- Here's another performance by Hank Williams III. On October 21, 1995, Crook & Chase (Lorianne Crook & Charlie Chase) came to the Mel Tillis Theatre in Branson, MO to promote their new book. Joining them onstage for the festivities were Mel Tillis, Glen Campbell, Charley Pride and Hank Williams III. Here is Hank III singing, "Jambalaya". All of the performers that day were backed by The Statesiders and The Statesider Singers (including The Stutterettes). Hank III was 22 years old in this clip.
Scary how much he resembles Hank Sr.
The resemblance is uncanny! I've seen him sing songs of his granddaddy's. This is the first one that actually sounded just like Hank S, tho other's are close. Considering the type of music he usually sings, that's quite an accomplishment! God bless him from straying from his usual genre to honor his granddaddy❤❤

It's amazing that music can last for 3 generations like that, I have only known that in one other family (the makems, sarah makem and her husband in the first generation, tommy makem and his brother jack makem in the second, and the makem brothers, rory, conor and shane Makem, the 3 sons of tommy makem, in the 3rd)

I know that just like his dad this isn't exactly his style and neither of them really wanted to just be covering Hank all the time or trying to replace him, but damn they're both so good at it.

I started listening to the music of Hank sr as soon as I kne2 what music was on the opry. I loved patsy Cline Roy acuff red divine dell wood and po4ter Wagner. I love the style of trio and his voice. I can listen to his music all note and love it. I'm looking for several of his albums and do appreciate the way he treats his fans. Hard to find now days it seems. Most of the singers today walk all over their fans no matter what they try to càll it. I call it rude. Everyone of them wouldn't be where they are without fans right. I'm looking forward to seeing trio in person. The ultimate performance would be him and whiskey Meyers on same stage . WOW

He played it quite good but the real Hank III turned out later and he was huge better then. All three of the Hanks are great in their own special way
