But people should never get hospitality confused with true authentic feelings. And thats why with Japanese people in particular its hard to know where you truly stand, because they will act that hospitable way towards your face, but hate or talk about you behind your back.
