  • This video shows our UK1 air filter unit as supplied in a 'starter pack'. It shows how to access the filter block and how to operate the unit. In addition, the video shows a test shelter that we have built to demonstrate the unit as a working system. We hope that this provides information that will help individuals and families to build an effective sealed shelter. The unit will work in a sealed 'inner refuge' surrounded by dense material, a converted basement, safe room or even purpose built bunker. The link to the product webpage is here: www.rvasynergi...

    Could this be used as ventilation only, if you sealed the filter block in plastic and didn't have it installed?

    What kind of pressure valve are u using to exhaust the air?

    • @RVASynergiesLtd
      @RVASynergiesLtd  Год назад +1

      In our test shelter we used a basic plumbing 'air admittance valve' from a hardware store. Or, no exhaust valve at all, with air exhausting through any tiny leaks/gaps in our tarpaulin cover. Both work. But in a solid leakless shelter you might want a more sophisticated exhaust valve. We are working on designing a precision valve here.

    Your online pdf and website seem to contradict each other. One states 100cfm the other 65cfm. Do either of these flow rate represent the filtered air flow rate or are these just maximum flow rates i.e. without the filter block with zero duct pressure loss?

    • @RVASynergiesLtd
      @RVASynergiesLtd  Год назад +1

      Hi, we under-state the actual flow rate of filtered air out of the unit as 65 CFM. We do that to be safe and provide a practical output that is more realistic to cover a range of set ups once pipes etc are connected. The actual flow rate at max power (6A) with battery fully charged in Feet per minute measured at the exit of the unit with a manometer is 1500 measured at 100mm output duct as 1500 ft/min x 0.0666 (Area of duct in ft sq) = 99.9 CFM. *the internal fan is actually 270CFM (With no filter block in front of it).

    Looks like a good product. Thought about contacting Atlas Survival ?

      @RVASynergiesLtd  Год назад

      HI Greg, thanks but i have not contacted Ron from Atlas yet. I think he only sells £15-20K Swiss made filter units. The thing about that is, most people are making small improvised shelters and can't fit or afford the Swiss one. This is why we made the UK1. So almost all can fit and afford it!

      ADD A HAND CRANK THEN IT BE GOOD

    • @RVASynergiesLtd
      @RVASynergiesLtd  Год назад +1

      @@Bikepacking Thanks. I found though, that pedal generators are much easier to power it than hand cranks. I've tried some hand cranks and they are quite hard to turn to get consistent power especially for longer periods or for kids to do. Pedal generators are much easier. So i tend to suggest all options to customers.

    • @RVASynergiesLtd
      @RVASynergiesLtd  11 месяцев назад +2

      @@pepepleaseplay Yes, it might be because he feels that this product would be useless in a nuclear attack. Indeed it would not save him if he were in blast zone, because his whole house could disappear. The product becomes useful if you are not in a blast zone, and you are making a fallout shelter. It's a very common misconception that 'no one would survive a nuclear attack'. In fact most people would survive the initial attacks. It is then one's own choice. Survive and risk dying from radiation exposure days or weeks later, or survive without radiation exposure (much much better). After that, there is one main problem. Other people. But Survivors can at least try to live in hope of rebuilding society.
