That buff to Hakuryu though. It will deal more damage with fewer strikes and save more planes. Deplaning a CV will be nearly impossible with this rework....and I suspect that is actually WG's main goal.
Played a Lightning (T8) in a random game a few days ago, got viciously uptiered (obviously). Midway instantly spotted me, focused on me, and killed me. Smoke and AA no help. CVS are so broken.
It's one of the most obnoxious things to have a CV drop fighters just out of reach and keep your whole flank spotting for zero effort.
Interceptors are normally high altitude bomber interceptors, so having them fly low seems very unrealistic, and not really worth it. Also, that pretty much makes Interceptor useless, since their major change is that they can chase enemy planes over enemy ships and not be shot down. Like, yeah, ships AA would attack interceptors if they were in range IRL, but this seems like a case of completely nerfing interceptors into nothingness to me. Give us a better secondary skill in replacement for this? lmfao. I wish. I'd love to play Graf as she was intended again.

Yes the dds will be harder to deal with but maybe just maybe all u back line campers will get just a little closer and support ur dds can u imagine a little team play goes a long way this will make it easier for dds to deal with subs to less chance of getting cv spotted and insta deleted when hunting a sub
Yup, the lack of support from teammates makes playing dds a painful experience for me.

They should do 1 change to the spotting. Make it so that it behaves like being in a hurricane. You can see the ship on the minimap, you can't see it though the diopter, or even better, update last detected (by the planes) location after the planes land in the CV, to make it fair and historically accurate.
As a DD main, this seems like a BUFF to CVs. DDs already have 2 km spotting.

Let's be honest all they needed to do was the patrol fighter nerf that's currently planned and a big buff to detection by air to all BBs and cruisers and some damage nerf here and there. The whole CV and AA rework is unnecessary and overkill. AA cruisers being a no fly zone and being able to blind CVs is a stupid thing. I don't see DDs being able to push all the way and spot all game from the back with low risk being a healthy meta and I'm a DD main.
The cv will be nerfed because they do to much damage and to much spotting , and now they cant see the ship they are bombing if it uses defensive fire .
And to think i felt bad for the cv players back in the rts days XD!
Back to destroyers going unspotted all game :( those were dark days
