@A1mushroom In my oppinion, the lighter the color the better, it provides for a much more bright working environment. We painted all floor plates light grey for the same reason. The T/Cs seem pretty standard to me :) You can run as many engines as you like, from 1 to 4. When sitting standby in fair weather we often had just one engine running and only one prop turning. The L-type have a fairly large windage area, and therefor take quite a lot of thrust to hold with athwartships wind.
@stevenchaplin86 Thanks for your comment :) Yeah, the L-type are relatively big ships. Sometimes when moving around in the ER you almost forget it is a supply vessel, and not a bigger cargo ship :)
The only ER i have been in where you must put on shoecovers BEFORE you enter!! Had a guided tour of the vessel on New Years Eve. Perhaps you were onboard then?
+Kenny Macleod Yeah we did try to keep it very clean :D I left the Laser in early 2012 and have been serving on other ships since, so I was not on board when you visited, but good to hear that the "new guys" keep up the good work ;)
Haha, good point! :D No actually I was the duty engineer, and shot this video during my evening inspection round. Engineers normally work from 8 to 17.
Im not a fan of the sick green colour, much prefer the blue of Ulstein Bergens, but you get used to it. Though i must admit the cream is an easier colour to keep clean than blued white. Quite dinky T/C's for engines of there size. Can you run two engines for eco, one / shaft? The laser is a big boat and looks like she takes a bit of power to hold position while picking up the PCP's, just an observation while sitting at the other leg of the rig waiting for the crane to get round to us.
I can confirm that almost 10 years on it still looks the exact same condition, so so clean
Great white noise...the crew must be super relaxed...
It does have a certain relaxing effect :D
Beautiful clean engine room!!! Nice!
very nice ,thank you for posting! Put more videos from the ship! From the accomodation area and from the bridge! Thank you!

@Smithyards Indeed it is :) We try our best to keep it kleen though, makes for the best working environment.
@FlintF Thank you! We do try to keep it clean and tidy in the engine room, but she is only 1½ years old, and that means a lot.
i was onboard it in 2022. And it looks the same

@Ebbeboy I'm jealous; I wish we could get the time to keep things that clean, organised, and in working order. Very impressive.
Super video!
Beautiful AHT!
@Ebbeboy I will try and post a vid of our ER when I get off. Its quite shocking how much smaller it is!
Una Sala de Máquinas muy limpia, grande e interesante ,buen vídeo para ver los detalles de la misma .
Haha, good point! :D

Amazing.
@gigicul21 My next trip starts end of April and I will be onboard for 4 or 5 weeks, depending on the charter.
very impressive. I'm 3/E on a converted AHTS, and our ER is tiny in comparison, ME's are Wartsila 6L26's......little babies compared to those things!
@gigicul21 Thank you! I'll shoot some more vids on my next trip then :)
Wonderful Video- Perfect
when will be the next trip , and How long will be your next trip?
any purifying equipment other than those autofilters?Do the main engines use heavy or light fuel oil?
Very nice and I hope sometime join for Your Vessel.God Bles.
