I am having technical difficulties so I am sorry about this video being late!
Pizza my cat was recently spayed at a mobile vet clinic and I recorded the first week of her recovery.
I hope this video was informational for you and helped you if you have a cat that is getting spayed or will be in the future!

Yes and make sure to contact your locak Humane society if you want to help fetal cats .... they will fix for free, but your time and energy trapping is priceless
I really want to neuter my male cat of 6 months but my dad keeps insisting that its cruelty and since he has anger issues I get really scared of him. I fear that my cat wont live long and will run away. What do I do?

My cat got spayed on Friday, she hates the cone and is already wild, I'm scared to death she'll rip the stitches open. I haven't left her side. No sleep or anything

So Nyla (my cat) had her surgery like 6 months ago and the whole process was hell, but lucky nothing extreme happened, I bought her a medical suit from Amazon and that helped so much, she healed and she was back to normal. Keep that collar on and my suggestion Is get a suit, monitor her constantly and just know it'll be okay, I hope she's great, and I hope the time flies quickly, sending lots of support and love
My cat was miserable for a day or two, poor thing. Day three she was back to running around as usual. She recovered great

Gaby Vigil Yeah that happens. My cats wanted more attention also after they got spayed. It went away after a few weeks so I would take advantage of her being all cuddly while you can.

My kitten died 48 hours after surgery from aspiration Pneumonia. In hind sight I wish I never sent her in. But my local council makes it compulsory at 3 months. She died in my arms at the vet clinic. They of course aren't taking any responsibility. My daughter wasn't coping too well, and we ended up adopting another kitten.
They don’t have to take responsibility because they go over that form on how there can be complications and you have to sign it before the pet goes in. That’s essentially taking blame off of them. I’m sorry about your kitty. That’s so sad.
This got me to be at ease..I am skeptical on how my baby is behaving. I want her to recover as good as pizza did! Thank You for making this video! 🙏

My kitten got spayed a week ago. I felt so bad to have to crate her but she's so active. She started jumping around and i didn't want her to hurt herself. Its been a week and i saw your video when I was looking at post op pictures. Ty for this. It really helps.

My cats spay surgery got complicated and had to get an emergency one three days latter. Now she had one week of recovery since the last surgery. I love my cat.

My experience has been very different. The first cat i got from a rescuer , she came the day after her surgery. She was totally chill, wanted to explore and healed very nicely. She had incison on her side.
My other cat got spayed Saturday around 1 pm i think because they took her inside around 12pm. When i picked her up around 5pm, she was sleepy, drugged. Peed while she was under drug. Would try to follow me evn when she cannot walk. Next morning 5am, she was talking a lot and we opened bathroom to bring her out. I didn't put her inside crate because i didn't want her to spoil herself and sit in that. She is currently being very talkative. M trying to refrain her from climbing but she doesn't listen, so i just stop her before she jumps. I put surgical suit on her that she is able to remove. I keep an eye on her whenever she is awake and let her be with me. Then i put suit on her and she sleeps . Always check her incision site every 3 hours or so. Luckily, she is not interested in chewing her stitches.
I also think her stitches is inside or something and she has incision on her underbelly area not on side. I don't know what to expect . She is being unpredictable.
My Vet had me bring Kitty in at 8am and I was able to get her the next day after 12p...they want to be sure all is well. Incision was small and today is 7 days..she is doing fantastic...Friday she gets stitches out....hope I can get her into carrier...lol :)

My little kitty is 8 months old and got spayed yesterday. Dropped her off at 8am-picked up at 7pm. She threw up once from not eating anything so gave her a bit of wet food on a spoon mixed with some water. She hasnt used litter box yet and is just kind of a lump right now from pain med.

Thank you for sharing this. My cats are anything but docile. I think im going to get a onesie for the female..although her incision doesnt look like that. Its smaller and i was told her stitches are internal and they then used a surgical glue. She plays and the scar doesn't seem to be affected i dont know if thats a good thing lol
Aw they are so cute! Love the idea of the little onsie to protect her stiches I've just recently got a 11 week kitten and she always meows when shes left alone do have any tips on what I can do?
Fatima Sky If you have room for another kitten then id recommend a friend :) If not then just give her time, after a while she should get used to the new place and being alone
You just have to get her used to being on her own. Slowly leave her alone for more and more time. I didnt do this with my kitten when I got her and now she wants all my attention all the time for EVERYTHING. So if you dont have another kitty for a playmate then definetly wean her off the attention giving.
How long did it take for the shaved fur on her belly to grow back?

my cat had surgery yesterday, now its 6pm the next day and she has yet to use the litter box should I be worrying? My vet isn't in till the morning. Is this normal for a spayed cat
She doesn't need a cone? Mine has the cone on her head because we took it off to let her eat and immediately tried licking her wounded area which is really not good. My heart breaks for my kitty and idk what to do

What size onesie did you need to use?
I have a kitten but we were not sure about the gender. And we took her for spaying. The doctor without checking the gender did the incision.and later told us it's a male. My cat is under anaesthesia and I am freaking out when he will recover. Pls help

My mom's friend got her cat's stitches open. After that we learned to keep ours in the cage right after having them spayed.

I had to remove everything from a smaller bedroom and just have a crate in there. She jumped the first day hence the move.
My female kitten returned from her surgery and she would not wear her e-collar (cone) and she was active , she was very alert, I was given painkillers syringes to treat her pain I chose to mix it on her wet food
She finally settled down to rest and if she’s anything like I am when I get surgery I used to hurt the day after so I’ll give her syringes mixing up with her food to make her feel better 24 hours before I can do for her

Verix It is perfectly normal but if the cat is vomitting a large amount constantly for more then a few hours and is not eating or drinking you should contact your veterinarian :)
my cat got spayed and she came so energetic. She kept jumping and running and its been 12 days now and i think it’s infected. Its like a little brown and it looks like its peeling off. Should i’ll call my vet?

Experienced the same issue. My boyfriend and I just couldn't take it any longer. Let's not forget besides the yowling and butt in the air, she started leaving little puddles of urine on our furniture. Had no choice but to get it done. Poor thing is recovering now. Hopefully you were able to have your cat spayed and that it went well!

Im helping feral cats... day 2 was helpful here. Im on day 3, the kennel is larger but female is peeing, i think seeing poop is a good sign. Hoping for 2mrw

AnimalPet Lover6 for the pain after surgery I gave my cat infant's motrin and then dosed it according to her weight.
Vets dont usually give pets medication for pain which kind of sucks because *anyone* coming out of surgery is going to feel pain once it wears off.
Good thing is my vet didnt use stitches but instead used surgical glue so it wouldnt be itchy for her since my cat picks at *EVERYTHING*

We are on day three, the surgery suit was great! My gurl recovering much easier and better than older boy. He went agressive and insane for two days straight then he was fine. I had no idea bad reactions like that were a thing 😳 might just be males
My cat got spayed yesterday and she was wobbly and pretty hyper when she got home. Today though, she's been sleeping constantly with her eyes open and she hasn't eaten either. It's still only a little over 24 hours since her surgery so they say not eating/sleeping is normal but I'm very worried. Should I be concerned?
Hey😅. I know it’s been a year, but how is your cat doing now?. I got my cat spayed last night. And she’s been sleeping and laying down all day. Hasn’t used the litter box yet. But she eats her meals thankfully. I want to know if it’s normal that she’s laying down all day 😢 she looks miserable 💔
Do you have to use shredded paper as a litter instead of normal litter for a male cat after surgery
Regular litter should be fine, just check the area to make sure everything is healing well every day and keep the litter box clean

I got my cat spayed a week ago today and she was fine the first couple of days, back to eating and drinking and jumping around like normal. but for the last 3 days she has stopped eating, drinking and just lays under my bed. I just had to force feed her water through a syringe. I'm devastated right now. I called the clinic that she got the spaying done at but they basically told me i'm on my own. I've called vets and animal hospitals but they all charge 100s of dollars. I'm so scared.
Omg the same thing happened to my little gurl! She got spayed last Saturday and she was doing fine 2 days after the surgery but on the third day she lost appetite (altho she's drinking water) and didn't poop until this morning. It can be really frightening. The clinic that you've had her spayed at should at least do you the courtesy of checking up on their patient. Also, check for signs of infection on the incision and signs of fever on her as well
@@dotiemodanza6563 i'm so sorry! It's the worst having to watch our babies go through so much pain! Ive been checking her incision sight and there is no discoloration, it's warm but no different from her entire abdomen and upper chest area. There is a small lump at the incision sight but the clinic said that that was normal, it's her body absorbing the stitches. I don't think she has a fever, the tips of her ears are pretty cold.
@@Back2OneProductions i hope your baby heals well...one good thing that happened to her this morning was her being able to poop this morning, because I noticed she seemed to be relieved after. Gosh, I hope they feel better soon. I can't stand seeing my baby suffer like that.

@@starvi9 Hi! It could be really scary at this time, so please continue to monitor your baby. My little girl is doing fine, Vet was able to remove the stitches after ten days, so just don't let her touch the incision and it'll heal just fine
My male cat was neutered 5 days ago and was fine the next two days. I was giving him his pain medication they had given me and after surgery, he was eating and drinking fine. However, on day three after surgery, I noticed his appetite growing smaller and it’s been three days and he hasn’t touched his food, not even treats and is barely drinking his water. I’m a bit worried if I should contact the vet or if this will pass. I also haven’t been able to get a clear answer, because mainly the result I often get is whether or not he eats or drinks 24 hrs after surgery. He’s really sleepy and isn’t as active. Please help me...
I'm going to start by saying I am not a professional in any way and if you are unsure of your pets health you should give your vet a call. Now for my opinion, if it was my cat I would stop giving him the pain killers, I find that it usually affects their mood and appetite. After 24 hours off of the medication, if he is still not doing better, I would make a check up appointment with the vet to make sure there is no infection. I hope this helps 🙂

Not sure the onesie is a great idea as the stitches need to be exposed to the air to stay dry and not become infected.
My vet told me to use a baby onesie. We ended up buying a surgery recovery suit as she escaped the onesie.

My cat has become so affectionate with my wife & I since her surgery 4 days ago. However our dog which was her best friend is now her perceived enemy who she attacks on sight. How can we stop this? The dog is so placid she doesn't fight back she's emotionally upset by this recent change its ashame for her. What can we do?

I just got my 18 month old baby boy Aki surgery on Thursday. Poor darling the state the disgusting vet left him omg. I brought him home n wiped his leg n tail he urinated, they couldn't bother to wipe him Easipet care London is Shit. Anyways he was normal trying to run m jump on chairs from day one but fully recover now it's now day 3, his appetite was back he had 3 meat stick thurs afternoon. Lady instructed me to boil him half a chicken fillet which I did for dinner. He was really thirsty. Luckily my poor baby is back to normal n growl at me yesterday probably in pain. They didn't give painkiller n the wound is left open to heal? They didn't give a cone my baby was licking there luckily I'm training as a nurse so I kept it clean so he doesn't get infected. Once he came n slept on my hand like 3min n his leg was open so I blew on it trying to dry the area so it heals fast. When I got him my husband said it stinks like dead animal, I only realised it was urine when I got him home n cleaned🙄 I have luv for my baby boy raised him since he was nearly 2 months. I slept in the same room since Thursday to monitor him during night n he urinated n his bowel moved Friday, so all good n normal❤️ thank god. I feel bad that I had to make this choice but prior to this I paid £300 for his bladder infection.

michael 69 Honestly getting my cat spayed was the best decision I made. She kept vomiting when she went in heat and losing weight, she got really unhappy. Since we got her spayed she has been a lot nicer and gained a healthy amount of weight back. You should spay :) It also prevents them from having babies which is of course a plus.

No it’s kind of like when a human sleeps a lot after having surgery just make sure you watch her and make sure she’s OK
Just had my first neuter experience yesterday and they put a cone around her neck. Today is her second day after surgery, Do you think she would do better without the cone?
I kept the cone on, I tried taking it off and immediately she started licking the wound and nibbling at it. I have read so many other comments that some people did not have a cone at all!!! I would be better safe than sorry, what did you end up doing? (just noticed this comment is 5 months old)

Mine will be neutered and spayed within this month... One male, two female... I am scared but I have to do it I guess...
Neutering is ok .My male cats were normal after I got them back home.I am scared for my female cat

sanam sony the biggest aftermath of spaying is your cat cant breed no more 😂😂 and also they will be free of cancer (in their reproductive organs) and no more howling and yowling and spraying when they are in heat.

Sorry for the late reply! My cat continuously ripped her cone off, I put her in a onsie to prevent her from getting to her incision.
After struggling with my cat and parents we finally decided to spay her. It's going to be after 3 weeks wish me luck people I'm really worried about her health (it was me asking to spay her )

I think spaying is cruel, in a way.
Monika M In a way it can be as you are putting your cat through a surgery but if you look at the bigger picture it helps a lot of cats behavior wise and helps lower overpopulation. As an example, before spaying the cat in this video she was constantly vomitting and was terrified of everything, afterwards she stopped vomitting and I can actually pet her without being attacked.
There are very serious conditions like pyometra (an infection of the uterus) that can cause very costly emergency surgery or even be fatal (been there, done that). Also risks like uterine or ovarian cancer is eliminated altogether.
