I am always so surprised at all of the smiling faces. They just don't seem to see you as a foreigner. It was wonderful to see the rest of the family too. Keep up the great filming, I enjoy it all. Hugs to you all!!
I always enjoy your videos Darren. I like before I even watch. Ananda is growing up to be a very handsome young man. God's blessing to you and your family.
I live in Thailand and have done since April, 2012 and I eat this food nearly every day without an issues. The last time I had food poisoning it was from a world-famous chicken franchise in Australia. Food poisoning can happen anywhere. Restaurants and food vendors in Thailand buy commercially prepared ice. It is cheap (around 30kg for 30 baht) and is made from filtered water. It's not worth their time to make the ice themselves. I have this ice in drinks every other day without issue. Having said that if a vendor doesn't look hygienic I won't buy there, I'll go elsewhere, better safe than sorry, and that's worked for me so far.
Hi Darren, hope you and your family are well. My wife and I are watching your old videos to get excited for our holiday and have to say we do miss your videos. No one else has the production quality of your videos, nor the appreciation for Thai food that you have and they just ramble. I know you are busy these days but you know you could always upload once a month/every few months, hint hint 😄
Nice work Darren. U picked up a lot from u friend. Massive improvement. I like the close-up shots of the Thai and other stuff. U have come a long way. I'm soon up to date with almost all of u vlogs.
Missed a couple working the garden down for the cold weather. We've already had snow and snowing again today. I like the new format of the stationary camera catching the whole fam.together lol. The food was different and looked fab as always. First time I saw those huge pork steaks toward the end and I would definitely jump on those instead of the kabobs ROFL Thanks Darren !
Hi Darren, great video! You always make the food look so delicious. My fiance and I will be in Phuket November 8th thru 16th and I'm so looking forward to trying these foods. Thought it would be fun to meet and maybe grab a bite to eat one evening. Let me know if your interested. Keep up the great videos, I look forward to them. :)
Hi Lisa, thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. Unfortunately we came back to Krabi from Phuket last week and now it's back to work for us, so we won't be able to get there in November. If you come to Krabi though, drop me a line :) Thanks for the message, I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the videos. Hope you have an awesome holiday!
Hi Darren my partner and I really enjoy your videos and have watched nearly all of them. Your videos are the best representation of Thailand on RUclips! Keep up your good work and best wishes to you and your family. Just a tip - in the last few videos you have been paning your camera a bit fast and some more still shots of the food you pan over would be awesome.
I miss Thailand so much! I wish i could go there again but becuse of the virus i can't :( But i happy too see that you are enjoyng the food and it gives me happines and it looks soooo good. Also miss the food like crazy.
Second trip to Thailand coming up in a couple of weeks. We get by with a little Thai but would love you to do a video on some basic things like, how to ask for pork, chicken and beef. Along with some Thai words to help the uninitiated. Great video and audio in this video. Enjoy all your videos. All the best.
Hi, Unfortunately Thai is a difficult language for most Westerners, including me, and my Thai is not perfect. I work as a teacher professionally and morally I could never teach something if I could not do it properly myself. Many times when I got "Thai lessons" from Westerners I found that Thai people couldn't understand me. Now I only get lessons from native Thai speakers and I would only recommend learning Thai in that way. Thankfully there are hundreds of thousands of RUclips videos with Thai lessons by Thai native speakers. I did a search for "ordering food in Thai" and there are many lessons on that subject from Thai native speakers. Here are the search results, I hope the videos there help ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=HOT+TO+ORDER+FOOD+IN+THAI I'm glad you're enjoying the videos, have a great time in Thailand!
Very good deep fry food. I love this kind of food any food deep healthy foods thank you for sharing your beautiful video I to watch your video thanks. 5-1-19,
If the fish are small you can generally eat the bones, just don't swallow the bones from big fish. In Thailand lots of fish is cooked on the bone to preserve more of the flavour. I've been living here since April 2012 and I haven't had any problems caused by fish bones yet. I hope that helps.
Hi Darren another on the mark vid thanks for sharing. Can you do me a favour say thank you in Thi slowly every time I say it it sounds rubbish I need to practice. Change of plan for our travels we are flying into Bangkok then travelling down to Hua Hin have you been there. Cheers
Thanks Susan! I wouldn't recommend learning Thai from me, but I'm sure this link will be helpful ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=how+to+say+thank+you+in+Thai No, I've not yet been to Hua Hin. Thanks for watching.
