Its not a protein treatment. Its a rebonding treatment. It helps to rebond the hair to repair the damage or breakage. It is NOT a conditioning treament nor is it a protein. You can use during a color, straightening, keratin treatment or as a treatment. Also step 2 should be applied ALL over and combed through and left alone for at least 10 min. Again this is a rebonding treatment. Step 3 goes home with the client (as part of the price of the treatment NOT additional) and it should be done at least once a week

I just went really light today and they used olaplex on me, im gonna go back in a few weeks and do a treatment too, I cant believe how well it works, last time I highlighted my hair it was fried, this time I went even lighter and its fine. this stuff is amazing.
It's not a protein treatment it rebounds the desulfate bonds of the hair that break during chemical treatments and heat appliances sorry for grammar puertorrican hahaha 😂

Hi Mandy, I know this is an older post and you may not even be seeing comments at this point but I hope you do since I have a "stolen" recommendation that I thought you might be interested in hearing. Maybe you even already know this by now, but anyway, I was watching a Guy Tang video a few days ago and he had an absolutely BRILLIANT idea to line the base of your wash bowl with plastic wrap to hold on to the Olaplex from just going straight down the drain so you could "play" with it a little bit longer in saturating the hair since, as I'm sure you already know, Olaplex is like liquid gold it costs so much. So anyway, I hope you get this comment and if you don't already know this idea, perhaps you could try it out and get some more mileage out of your Olaplex treatments. A shout out to Guy Tang for being super brilliant with this idea!

this is so awesome.. it helped me realized that my former hair lady over charged me for nothing.. she told me she used olaplex on me but my hair got even more damaged each time i saw her.. my hair was down to my waistline and now it is super short because of the bleaching she did and all the breakage from it.. she only did my hair in 2 hrs. my virgin hair was darkest brown shade.. almost black.. and i have super thin hair.. this video really helped me.. i will do this treatment on myself once i get the olpalex set i ordered.. thank u! subbing now..

So beautiful, this is like my 3rd time to watch. My hairstylist for 20 so years refuses to do me completely blonde:((( she highlighted really heavy I'm may 2016 after I had not touched my hair in about a year and a half. I had to go back 2 weeks latter to add more highlights then another 6 week appt the 3rd time my hair was mush I lost so so much hair. On top of it I am so brassy and so uneven I just wear it up. i have a question about toner. do you always use toner when bleaching?

Sweet Almond oil works really well. Note, not just Almond oil but "Sweet Almond oil" before you blow dry will do wonders for your hair.

I need help. I am a dark brunette with little bit of gray. I've wanted to be a blonde and my stylist won't do roots:( so I get heavy highlights I have went for over a year without doing a thing to my hair except trims and finally was in good condition. She highlighted me and I still wasn't happy still too dark.

I just used Malibu well water shampoo&crystal treatment&my hair is damp in a towel. Can i put this on towel dried hair? Does it need to be conditioner free before putting on the no.1? I am a professional but its my 1st time&trying it 2nite on myself!

Thanks for the video, it seems so easy. The directions are telling me to measure and put it in with my powder bleach... I'm using 30 min bleach. But the directions are very complicated. Will the process you are describing do exactly the same thing as the directions? HELP!

hope you can help (: i had my hair blonde a few months back and decided to go black i didnt like how i look with black anymore (natural hair color is a dark dark dark brown) i went ahead and did the "colorfix" box from sallys to remove the black and went a brown redish color and then i bleached it and my hair is DAMAGED and not the hair color i want feel like it will break easily if i bleach it again or do anything as well have DEAD ends ( is like a orange color) do you recommend me using this and get the color that i want? I get that it's not your typical conditioner, but is a treatment. But you don't really explain specifically what kind of treatment it is or how it works differently.
Why did you only put the #2 on the ends when olaplex does it they put it from root to tip

So I went back 2 weeks later and got more. Ok still not blonde as I wanted so I went back in 6 weeks and so so much hair broke off. On top of it I'm brassy and I'm so upset my hair was in great shape now I'm damaged. She is wanting to bayalage me this week??!! Can you give me some tips I am upset and don't know what to say or do.
