  • Sometimes tough love is what some of these youth need in order to realize their path. What do you think of this video and is this overboard ? I think if it helps kids foster an epiphany of their future then its working.

Yeah it's sad. I think a lot of the time, when you hear a judge say "you continue smoking weed you'll end up in jail" meaning that those kids already on a bad path need to stop doing things in their life that aids their negative life choices. So "you keep smoking weed" as in "you keep hanging around those bad people doing bad things, then you'll end up here." It's not suggesting if you smoke weed you'll be a criminal . You also normally don't start smoking weed at such a young age, those are the ones that typically graduate to hard drugs later on. Especially if you're in a gang or doing criminal activity .. great reviews and perspectives 🤙

    "Who don't smoke weed?"
Sometimes I feel it would be just as bad (yet good) to lock these kids up in a cell for 48 with nothing to do but read books.

I remember that TV show, it is a program that many correctional institutions have to help assist troubled youth to try to "scare them" into doing the right things. Some people are just beyond saving though.

Great reaction vid......i use to watch this show alot with all these kids thinking that they are tough until they meet someone that's tougher than them , all these kids acts disrespectful because they see there so called friends acting that way , these kids don't realize that there friends don't really care about them as much as they think they do because if they did they wouldn't have them do stupid things that would put them in jail or even worse do or use something that can kill them .....every kid has a choice in what they do in there life but sometimes them wanting to be a part of the group of people that they chill with is alot more stronger than there common sense .......By the way irina you got gorgeous eyes and you look great with red

In my hometown, when we were in second grade (8-9 yr olds), they took the kids from the poor schools to the jail for a “field trip”. They do a milder version of this. I didn’t get body slammed or hurt, but I did get yelled at. The cop was talking, and I started pointing at the tv and horse laughing. It was the cameras to the cells. Two inmates stripped naked and started throwing poop at all the other inmates. I made sure the whole class saw it.

This is a reality show where these teens, usually from ages 12 to 18, turn to a life of crime and do stuff like stealing, disrespecting their parents, getting into fights, joining gangs, doing drugs or alcohol, and a bunch of other stuff that a kid should not be doing. It even gets to a point where their parents are overwhelmed and can't do anything about it. To help these poor parents, the teens go into this jail program where the officers yell and discipline them to show them the consequences of their actions, as well as the interior of the prison and prison life, as well as confrontation with actual prisoners. So you see, these officers and prisoners are not yelling at these kids to intimidate them, they're doing it to help teach them a lesson and how their actions are going to put them in jail for long sentences, for life, or even death! These kids think they're tough and that the show is fake, until they get a taste of reality inside a prison. At the end, most of these kids break down into tears and they want to go back to their parents and apologize for what they did. :)👍👍👍

4:47 some states in the U.S. has weed illegal and some states don’t which would make you face jail time anyway, but what she is saying is that using weed will make you have unintelligent decisions which can lead to jail.

Almost all of these children are a product of their environment. Low income neighborhoods, lack of parenting (usually single parent homes with no money or a drug addicted mother), and surrounded by a never ending cycle of drug and gang violence, crime, and poor education.
Of course, everybody is responsible for the choices they make, and the consequences that come with them, but for many in America, they were never given the knowledge or tools to make the right decision.
Aggressive discipline like seen in this video, or severe punishment via a prison sentence where you're surrounded by more violence and crime and sure to repeat your crimes upon being freed is the answer we've always had in America. True rehabilitation is rare here. We even punish drug addicts by imprisoning them.
Our prison and legal system are some of the most flawed aspects in the United States, unfortunately. Which is sad, because we have the resources to improve it.

I've been to prison. If I was a kid and that guy would have got in my face like that he would have got shoved right into those benches behind him. Especially if I was a kid. Hell, if my parents put me on this show I would have acted out just for the sake of acting out.

This program has come under controversy for child abuse. Only in states where corporal punishment is allowed for children is this legal, and even in those states this sort of thing pushes legal boundaries.
Me personally, I find what they do to these kids to be sickening.
For some at-risk personality types, this approach works. For most other, this approach to youth crime prevention only makes things worse. It encourages youth to grow up with an even greater resentment of authority than they already have.

Think i can speak for all Americans, there is a really serious problem of no proper role models or positive influences on a scale needed to help these young guys in the US and help guide them to make a positive life. Granted I wonder if maybe its kinda like that across the world.
