Never even knew much about Pakistan until Arslan Ash put himself on the map during EVO japan. Pakistan is amazing. Love and respect from Philippines 🇵🇭❣️🇵🇰
Bruh stfu. He is an american and he learned his dota skills in usa, that doesn't help pakistanis. Whereas arslan learned his tekken skills from Pakistan, that helps put Pakistan on the map as now people know Pakistan is extremely talented in the tekken region. Just having a Pakistani nationality doesn't mean representing Pakistan.
Kind of a bittersweet moment explaining his dads death. You can see him having conflicting emotions of sadness but also acknowledging it allowed him to be what he is...
Yeah, that's really sad. As we say in urdu, "Kuch panay key liye kuch khona parta hai." roughly translates to you gotta lose something to gain something
Short story here: So his story hit a little close to home. My brother in law (sister's husband) fled Pakistan many many years ago. Needless to say, his father wasn't exactly very accepting of my family or his son's marriage to my sister (we're Latino). His father has always been a thorn in his side nearly his whole life and generally doesn't speak that fondly of him but he never lost respect. He now has two loving families, has an incredible job, and 2 kids. He looks at my father as his own and has always been treated like a son by him. I've known him since I was a kid, he's always been like a brother to me. Honestly, it's sad, and I've always seen a similar conflict in him. In my time, I've seen a lot of father's like his, but I've also seen some incredible ones (his extended family, cousins, etc).
BEING AN INDIAN I STILL FEEL HAPPY FOR HIM. the underdog stories are the best. I wish all the best to him. And people like them can bring a change to the scene be it India or Pakistan.
Bro you are stupid hr cheez main jealous hona zaruri nahi. Dunya ka koi bhi top player aisa nahi hoga jo tournament main kuch round na hare. In tournaments jo asal cheez matter krti hai ke jeeta kon hai aur haara kon hai. Arslan showed the world who he is A Pakistani GIGACHAD!

Yeah but mainly it was his own determination, I heard his interview where he said his mom first disapproved of him to go in tornments and focus on studies.
His journey is always emotional, saw his interview at wufl. I am a Netherealm player but after watching arslan i had interest in tekken too. Luv from India! God bless u Arslan

There was a pretty good offline tournament in Ukraine like 2 months ago with a lot of top players. Arslan won that tournament. They mention it at the end of this video.
Kudos to the whole production team of this video for depicting Arslan's story so beautifully in such a short video. Hope you reach all the heights you want to go Arslan bhai in your life. Videos on you are always inspiring & moving.
A lot of us Tekken fans here had similar childhood to Arslan, what made me happy that someone from our country was finally able to represent it to the world, it's like all of our dreams came true at the same time, I've been following him since the beginning, kept praying he would achieve it what we couldn't. Though my story is kinda opposite 😅 my mom always dragged me away back home from arcade every time I got late, 😂 it was always quite embarrassing when everybody was there watch our gameplay, she was also a teacher and quite strict, yet my dad was mostly supportive because he knew it would keep me busy so I won't bother anyone. 🤣 They never made me leave my city so I wasn't able to go to any tournament, at the end it was just study that kept us occupied and no Tekken friend. 😥

In a culture, where gaming is so much frowned upon, where parents are so much in control, what Arslan did isn’t something small. He achieved something which is almost impossible. What we take for granted, Arslan struggles for that. That’s what makes him so legendary.

I'm quoting Arslan from his different interviews esp. the podcost with Junaid Akram bhai where Ash said that his reflexes were very fast when he was a teen esp. when he was 12 yrs old boy. He was always a topper of his class but he never got an opportunity to play outside country at that time due to shortage of money, sponsors and Visa issues. Later on, his father passed away that was quite hard time for his family. He continued his studies along with his gaming passion. At the time when he was a CA student, he got an opportunity so he left CA & went after his passion that was takken amidst all kinds of tough challenges. Credit goes to the friends who supported him & the ppl and the group of UAE who sponsored him early in his career when he had no money to travel abroad n play in foreign tournaments. Unfortunately, there was no opportunity for him to go abroad for foreign tournaments when he was so young n talented. He further said that in his early teens, he won in a tournament in Karachi against the best takken players of Pakistan. Prior to that competition, the organizers said that the Winner of the tournament will get money, opportunity and sponsership to travel abroad and play tournament in Japan that time. But they decieved him and didn't gave him those opportunities as they claimed. They just gave him little amount. Ash said that he always wanted to compete abroad but couldn't go for it b'coz there were no sponsors and govt. usually don't invest much apart from Cricket or few other outdoor games. So, all this talent got wasted. I believe, if Arslan got opportunities like the Koreans, Japanese, Americans and the Europeans, at that time when he was young, story would have been completely different from today. However, he already did so much in his 20's, Ma Sha'ALLAH, that ppl across the gaming world n Takken community started to know him. Arslan ! You are a huge inspiration for a lot of young talented ppl across the region. I really wish good for all other talented players so they don't get waste in any field due to lack of opportunities whether they belong to any country or religion. Always support talented ppl around you. At Least, we can encourage n motivate them. Best of Luck ahead, Arslan Bro. Lots of Prayers n Blessings for Everyone in the world. Huge Love n Respect from Pakistan. ❤🎉😊
The global community is supporting him much more than our own country. I appreciate Redbull & everybody who is supporting or has supported our Arsalan Ash.

Arslan had done a lot for Pakistan and eSports in Pakistan. Because of him, the world now knows the talent in Pakistan. I still remember when i used to play Tekken in my childhood, there were many talented children who were really amazing but they didn't had any support. Today, the hidden talent can brought to light through social media. We should encourage the talented children and give them exposure.

This is a next lvl documentary, gg!
Glad to be living in the same city as him :))
I wouldn’t say that winning 82,000 over 3-4 years is considered wealthy, but good for him following his dreams.
That's large sum of money for third world standard, and don't forget daily needs is cheaper in there...
82,000 is a big sum here. You can get a descent house and a car for the money in local currency. But it won't last him a life time.
@@syeddanishanwer if he invests 80 thousand in a business in Pakistan then he's set for life
The filming and editing is out of the world just like my man arslan ash✌️

Arslan is an excellent role model for the next wave of the gaming generation.
I want this vdo to be keep going, big fan Arslan Ash, thank you Red Bull Gaming.
