He's been playing in Denver clubs for the last 25 years....I could not be happier or more proud of a local artist; nobody deserves this success more than Nate,,,, I sat in on drums with him many times over the years.....
He'll be back in those clubs soon enough.
@@jerodmorgan how do you mean?
That’s fantastic!
He’s the man!!🤘🏽🤘🏽
I knew Nate and Joe back in the day when they were in Born In The Flood. Who knows, maybe you and I met each other once.
I love when bands sound the same live as on the record, that's how you know they are true artists.
I love the record, but think they sound betterl live...and that's rare.
Agreed.
Same thoughts
I’ve seen him twice and as a live act he’s in my top 5 and I’ve probably seen 60 different bands over the years so so good.
I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic. So just in case you're not then I completely disagree. I'd want any band to be much better live than the record....that's when you really know they're a great artist.
Popular radio DJs should make a note... THIS is REAL music!
Jake and Elwood Blues are so proud of this..
Finally someone with a Blues Brothers comment. This is totally Blues Brothers stuff.
Blues brothers born it moves me
Needs Elwood blowing that harp and Jake dancing
The official recording to this is in homage to the end sequence of he Blues Brothers movie, if i remember the quote. Superb stuff!
I used to work a hospital ward with serious DT patients... It is just as he described it. This song has to be based on personal knowledge to be so freaking accurate with the mood swings and emotion. Brilliant
Hearing a voice that sounds just as good live as on the radio is rare and very refreshing. Kudos.
I’ve heard this song at least 400 times, maybe more.
This version is the best. Period.
That trumpet solo adds so much spice to this song
perfectly sung, perfectly played, perfectly danced, perfectly filmed
We need more shit like this on the radio.
hell yeah we do!
They play this on the alternative station where I live and it's great
+ZA_Survivalist AMEN brother !
+ZA_Survivalist Actually we need less shit on the radio, this isn't shit :)
+C Votion same here. 101.1WKQX
This is the most infectious song I have ever heard. Fantastic.
+Phillip David bullshit..... give me a drink :)
+Phillip David So?
Get it yourself
+Cybdiver Underwater Hahaha 😂😂👍🏽
Cybdiver Underwater rick braun
My sister & I were I big fan of this song.
RIP Karen.I miss you so much!
First time I heard this song, it came up on my automix playlist after listen to my classic playlist
I swore this song was from 60 years ago
I love how the crowd couldn't cope with clapping in time. :D
+Sour Crouch & The Xenophobes It's amazing how even people who really enjoy music can't clap to a beat.
+Sour Crouch & The Xenophobes It took them about 3 seconds to lose the beat. Hilarious.
+Sour Crouch & The Xenophobes It isn't easy clapping that fast on the off-beat. I play guitar and it took quite a bit of concentration to clap on the & instead of the beat.
its hard to clap with an offbeat and even harder for a whole crowd to get claps timed perfectly. some people clap after everyone else cus they cant hold a beat and so react and that effect cascades

He’s one of the coolest looking frontmen around. The whole band are fantastic!
Brilliant song, immediate smile to your face. What music should be all about.
Good luck getting this song out of your head for the rest of the day.
yes!!!
i cant!!!!
+Havaseet2 Day? It's been a week!
everyday all day...just that song!
It's been months and I still can't...haha
once you've heard this, you have to re listen to it almost everyday, best song ever
This is why i love "Later… with Jools Holland" because im a metalhead, rocker, glam rocker, thrase metal fanboy, but because he gets so many different types of artists, bands on playing live i come across tunes, artists like this and i enjoy
Absolutely spot on man!
Literally one of the most iconic songs ever
Damn better than the recorded version! Love that trumpet solo!
Absolutely aced it.
Who can turn their ears away from this sound?
Coming to UK on tour this year, so hope to finally get a live show. Can't wait 😎😎
This song is on FIRE!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Pretty sure the trumpet player is my spirit animal.
I showed this to my music degree class the other day - amazing stuff.
It's first time I seen nathaniel love from 🇮🇪
Love the trumpet player (his dancing😅)
Dena Sucks Chris Tucker
Yes. You can tell he played in the church band with a gospel choir. I feel like this band is somewhere between Louisiana and Mississippi.
Me too
He sings from so deep in his soul..I love it !!
Holy crap they sound awesome live. Good old sounds!!
Used as the theme music for a comedy programme called Two Doors Down. Broadcast by Bbc Scotland. This has introduced me to Nathaniel's music.
Great song! Shows how much brass can add to a tune.
Finally some good music in this Generation!
mo blacc Damn right!!!
Only song I genuinely prefer live to the recorded one, and seeing the guy singing it really brings the whole meaning of the song out. Listening to their music is an occasion is what I'm saying, it can't be hidden in a playlist like a lot of my music
+S Miller Couldn't agree more! The version on the records is very good, but really can't compete with this performance. Thing is, this is a common thing among bands & artists that have performed on Jools. A certain aura.
I'm sure the technicians at the BBC adds to it as well :)
DoctorGoodfellow I think his dancing and just matching his voice with his fashion sense and the beard! ;)
Great version. I feel the same about the live version of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. Never felt the power of that tune till I heard it live!
one of those moments when you know it's gunna be a belter in the first few seconds!
Still my favorite! 10 years and counting.
THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!!
Couldn't love this more. I could listen to it all day, and watch him dance. Brilliant.
His dancing is Awesome
Late to the party as usual. The best live recording I've ever heard. Quality is impeccable!
Welcome to the club. I always find trends 4 years after they happen...
Yeah the recording quality is insane.
My friends dad told me that it's pretty underwhelming being in the live crowd though because the sound is mainly set up for the recording purposes rather than the studio audience.
This song has a level of depth and layering that hasn't been created in a long time. Maybe ever.
This embodies everything I love about later live with Jooles Holland.
+dave tucker I know - it's like those 'lucky bags'/'goodie bags' you'd get as a kid and, though you'd never know what you'd get in them, it was always full of nice surprises! :)
That's the best description of this show I've ever heard. You just hit the nail on the head. One of the best shows in existence anywhere on earth. I love it :)
You can use that quote.
Just hope they don't spoil it with the new change of production team, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it i say!
These guys have such a refreshing sound. My foot is tapping away at work. They remind me of Blood, Sweat, and Tears!
Seriously good live.
love his footwork at the end there....you go dude !!
This shit reminds me of thanksgiving break with momma’s cousins in the south. Hell yeah!
That trumpet seals it.
If ever a song summed up my last 18 months....
Bloody love it!!! I'm a fan. So catchy and how much talent do these guys have.
I play this daily now, how can you not like this.....
Is real!!
This song was my intro the band; now I'm hooked!

A true masterpiece
After watching the documentary Austin to Boston and hearing his story and, at the time, him contemplating even quitting music, it's so great to see the success he's having.
CAN'T. STOP. LISTENING.
Hes such a great singer
