    STORYLINE:
Family members of Nelson Mandela continued to arrive on Sunday at the Pretoria Heart hospital where the former South African president is believed to be being treated for a lung infection.
Among those visiting on Sunday were Mandela's granddaughter Ndileka Mandela, his daughter Makaziwe Mandela, and his former wife Winnie Mandela.
In front of the Pretoria Mediclinic Heart Hospital meanwhile, well wishers left notes as police maintained their presence at the building's entrances.
There has been no official update on Mandela's condition since Thursday, when the government said he was improving though remained in serious condition.
His grandson Mandla Mandela said on Saturday that when he saw his grandfather in Pretoria earlier that day, there had been a visible improvement in his health.
The leader of South Africa's anti-apartheid movement, Mandela spent 27 years in prison during white racist rule before being freed in 1990 and becoming South Africa's first black president in 1994.
Mandela, who is 94 years old, was treated in a hospital several times in recent months, with the last discharge coming on April 6 after doctors diagnosed him with pneumonia and drained fluid from his lung area.
He has been particularly vulnerable to respiratory problems since contracting tuberculosis during his 27-year imprisonment under apartheid.
Police retaliated against the young marchers with live ammunition and Hector Pieterson, a youth of 13 years old, was killed in the crossfire.
