Similar thing near me this year someone has cleared out some bushes in a quiet corner of our local park and put up a fence, made a little yard, a garden shed, a fire place-place to cook they even put a water butt on the nearby building for water and painted on the side of that building "stop snitching" they probably bathe and toilet in the stream.

A creative use for a sliver of land. The chipboard structure suggested permanence, which probably drew official attention. It looks like a Duple bodied Bedford, possibly a Dominant but I'm not a bus expert.

Love the local content! I live in Colliers wood and used to drive past that coach everyday to work. I always assumed it was a family living there but never saw any occupants.

I did this my self with a train of wheeled units. Mine was classed as hyway but wasn't, I used the space for about 15 years, there was a court case but the solicitors and the hyways people the county Council have to lie in a magistrates room to be able to aquire eviction order. The eviction order isn't worth the paper or time or indeed the cost. To be fair I met a liason for the council that was reasonable with communication. I could make a channel about this subject. Many evictions use lies as tactics to achieve eviction, but also a dirtier trick they use is to anger the residents. The trick is never kick off. Let the council kick off.
The council will waste money that is not there to waste, that works in the residents favour and the council will use bulky tactics. Sometimes even using the police, using being the word. Manipulate the police to attempt to do the council dirty work.
The council have very little authority, again that is another subject. I fact authority is now so crippled that it relys of lies to bond it's illusion. Another subject again. Local and central government are corrupt organisations, most people know that now.
I stayed and decided to move. But all over the county there are ubiquitous residential projects. Old Conveyancing mainly.. They are everywhere. As the county becomes more decided there will be more ghettos organised and Slum. There will be more people aware of why and more affected. Those residential areas that pop up either slum shanti or in some cases technically equipped fortresses. Not only document the issues that cause this type of survival but also is a foundation toward the better world we all wish for. . Meaning the Class system itself is taking a huge shaking naturally by it's own design, as is greed within capitalism and lies that pass them selves off as LAW.
To the I end with a commer, As this isn't even the start of the communication on these subjects,

You would be surprised about how some councils operate and take unusual actions to speed up a process. My local council set fire to empty garages to speed up a building project.

Over the years, here in Portsmouth, several derelict pubs have suffered from ''unexplained'' fires, usually when the council want to build a block of flats on the land!!

One things for sure - he wouldn't have been there when the BOC Factory caught fire. Seem to remember it was BOC's Special Gases division at one time. Sleepeze's Factory used to be just up the road from there (may still be - not been in the area for years).

About the same time a bloke lived in a coach just outside Petworth on the A272. I remembering him manage to stay there for a good five years. Don't know how he got away with it.
Another small family of squaters i knew in that area were never moved on because they were so freindly the neighbours never complained to the council and when they were finaly being evicted their neighbours complained so much a loop hole was found for them to stay! Of course this was in the posh end of West Sussex and one of the neighbours was a former High Sheriff. Lol. It's still who you know.
