Oracle was a step up and showed a darker and heavier side of Kittie… they tried some stuff in between but their best albums imo, are In The Black and I’ve Failed You. The technicalities of their music evolved tremendously with ever album. So yeah, I’d say if you listen to Spit and then listen to In the Black, they have improved musically and vocally. I’ve been a fan since I saw them live in 2001 and was shocked at how much heavier they sounded live. They can evolve and sound good along the way.

About time they brought the metal back and see how many never stopped listening.

Was at this show. ..perhaps the best part of the show was when this lady in a wheelchair entered the mosh pit and started going off...the crowd later lifted her up. Was by far the most wholesome thing I've ever witnessed at a metal concert.
Their new song “Vultures” was such a nice surprise! Morgan’s vocals sounded so guttural and the music was almost groovy, plus a bomb chorus. Can’t wait for new music!
I saw Kittie at the house of Blues in Chicago on their Spit tour and was so blown away! too bad they went balls out Death metal after that! The first album was so catchy!
sure but don't rule out oracle!!! there are some BANGERS on that one, and i definitely don't think they ended up losing their sound either. especially on the new song vultures, that riff is so reminiscent of their spit days

They like to “road test” the songs because it helps see how the crowd reacts and allows them to adjust it and mature it the more they play. That way when they record it, it’s solid and able to fly through it.
ahh thank you for posting this!! i was at sick new world but i unfortunately missed out on kittie because of that johnathan davis meet and greet, and i didn’t even meet him. it wasn’t even worth it to miss out on kittie. i was so pissed off that i didn’t see kittie live, still pretty salty to this day but i hope to see them live one day!
Kittie kick a$$ live… saw them at Ozzfest 2000 when “Brackish” was all over the airwaves here in the States. And, me and my friend Tim met the vocalist and drummer … they signed my arm 😜
