Thanks so much for checking out my video and hopefully I can answer your question 😁 it does not have a speaker but it has a headphone jack that can be used. It also has left and right audio out that can be plugged into an amp. As far as beginners goes it is at the top at least for me learning curve. It is a complex machine that has all the capabilities which means a lot to learning. Each groovebox is going to have its own learning challenges. I started with the Novation Circuit and that is a pad based system with no computer screen. It helped me develop a great understanding for timing, building melodies, Bass line along with dump loops. It really depends on your musical background and how much time you are willing to dedicate to learning. What I love about the Key 37 is how amazing the whole MPC system is and the ability to grow within the system. I have only had this machine for 11 days at this point and I am so excited every time I turn it on. Gabe Miller has a video series on grooveboxes that you might find very helpful. This is a personal journey and no matter what machine you end up with it will be great . Sorry I wish there was a simple answer to your question but do the research and decide what is going to be best for your lifestyle. Have a fantastic day and definitely let me know which way you decide to go. I do have a bunch of Circuit Tracks videos that show how that machine is way different but it was the perfect start for me

I looking for something simple to make beats and learn and play as I'm a beginner, does this have built In speakers or can it be plugged into a amp ?
