Based on the 3 new songs we've had the opportunity of hearing so far, I'm optimistic that this new album is going to be among their best. Each song has that signature Kittie sound and definitely draws inspiration from their lengthy catalog of 20+ years but without sounding derivative or following a particular formula. "Eyes Wide Open" - crunchy mid-tempo groove with a hook that just begs one to revisit the unfiltered brilliance of 'Oracle'. Bonus points for the nod to "Severed" lyrics: "Look at you now, eyes wide open, truth begged to be told..." "We Are Shadows" - a nod to 'Until the End' with its simple but monstrous power chord riffing akin to the bridge in "P*** Sugar" and Morgan's soaring vocals with vibes of that album's title track. "Vultures" - a rocking headbanger that builds upon the best elements of 'In the Black' and 'I've Failed You'. Can't wait to hear the studio version for the video single Morgan talked about. To top it off you got Nick Rasculinecz producing the whole thing. This will most certainly be one of Kittie's best albums, but it very well may be one of the best metal albums in recent years. AND THE PHOENIX RISES
Just got back from seeing them at Sonic Temple where they played this exact set list. Amazing show!! They were missing the cool backdrop but the sound was flawless. And what an insane crowd singing along to the lyrics and crowd surfing! I hope everybody gets a chance to experience these ladies live.
I have been a fan of this band since the day they first appeared. Even through all of their member changes Morgan and Mercedes carried on. I'm much older now 59 to be exact I guess once you're a Metalhead always a Metalhead. So glad to see these girls put out some new material and get the publicity that they've always deserved. They've been a Class Act since day one. I'm looking forward to seeing them later this summer it's been a long time.
Sick. I wish they’d go on a bigger tour this summer. No west coast dates whatsoever is a huge bummer. New album sounding like it could be the best since the mid 00’s.
Morgan said in an interview that due to their day jobs and distance between band members they won't be touring for months at a time like they used to. But she mentioned that they really want the few headline shows to be special. I'll be driving 6 hours to see them in August. I have a feeling that there will be more opportunities to see them in the future, hopefully reaching the fans in areas that weren't as lucky this time.
Omg that was a long day from red stage to the gold stage and then spiral stage and then go back to the red stage lol man a lot of walking but hey it was all worth it
Wow, that festival looks lame. Split right down the middle, removing most people from a center stage view and so far back you may as well watch the tv monitors to catch the show. I understand saftey concerns, but i see huge festivals all over the world who don't jack up the crowd that bad. Can only imagine what a ticket cost. That being aaid, glad Kittie is back kicking ass.
OK way too much similar work in the first song way too much similar work in the mix not enough guitars and bass. Vocals are completely I’m gonna say off key whatever that background sound comes in or what the hell is going on there because ain’t nobody else singing on stage, so obviously some kind of sort of track the whole thing seems off and if anybody thinks it sounds good you don’t know what pitchesor key and yeah, maybe it’s terrible for an house guy which I can tell because he doesn’t know how to deal with the vocal switching up to falsetto and pull the sound out drastically. She needs two different microphones to sing in anyway and that stack to Mike and Tan rather not in front of speakers Maybe that’s why there’s phasing
The harmonizing is singing together on 20 minutes is absolutely brutal but it sounds like they’re playing the track and they need to click track to do that. It’s all off the whole thing is off.
Your comment is very difficult to follow but it sounds like your main complaint is the sound and synchronization among the vocals and instruments. Are you basing this solely on the RUclips video or were you there in person? There are other clips of footage from this show taken from different angles and on different devices. I've watched many of them and to my ears the sound varies pretty significantly depending on the factors mentioned above. I was not at this show but will be seeing them at Sonic Temple in 2 weeks. I hope they have proper sound but I also imagine the experience will be drastically different from watching a RUclips video on my phone. By the way, there is more than one person singing at the 20 minute mark. The drummer, Mercedes, can clearly be seen doing backing vocals in the middle of the screen.
the world needs Kittie.

They have been playing "Spit" for 25 years & it still sounds like shit but hey they try & look like they are having fun

Way to much cymbal work

Really hard to follow long with this comment. I can tell you one thing about Kittie is they NEVER play to a track, so you're very wrong there.
@@jordanhurt8645 sorry to tell you but there is truck being played in some of those songs
